19991. IIT Bhubaneswar develops 50% more infrastructure within the budget
- IIT-Bhubaneswar scripted a different story, creating 50% more infrastructure within the same funds
- At a cost of Rs 2,100 crore the institute is on its way to develop an infrastructure of 3.36 lakh SqM, one and half times more than what the funding was meant for.
- The central government sanctioned Rs 1,260 cr in July 2016 to each of the second generation IITs to build a campus of built space in project mode.
19992. 8 सालों से खुद घोंसले बनाकर मुफ्त में बांट रहे हैं शम्भू, अब तक बना चुके हैं 31 हजार चिड़ियों के घर
- गुजरात धांगध्रा में लकड़ी के फर्नीचर का काम करनेवाले, शम्भू भाई को चिड़ियों से विशेष प्यार है। अपने जीवन की एक करुण घटना से प्रेरित होकर, उन्होंने पक्षियों के मजबूत घोंसले बनाना शुरू किया। वह अब तक 31 हजार घोंसले बनाकर मुफ्त में बांट चुके हैं।
- उन्होंने ऐसे दूसरे घोंसले भी बनाए, ताकि किसी और को भी वह इसे बांट सकें। उनका एक छोटा सा वर्कस्टेशन भी है, जहां वह लकड़ी का काम करते हैं। उन्होंने बचपन में अपने पिता से लकड़ी का काम करना सीखा था।
- हर एक घोंसला बनाने में तक़रीबन 100 से 150 रुपये का खर्च आता है। एक घोंसले से शुरू हुआ यह सफर आठ साल में 31 हजार घोंसलों तक पहुंच गया।
- जिसे भी वह घोंसले देते हैं, उनसे इसका फोटो खींचकर भेजने को जरूर कहते हैं। 31 हजार चिड़ियों का घर बनाकर बांटने के बाद भी उनका काम रुका नहीं है। साल 2024 तक कुल 51 हजार घोंसले बांटना उनके जीवन का लक्ष्य है। शम्भू भाई अपने इस काम के कारण इतने मशहूर हो गए हैं कि पर्यावरण दिवस, जल दिवस या चिड़िया दिवस जैसे समरोह में लोग उन्हें जरूर बुलाते हैं और शम्भू भाई वहां भी अपने घोंसले लेकर पहुंच जाते हैं।
19993. Maruti Suzuki sells 1 mn S-CNG vehicles; expects demand to remain strong
- India’s largest home-grown auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced that its S-CNG vehicles have reached a milestone of 1 million units in terms of cumulative sales.
- Maruti Suzuki offers the largest portfolio of 9 CNG vehicles — Alto, S-Presso, WagonR, Celerio, Dzire, Ertiga, Eeco, Super Carry and Tour-S — in the personal and commercial segment in the country.

19994. ISRO successfully conducts ground test of solid booster stage for SSLV
- THE INDIAN Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully completed the ground test of the solid-fuel based booster stage (SS1) of its new Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV), completing the ground testing of all three stages of the launch vehicle. The new launch vehicle is now ready for its first development flight, which is scheduled for May this year.
- The successful test of solid booster stage has given sufficient confidence to proceed with the first developmental flight of SSLV (SSLV-D1), which is scheduled in May 2022.
- The SSLV was designed to be smaller, cheaper, and quickly assembled for commercial launches on demand. The SSLV is likely to cost R 30 crore as compared to R 120 crore for each Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), which is India’s workhorse
19995. India's exports make a sharp recovery, overall exports shoot up by 36%
- India’s foreign trade is showing a sharp recovery. As per the communiqué by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry the exports as well imports in services, as well as merchandise, are showing an upward trend.
- According to the figures released by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry India’s exports, Merchandise and Services combined in February 2022 are estimated to be USD 57.03 Billion, exhibiting a positive growth of 25.41 per cent over the same period last year and a positive growth of 27.07 per cent over February 2020.
