20241. Boost to 'Make in India' initiative! Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge launched
- Ministry of Defence on Friday announced that Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, Yard 125 (LSAM 15) was launched by Capt Prashant Saxena, AWPS (Mbi) at M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in Thane on Feb 10, 2023.
- The ACTCM Barge is a 'Make in India' initiative of Ministry of Defence. The Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge auxiliary equipment/systems have been sourced from indigenous manufacturers.
- Contract for construction of 11 x ACTCM Barge was concluded with M/s Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd, Thane, an MSME, in consonance with “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiatives of the Government of India. The Indian Navy signed the contract with Suryadipta Projects Private Limited on March 5, 2022.
20242. 65-year-old ICF of Indian Railway exported 650 rail coaches in last few years to 14 countries
- The 65-year-old Integrated Coach Factory (ICF) of Indian Railway (IR) has exported 650 railway coaches, shells and other components to other countries. The ICF has also obtained the distinction of being the only carbon negative unit of Indian Railways.
- According to official data of railway obtained by TNIE, the ICF has exported more than 650 rail coaches, shells, and other components manufactured in Chennai based unit during the last few years to 14 countries, including Thailand, Burma, Taiwan, Philippines, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Malaysia, Angola and Sri Lanka.
- the ICF has obtained the distinction of being the only Carbon negative manufacturing unit over Indian Railways (IR). "It has installed 7 windmills of 1.5 MVA capacity each in the Tirunelveli district in Tamil Nadu", a railway source said adding that the ICF has become able to offset the CO2 generation by generating more green energy from windmills and solar power plants than it needs to consume.

20243. कोटा होकर दौड़ने वाली ट्रेनों को भी मिलेगा सुरक्षा कवच
- कवच भारतीय उद्योग के सहयोग से अनुसंधान डिजाइन और मानक संगठन (आरडीएसओ) की ओर से स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित एटीपी प्रणाली है। भारतीय रेलवे में ट्रेन संचालन में सुरक्षा के शामिल उद्देश्य को प्राप्त करने के लिए दक्षिण मध्य रेलवे ने इसका गुल्लागुड़ा- चिटगिड्डा रेलवे स्टेशनों के बीच परीक्षण किया है।
- यह सम्पूर्ण सुरक्षा स्तर-4 मानकों की एक आधुनिक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक प्रणाली है। कवच ट्रेनों को खतरे (लाल) पर सिग्नल पार करने और टक्कर रोकने के लिए सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए है। यदि चालक गति सीमा के अनुसार ट्रेन को नियंत्रित करने में विफल रहता है तो यह ट्रेन ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम को स्वचालित रूप से सक्रिय करता है।
- यह ऐसे दो इंजनों के बीच टक्कर को रोकता है, जिनमें कवच प्रणाली काम कर रही है। कवच प्रणाली ट्रेनों को खतरे का सिग्नल पार करने से रोकेगी। ओवर स्पीड से ट्रेन दौड़ाने पर स्वत: ही ब्रेक लग जाएंगे। समपार फाटकों के पास से ट्रेन गुजरेगी तो स्वत: ही सिटी बजना शुरू हो जाएगी। नेटवर्क मॉनिटर सिस्टम के माध्यम से ट्रेन की आवाजाही की केंद्रीकृत लाइव निगरानी होगी।
20244. इंदौर: मप्र में बनेगा देश का सबसे बड़ा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट, इंदौर के समीप तलाशी 25 हजार एकड़ जमीन..!
- देश का सबसे बड़ा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट मप्र में बन सकता है। उद्योग विभाग ने इसके लिए 25 हजार एकड़ जमीन की तलाश की है। इंदौर से करीब 40 किमी के दायरे में यह एयरपोर्ट रहेगा। राज्य शासन को इस संबंध में प्रस्ताव भेज दिया है।
- सरकार अब इसी क्षेत्र पर फोकस करेगी। इन क्षेत्रों में होने वाला विकास अब इसी जमीन के आसपास होगा। यहीं लॉजिस्टिक हब बनेगा या कोई उद्योग लगेगा।
- इस प्रोजेक्ट पर मप्र इंडस्ट्री डेवलपमेंट कॉरपोरेशन की एक अलग टीम काम कर रही है। बताया जा रहा है कि इस एयरपोर्ट से पैसेंजर और कार्गो पर तो फोकस किया ही जाएगा, साथ ही लॉजिस्टिक को भी बढ़ावा दिया जाएगा।

