20101. Transforming J&K: UT admin focuses on implementing NEP-2020
- In implementing the NEP-2020, the J&K UT administration is mainly focussed on skilling and facilitating the employability of students, besides promotion of local languages and culture.
- Vocational courses, co-curriculum activities and student exchange programmes will be made an integral part of the education system under NEP.
- The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department (JKHED) has started taking initiatives for implementing NEP-2020 to ensure equitable access, gender parity and to uplift Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs). It has taken several initiatives and executed several state and centrally-sponsored schemes.
20102. JK Bank wins National Award for SHG Bank Linkage, commissions 4 Business Units
- Ministry of Rural Development (GoI) has awarded J&K Bank with ‘National Award for Outstanding Performance for FY 2020-21’.
- Keeping its commitment to extend banking facilities and financial services into the under-banked areas of Jammu and Kashmir, J&K Bank has expanded its footprint by commissioning four Business Units (BUs) in the valley.
- The Bank’s MD & CEO, Baldev Prakash inaugurated the Business Unit Pattan Village in Baramulla in presence of Executive President Sunil Gupta, President Ashutosh Sareen. He also e-inaugurated the business units Model Town Sopore, Bakura Ganderbal and Narakara Budgam during the function attended by Zonal Heads Tabassum Nazir and Arshad Hussain amidst good gathering of valuable customers, senior citizens, local businessmen and other officers of the bank.
20103. Job seekers become job providers
- The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Budgam has been successful in engaging over 2500 youth with the establishment of 876 entrepreneurial and self-employment units across the district.
- JKEDI District Centre, Budgam has been at the forefront of engaging the educated unemployed youth of the district including females. Out of the 876 units established, 118 units have been set up by female beneficiaries of the district.
- JKEDI Budgam has targeted youth in the age group of 18-35 and 18-40 years with minimum qualification of 8th pass under its different schemes aimed at creating entrepreneurial and self-employment ventures.
- Under the Seed Capital Fund Scheme, an amount of Rs. 29.30 Crore has been disbursed among the 433 beneficiaries as seed money (subsidy) through the scheme partner J&K Bank to make their projects bankable and help them establish their entrepreneurial ventures. In addition to the seed money, loans at concessional interest rates have been provided by the respective J&K Bank branches to these beneficiaries to help them establish their business ventures.
20104. EVs to get Rs 2.2 lakh Cr in capex by 2030: Crisil report
- India will see industrial capex of Rs 22-24 lakh crore till 2030 and electric vehicles and its value chain will comprise roughly 10% of that amount.
- a report by Crisil, electric vehicles and the auto value chain will get around Rs 2.2 lakh crore in investments over the next 8 years, up from 0.5 lakh crore in the 2015-22 period.

20105. NHPC pays Rs 933.61 crore interim dividend to govt for FY22
- State-owned hydro power giant NHPC said it has paid an interim dividend of Rs 933.61 crore to the government for the financial year 2021-22.
- NHPC Chairman and Managing Director AK Singh handed over dividend payout advice of Rs 933.61 to Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy
- NHPC has earned a net profit of Rs 2,977.62 crore for the first nine months of the current financial year against Rs 2,829.16 crore in the year-ago period.

20106. L&T Construction receives three new contracts, including specialty hospital
- Larsen & Toubro has secured 'significant' orders for its construction and infrastructure businesses, the company announced in a press statement.
- L&T is an Indian multinational engaged in EPC projects, hi-tech manufacturing and services. It operates in over 50 countries worldwide. The company's consolidated net profit fell 16.70 per cent to Rs 2,054.74 crore on 11.14 per cent increase in net sales to Rs 39,562.92 crore in Q3 FY22 over Q3 FY21.
- The Railways SBU has secured an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) order of IRCON International LTD. The order comprises of 25 kV overhead electrification, signalling, and telecommunication works for 549 RKM/678 TKM railway lines in the Northeast Frontier Railway.

- India became the fifth most valued stock market beating the United Kingdom, Canada and Saudi Arabia. Despite the turbulence in equity markets across the globe, India achieved yet another milestone in market capitalisation.

- Rahul Banerjee`s group has recently discovered purely covalent bonded organic nanotubes (CONTs) with a hitherto unavailable structure via a novel bottom-up approach.
20110. Delhi: Development commission to transform 1,000 parks in the next five years
- Under the 'community parks initiative', launched by the Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDCD), the authorities are all set to transform 1,000 parks in the next five years.
- DDCD will be collaborating with Delhi Parks and Gardens Society (DPGS), RWAs and CSR or philanthropic organisations for giving parks a makeover.
- The new parks will have public conveniences, including adequate lighting, CCTVs, toilets, and a dedicated play area for toddlers, children and adolescents with child-friendly play equipment and covered seating areas.
