2. Qatar Offers Mirage 2000-5 to India

4. IRCON receives Rs 750 cr contract for track installation in Uttarakhand
- Ircon International has bagged a contract worth Rs 750 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam for a new broad gauge track installation between Rishikesh and Karanprayag in Uttarakhand, the company informed the stock exchange in a filing.
- Ircon International is a subsidiary of Indian Railways, and it focuses on the construction of infrastructure projects.
- According to the contract, Ircon International will complete the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of broad gauge ballastless track for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited.

5. India's counter to China in high altitude areas: DRDO unveils light battle tank Zorawar
- The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has tested its light battle tank Zorawar in Gujarat's Hazira, with its induction into the Indian Army expected by 2027.
- Kamat reviewed progress at Hajira plant, DRDO and L&T integrated USVs for loitering munitions, learning from Russia and Ukraine conflict.
- The Indian Army has placed an initial order for 59 Zorawar tanks, with plans to potentially procure a total of 354 light tanks. The Zorawar will help balance the scales against China's existing fleet of lightweight mountain tanks, like the Type 15, which have a significant advantage in the high altitudes of Ladakh.

6. Nitin Gadkari inaugurates Horiba's Greenfield manufacturing plant in Nagpur

9. ADB, ENGIE SA partner to build 400 MW solar power plant in Gujarat
- The Asian Development Bank has arranged a Rs 1,460 crore loan for ENGIE group to construct a 400-megawatt solar photovoltaic power plant in Surendranagar, Gujarat.
- ADB led a Rs 14.6 billion loan, with ADB and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank providing Rs 7.3 billion, according to a Manila-based multilateral funding agency.
- The project will support the Government of India's target of achieving at least 500 gigawatts of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.

10. DVC to invest Rs 20,000 cr in solar energy projects by 2030
- Damodar Valley Corporation plans to invest Rs 20,000 crore by 2030 to install 4,000 MW of solar capacity, aiming to enhance thermal, pump storage power plants, and solar energy.
