20231. Amul expects 18 pc growth in turnover to around Rs 46,000 cr this fiscal
- India’s leading dairy cooperative GCMMF, which markets dairy products under the Amul brand, is expecting an 18 per cent growth in its turnover this fiscal year to around Rs 46,000 crore on better demand, its Managing Director R S Sodhi said.
- Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (GCMMF) had posted a marginal growth of 2 per cent during the 2020-21 financial year to Rs 39,200 crore despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The cooperative sells 150 lakh litres of milk per day, of which Gujarat contributes around 60 lakh litres, Delhi-NCR 37 lakh litres and Maharashtra 20 lakh litres

20232. Mumbai's 3 Central Railway stations installed with solar panels
- In Mumbai's Titwala, Kasar and Igatpuri stations, solar panels of a total of 90 kWp were installed after the inspection of the Central Railway (CR) General Manager.
- this installation will result in annual savings of over Rs 8 lakhs for CR in terms of total power consumption at these stations.
- The General Manager conducted an annual inspection of the Igatpuri-Kalyan section of Mumbai Division and participated in Speed Run (test) between Vasind and Titwala.
20233. Rs 20,000 cr Subordinate Debt scheme for MSMEs: Govt says proposal to modify guidelines in progress
- The Rs 20,000-crore Credit Guarantee Scheme for Subordinate Debt (CGSSD) launched in June 2020.
- The scheme, intended to support stressed MSMEs or non-performing asset (NPA) accounts, has been able to extend guarantees amounting to Rs 81.78 crore to 756 borrowers only as of December 31, 2021, according to the MSME Ministry’s 2021-22 annual report.
- To provide guarantee coverage for loans given to the promoters of the eligible MSME units, the government had contributed Rs 4,000 to set up a Distressed Assets Fund, of which only Rs 157.41 crore was released to the Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprise (CGTMSE) in March 2021 that operates CGSSD,

20234. Besides industrial investments, PM may launch projects during J&K visit
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate and lay foundation for some developmental projects during his visit to the Union Territory which is expected to take place by March-end or April start. Official sources told the Excelsior that investment proposals in Jammu and Kashmir might also cross Rs 70,000 crore by the time the Prime Minister formally launches the scheme in the Union Territory.
- The Union Territory has already received investment to the tune of around Rs 70,000 crore including foreign investments from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir headed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had visited in the month of January. During the visit, investment proposals worth thousands of crores were signed by Jammu and Kashmir with top business leaders of the UAE
- As far as industrial investments are concerned, sources said the Jammu and Kashmir administration has already received proposals to the tune of Rs 70,000 crore which are increasing and the Prime Minister will formally launch the scheme after which results of the scheme will be visible on ground.
20235. CredAvenue raises $137 million, turns unicorn in 18 months
- CredAvenue has raised $137 million in a Series B round that values the online debt marketplace at $1.3 billion within 18 months of inception, the fastest a fintech startup has turned a unicorn in the country, the company said on March 6.
- The startup closed FY21 with revenues of Rs 47 crore and saw its revenue grow to Rs 450 crore within the first six months of FY22.
- The platform has over 2,300 corporates and 750 lenders as clients and has facilitated debt volumes of over Rs 90,000 crore.
20236. Nirmala Sitharaman’s dream project ‘Cosmos’ takes off in Mysuru
- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said ‘Cosmos’, coming up on the Mysuru University campus would be more than just a planetarium to gaze at the sky on a real time basis as it will offer data which can be used by young scientists for “future learning”.
- Coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 81 crore from Sitharaman’s MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund, the project is expected to be ready by March 2023.
- the country needs a centre where real time data, which is related to astrophysics is available to students and researchers.

20237. Meet Indian-origin executive leading project to set up 4G network on Moon
- Nishant Batra, a top executive at Nokia, is leading the project to set up the first-ever 4G cellular network on the Moon. Sharma was born in Delhi and studied at a university in Madhya Pradesh before moving abroad for higher courses
- Nokia had said that the innovations of Bell Labs, its research arm, would be used to build and deploy "the first ultra-compact, low-power, space-hardened, end-to-end LTE solution on the lunar surface".
- Finnish telecommunications giant Nokia had in 2020 been selected by NASA to build the first 4G network on Moon for Artemis -- its 2024 mission to put humans back on the Moon. Communication will be a key component of the mission.
20238. India set to export record 7 million tonnes wheat this year; an opportunity to gain market share
- India is set to export a record 7 million tonnes of wheat this year as a rally in global prices gives the world`s second biggest producer of the grain an opportunity to gain market share
- In the 2012-13 fiscal year, India shipped a record 6.5 million tonnes.
- New Delhi has already sent 4,000 tonnes of the grain to Afghanistan via an infrequently used land route through Pakistan.

20239. यूक्रेन से युद्ध के बीच भारत को दूसरे एस-400 स्क्वाड्रन की आपूर्ति करेगा रूस
- यूक्रेन से चल रहे युद्ध का भारत को रूस से मिलने वाले हथियारों की आपूर्ति पर कोई असर नहीं पड़ेगा क्योंकि रूस इसी महीने भारत को एयर मिसाइल डिफेन्स सिस्टम एस-400 का प्रशिक्षण स्क्वाड्रन देगा। रूस से दूसरे एस-400 स्क्वाड्रन की आपूर्ति जून में की जाएगी।
- भारत ने रूस के साथ पांच एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम एस-400 खरीदने के लिए 5.43 बिलियन डॉलर यानी 40,000 करोड़ रुपये में सौदा किया था। पांच रेजीमेंट (फ्लाइट) में आठ लॉन्चर हैं और हर लॉन्चर में दो मिसाइल हैं।
- भारत इसके लिए 2019 में 80 करोड़ डॉलर की पहली किश्त का भुगतान भी कर चुका है। रूस में बने ताकतवर एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम एस-400 की पहली खेप दिसंबर में ही भारत पहुंच गई थी। यह सिस्टम पंजाब सेक्टर में तैनात किया गया है। यहां से यह पाकिस्तान और चीन दोनों के खतरों से निपट सकता है।

20240. Govt: 12,000 MSME registrations recorded on Udyam portal almost every day
- Government’s new paperless portal for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to register through Aadhaar number, Udyam Registration is seeing around 12,000 registrations almost every day
- Udyam portal, which shows real-time registration count, has recorded 75.25 lakh registrations since its launch on July 1, 2020, after the government revised the MSME definition.
- 95 per cent (71.49 lakh) of business registrations are micro-enterprises while only 4.5 per cent (3.4 lakh) are small and 0.46 per cent (35,298) are medium enterprises, data showed. Udyam portal indicated that around 65,000 MSMEs are working in the field of plastics sector