20245. भारत और फ्रांस संयुक्त रूप से उत्तर प्रदेश में राफेल रखरखाव के लिए केंद्र विकसित करेंगे
- भारत ने 2016 में फ्रांस के साथ 36 राफेल जेट हासिल करने के लिए एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए थे, जिनमें से 33 की डिलीवरी हो चुकी है। भारत और फ्रांस के रक्षा मंत्रियों के स्तर पर चर्चा हुई। दोनों देशों ने राफेल को लेकर कुछ अहम मुद्दों पर चर्चा की।
- प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' अभियान एक बड़ी सफलता होगी अगर राफेल केयर सेंटर को चर्चा के सभी चरणों को पार करने के बाद औपचारिक रूप से लॉन्च किया जाए।
- जवार नोएडा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा उत्तर प्रदेश में देश के सबसे बड़े अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे के रूप में विकसित हो रहा है। भारत सरकार ने हवाई अड्डे के एक हिस्से में राफेल विमान के लिए दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा रखरखाव केंद्र विकसित करने का प्रस्ताव फ्रांस के सामने रखा है। फ्रांस इस प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार करने का इच्छुक है, जो दोनों देशों के लिए आर्थिक रूप से फायदेमंद है।
20246. Over 34 road projects sanctioned in Meghalaya
- Over 34 road projects under the Meghalaya plan schemes have been sanctioned for Rs 85.5 crore covering a total length of 70.08 km during 2021-22.
- The construction and widening of critical road projects like NH-40 between Shillong and Dawki, widening of Tura-Dalu road and up-gradation of Nongstoin-Wahkaji road are all in good progress.
- under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the total number of sanctioned schemes till date is 1174 to connect 728 habitations with a total sanctioned cost of Rs 3,034 crore covering a length of 4755.19 km.

20247. Assam Government Planning To Construct Satellite Townships In Guwahati.
- Guwahati will soon get its first satellite township – ‘New Guwahati’, which is expected to have a population of around four lakh people by 2025.
- According to a top official of the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), the authorities had a plan to develop nearly 70-kilometer long linear space from Rampur in Kamrup (rural) district to Sonapur in Kamrup (metro) district into a metropolitan area, but they will now have to leave out many villages after a CEPT study revealed they were under tribal blocks and belts.
- Out of the total land area of 6549 hectares for the proposed township, 28% would be used for residential reasons, 1% for retail commercial purposes, 4.5 percent for wholesale commercial purposes, and 9% for industrial purposes.
- A total of 12% of the land would be used for public and semi-public purposes, while 21% of the land would be designated as a green belt, and another 15% would be recognized as an eco-sensitive and eco-friendly zone.

20248. Tripura: Rs 20 crore for football infrastructure development
- The central government has released Rs 20 crore as special assistance for infrastructure development related to football in Tripura.
- With the allocated funds, a total of four football stadiums located in different parts of the states will be upgraded with synthetic coating Tripura.
- Rs 20 crore has been sanctioned as special assistance for the upgradation of the football fields. Astroturf synthetic coating is being done in these fields which means, look and feel wise, the stadiums will be akin to international soccer stadiums.

20249. 8 Lakh Functional Household Tap Water Connections To Be Installed In One Month: LG
- Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, the ambitious campaign by the J&K government lays out a target of installing Functional Household Tap Water connections in 8 Lakh houses within a period of one month by converging the efforts of all stakeholders, through the Implementation Support Agencies (ISAs), into a mass programme.
- In Jammu & Kashmir, the Jal Shakti Department of the UT government envisages to provide Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) capable of providing quality drinking water meeting BIS 10500 standards @ 55 litres per capita per day (lpcd) on a sustainable basis to all unconnected rural Households in the UT with Piped Water Supply.
- The UT has set an aspirational target of achieving ‘Har Ghar Nal se Jal’ by August-2022 as against the nationwide target of 2024. And for that, a total of 5774 Pani Samitis/Village Water & Sanitation Committees (VWSCs) have been framed and 5427 Village Action Plans (VAPs) have been prepared in total 6887 villages of UT of J&K.
20250. Jammu and Kashmir: NIT Srinagar gets DST-FIST grant of Rs 2.67 crores
- Two departments of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar have been selected for financial support of Rs 2.67 crores under ‘Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure in Universities and Higher Educational Institutions (FIST) Program 2021’ by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
- The funds are aimed at acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and setting up of laboratories for conducting internationally recognized research.
- The duration of support will be for a period of up to 5 years.
