19961. Skye Air Mobility to expand fleet to 120 drones in 12-15 months
- Drone delivery logistics firm Skye Air Mobility said it plans to ramp up its fleet size to about 120 drones in 12-15 months from the current four as it chases growth opportunities in key areas such as healthcare and diagnostics.
- the company has crossed the milestone of 1,000 flights in six months of operations, and is looking to reach a level of one lakh flights over the next 12 to 15 months.
- The company is eyeing a fleet size of 120 "with different capacity of drones in different hubs, which will be catering to numerous spokes". The announcement on the seed funding round will be made shortly and another round will be conducted in 8-9 months.

19962. Samsung to invest Rs 1,588 crore to set up a new compressor manufacturing plant at Sriperumbudur
- Samsung announced an investment of Rs 1,588 crore in India to set up a new compressor manufacturing plant for refrigerators at Sriperumbudur near Chennai.
- The new facility, spread over 22 acres, will have a capacity to produce 8 million compressor units a year, which will be expanded in the future. through this investment, around 600 people will get employment

19964. Modi govt plans to rejuvenate 13 rivers, hopes it’ll boost forest cover & carbon sequestration
- The Ministry for Forest, Environment and Climate Change announced the “rejuvenation” of 13 major rivers, which could increase the country’s forest cover by up to 7,417.36 square kilometers.
- The detailed project reports (DPRs) of the 13 rivers were prepared by the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) and released in a press conference
- In 2016, India had pledged to create a carbon sink of 2.5 to 3 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2030. A study has found, however, that India had overestimated the area available for the afforestation and forest restoration required to meet this goal.

19965. Over 8.22 crore taxpayers in FY20, Nirmala Sitharaman informs Rajya Sabha
- India had 8.22 crore taxpayers, which include individuals and corporates, in 2019-20, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the Rajya Sabha
- Total number of taxpayers for AY 2020-21 is 8,22,83,407. The projected total population of the country as on March 1, 2021 …. was 136.30 crore
- The number of taxpayers include persons who pay income tax and corporate tax and who have either filed a Return of Income or in whose case tax has been deducted at source.

19966. Tata Motors receives order for 250 EVs from Aurangabad Mission Green Mobility
- Tata Motors stated that Aurangabad Mission Green Mobility has placed an order for 250 electric automobiles (AMGM). Individual consumers will receive 175 Tata Nexon EVs and 75 Tigor EVs from the company.
- 101 EVs were delivered in the first part of the deal, including 70 Tata Nexon EVs and 31 Tata Tigor EVs. In the next few days, the remaining vehicle deliveries will be completed as part of the second phase.
- Tata Motors is presently the market leader in electric vehicles, owing to the Tata Nexon EV. In India's first 11 months of the current fiscal year, the manufacturer claims to have had an 87 percent market share in the electric car sector.
19967. Centre nod for construction of new ALGs at Dirang: Chowna Mein, Arunachal Pradesh, Deputy CM
- Arunachal Pradesh Deputy chief minister, Chowna Mein stated the Government of India has agreed, in principle, for construction of New Advanced Landing Grounds (ALG) at Dirang and Development of an old abandoned ALG at Anini for Civil and Military operations.
- CM Said Very soon we will be commencing fixed wing operations connecting many Advanced Landing Grounds or ALGs. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has already signed an agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited for leasing two aircrafts for exclusive operations in Arunachal Pradesh".
- Under the Regional Connectivity Scheme, govt. would be constructing Heliports at Itanagar, Daporijo, Tuting, Walong, Yingkiong and Ziro to enable faster and reliable connections to these locations.”

19968. Regional agriculture fair at Assam Agricultural University.
- Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Joint director said that the government was initiating steps to promote natural farming in the country.
- Addressing the concluding function of the three-day Regional Agriculture Fair at Assam Agricultural University here on Monday, Kumar further said that the government was giving utmost importance to the development of agriculture in the country.

19969. 36 Proposals Of Rs 74.77 Crore Sanctioned Under NEVF: Minister
- The Minister for the Development of North Eastern Region, G. Kishan Reddy, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha on Monday 14th March informed that the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd.’s 36 proposals have been given in-principle commitment of Rs. 74.77 crore under NEVF – in Healthcare, Edutech, Agri& Agri Allied, Tourism, Food Processing, IT & ITES etc. sectors.
- The Corporation has organized a Startup Investment Festival,to provide a platform to local entrepreneurs to showcase their business ideas and to pitch for investment through access to capital for scaling up their businesses. It will also help them avail other facilities like handholding support, advisor network, investor network, marketing support.
- The North East Venture Fund (NEVF) is a dedicated venture fund for the NE promoted by NEDFi, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) and the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).

- A unit of Red Horns Division, organized a skill development & employment awareness mela at Moranjana School Ground in Rangia district.
