- SunTec Business Solutions, a provider of pricing and billing software that helps sectors such as BFSI, telecom and others in revenue and customer experience management, launched a new R&D centre in Chennai at an investment of around $1 million.
- SunTech founder and CEO Nanda Kumar said the company intends to invest a further $10-15 million over the next 3 years in engineering, R&D and infrastructure
- SunTec counts over 130 clients across 45 countries. Headquartered in India, it has offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Singapore, UAE, UK and USA to cater to the global customer base.

- The Odisha government established its first ever Human Milk Bank on March 09 Human Milk Bank has been opened at the Pediatrics Department of the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar
- It is intended to fulfil the nutritional needs of the newborns
- The newborns are deprived of their mother s milk due to so many reasons It is the 34th Human Milk Bank of its kind in the entire country This facility is a part of an initiative by National Health Mission

- In pursuance of the Prime Minister's vision "Gati Shakti" and Ministry of Railways' policy regarding 'Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal' (GCT), the Asansol Division of Indian Railways has successfully commissioned private siding of Maithan Power Limited at Thaparnagar, Jharkhand.
- The Prime Minister's PM Gati Shakti is an initiative aimed at synergizing the infrastructure projects of all key infrastructure Ministries including Railways, Roadways, Waterways and Aviation for planning and coordinated execution of nation-wide infrastructure projects including all the State Governments.
- This is the first such GCT commissioned in Indian Railways since the publication of GCT policy in December 2021

20087. Parleys in UAE for Sikkim tour promotion
- Sikkim’s commerce and industries department held discussions with tourism companies based in the United Arab Emirates during the ongoing World Expo in Dubai on Wednesday in an effort to woo tourists from the Arab country and its neighbours to the Himalayan state.
- The tour operators in Dubai evinced keen interest in bringing UAE tourists to Sikkim and also invited Sikkimese people to visit the UAE.
- Sikkim had attracted a whopping 1,33,388 foreigners in 2019, a year before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the industry hard. In the two years since, the footfall has come down to a trickle.

20088. ISRO to pick 150 students for ‘Young Scientist Programme’
- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is organising a special programme for school children called “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA) or “Young Scientist Programme” to impart basic knowledge on space technology, space science and space applications to young students, especially for those from rural areas.
- The programme aims to select 150 students across the country, who are studying in Class IX as on March 1, 2022 in a school located within the territory of India
- The programme is also expected to encourage more students to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based careers and research work

20089. A Village In Sikkim Makes Handmade Paper The Ancient Egyptian Way
- The Borong-Polok Handmade Paper Unit is a successful venture by the Sikkim Development Foundation with equity capital and local participation from local households.
- This village cooperative produces handcrafted paper products. The paper produced is of different grades and gets exported to places like Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand.
- The people working here use the ancient technique of paper making using the bark of the papyrus tree which is scaled off, pulped down to make a paste with water, then put through a sieve. The resulting paper is textured and superfine.

20090. Nagaland govt signs agreement with pvt company for solar power project.
- Nagaland Government on 10th Mar 2022 signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a private company for setting up of the first greenfield solar power project in Dimapur district of the state.
- Nagaland government would provide the land on lease while Halo Energie Pvt Ltd would take up the 20 MW power project estimated to cost around Rs 120 crore.
- The project envisages to generate solar power close to 28 MU per year, the company informed. This green power will also be a stepping stone for the state government in fulfilling the RPO (Renewable purchase obligations) compliance
