20201. 3 women preserving heritage crafts of Kashmir
- The story of three young women Inshada, Soliha, Arifa on the International Women's Day.
- Inshada Bashir - Inshada Bashir Mir; a 28 year-old lady has been working to revive the diminished state of crafts in Kashmir,Inshada after completing her bachelor’s degree in science pursued MBA degree in Craft Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
- Soliha Shabir - Soliha Shabir has come forward to revive the poetry of the famous Kashmiri poetess, Habba Khatoon, Soliha says, “It is not only Habba Khatoon that I wanted to work on but on the other fields too besides poetry to revive the different cultures and traditions of Kashmir.”
- Arifa Jan - Arifa Jan, a Kashmiri artisan, has been working on reviving traditional Namda—a rug made of felted wool, She says that due to the lack of skilled manpower and low availability of raw material, the traditional Namda was vanishing from Kashmir.

20203. Agri Deptt To Rope In Gourmet Popcornica LLP To Boost Corn Production In JK: Navin Choudhary
- An expert team of Gourmet Popcornica LLP comprising Venkateswara Babu K, Yugandhar Yanamadala (CEO) and S B P Pattabhiramarao gave detailed information about their products and services. Territory Head J&K, Policy Advocacy Research Centre (PARC), Ruchita Rane, also attended the meeting and shared her expertise.
- Principal Secretary asked the Gourmet Popcornica team to conduct sample and soil testing in selected patches of land throughout the Union Territory. He also urged upon the Gourmet Popcornica team to provide marketing support to the farmers producing sweet corn and pop corn varieties of J&K. He said that the local private players would also be encouraged to partner with the leading popcorn company of India.
- In this regard, he directed the respective Directors of Agriculture department to identify land. It was informed in the meeting that a total of 25 acre of land would be provided to find viability of various kinds of maize in Jammu region while equal area would be provided in Kashmir region for the purpose.

- Hero Electric and Sun Mobility jointly will start deployments in the next three months with a target of around 10,000 electric 2Ws by the end of this year.
- The electric two-wheeler manufacturer has sold over 450,000 units and over 750 touchpoints to fasten the electric mobility transition in India. It continues to partner with various Tier 1 start-ups for infrastructure development, banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions to broaden access and ease of affordability of electric two-wheeler to its customers.
20205. JSW Energy signs PPA with Haryana for 240 MW Kutehr project in Himachal Pradesh
- JSW Energy said that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) for its 240 MW Kutehr hydro project in Himachal Pradesh. The power supply agreement will be valid for 35 years.
- JSW Energy’s total capacity of the green business is 3.8 GW including 2.5 GW of under-construction projects, while the total Hydro assets are 1.6 GW including 240 MW of under-construction project (Kutehr).
- The company has now signed PPA’s for the entire 2.5 GW under-construction renewable projects, and the 225 MW solar plant (under group captive) is nearing completion with commissioning scheduled shortly.

20206. DTC to deploy 1,500 electric buses in Delhi under CESL 'Grand Challenge'
- An initiative of Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) has gained in-principle approval from the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) Board for the deployment of 1,500 electric buses to be used in the national capital
- In the first phase of its 'Grand Challenge' scheme, CESL plans to deploy 5,450 single-decker buses and 130 double-deckers in five metropolises -- Bangalore, Delhi, Surat, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
- The DTC Board approved the engagement of 1,500 AC low-floor electric buses of which, 921 buses under FAME-II scheme and 579 buses under non-FAME-II category.
20207. Tata Motors bags order to supply 65 EVs to Kerala's electricity board
- The supply of 65 EVs includes 60 Tigor EVs and 5 Nexon EVs. "This order is part of a competitive pan India tender, floated by KSEB in line with the state's vision 'Go Green/Carbon Neutral' by 2030
- Tata Motors claims to have 85 per cent market share and over 15,000 Tata EVs on road in the country.
- A handover ceremony was organised in Trivandrum on Monday in the presence of Kerala's Minister of Electricity K Krishnankutty, Transport Minister Antony Raju and other government officials.

20210. Shriram Housing Finance AUM crosses Rs 5,000 crore
- Mumbai-based affordable housing finance company Shriram Housing Finance said that the company’s Assets Under Management (AUM) crossed Rs 5,000 crore as of February.
- The company’s AUM has grown ahead of the market to over 3x in the last three years, from Rs 1,500 crore to cross Rs 5,000 crore .
- NPAs have dropped from 5.6% to under 1.5% during the same period. Despite Covid disruptions, disbursements grew by 95% in FY21 and 36% in 9MFY22, and NPAs dropped to the lowest in 8 years