- Non-petroleum and non-gems & jewellery exports in February 2022 were USD 26.75 Billion, registering a positive growth of 19.01 per cent over non-petroleum. The non-gems & jewellery exports were at USD 22.48 Billion in February 2021 and positive growth of 25.72 per cent over non-petroleum and non-gems & jewellery exports of USD 21.28 Billion in February 2020.

19997. Leading EV Battery Maker Exicom Group To Invest Rs 200 Crore To Augment Production Capacity In Next 3 Years
- The Exicom Group has confirmed investments worth Rs 200 crore in the next three years to commission a new facility in Hyderabad in Telangana.
- The company is anticipating the sales of EV chargers to shoot up by around three times to over 20,000 units in FY23.
- Exicom recently became the largest EV charger maker in India by completing a milestone 5000 installations within four years of being set up.
19998. Made-in-India fifth generation fighter jet to get Centre's nod soon
- India’s ambitious project to have a fifth generation indigenous fighter aircraft is on course with the decks cleared for a nod from the Cabinet Committee on Security headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- The process for obtaining the Cabinet Committee on Security’s (CCS) approval for design and prototype development of Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) has been initiated
- The AMCA is envisaged to be a modern fighter aircraft with superior stealth features. While the Rafale coming to India is a 4.5 generation fighter aircraft, China boasts a fifth-generation aircraft with the Chengdu J20. Pakistan has already taken the J10 from China and is looking to acquire the J20, as well.
19999. Govt to spend Rs 25,000 crore in next five years to develop new and existing airports
- the central government will spend Rs 25,000 crore in the next five years to develop new and existing airports across the country,
- in the next five years to construct new terminals, expand and modify existing terminals, expand or strengthen existing runways, aprons, Airport Navigation Services (ANS) infrastructure, control towers and technical blocks.
- The government is also looking to invest Rs 36,000 under public-private partnerships for the development of new greenfield airports across the country.
- So far 'in-principle' approval has been given to set up 21 greenfield airports across the country.
- AAI has further identified 154 airports including 14 water aerodromes and 36 helipads so far to be developed under UDAN for the operation of RCS flights.
20000. 21 सालों से मिर्गी के रोगियों का मुफ्त इलाज करता है यह डॉक्टर!
- डॉक्टरों की लापरवाही से बीमार पड़ी माँ की अंतिम इच्छा थी कि बेटा ऐसा डॉक्टर बने जो गरीब की गरीबी को समझे और पैसे के लिए पेशे का गलत इस्तेमाल न करे। साल 1987 में सेठ जीएस मेडिकल कॉलेज, केईएम हॉस्पिटल, मुंबई से एम सीएच (न्यूरोसर्जरी) करने के बाद डॉ. नगेंद्र वहीं असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर के पद पर काम करने लगे। साल 1989 में पश्चिमी राजस्थान में पहली बार डॉ. नगेंद्र ने ही न्यूरोसर्जरी ब्रांच की स्थापना की।
- साल 1999 आते-आते उन्हें मिर्गी के रोगियों के साथ हो रहे अत्याचारों के बारे में पता चला। इन रोगियों को जूती सुंघाई जाती थी, कोड़े मारे जाते थे। तब उन्होंने सोचा कि इन्हें राहत देने के लिए कुछ काम किया जाना चाहिए। गाँव से आए कुछ मिर्गी के रोगियों से जब उन्होंने बात की तो पता लगा इलाज महंगा होने की वजह से वे पूरा इलाज नहीं करा पाते हैं।
- डॉ. नगेंद्र ने 28 फरवरी, 1999 को निःशुल्क मिर्गी कैम्प की शुरुआत की। पहले एक कंपनी दवाएं दे रही थी, बाद में दूसरी कंपनियों से बात की। समझाया गया कि वे मरीज़ों को फ्री सैम्पल दें, बदले में उनकी कंपनी की दवाइयाँ महीने भर के लिए लिखी जाएंगी। 12-15 शिविरों के बाद हुए प्रचार प्रसार से उस वक़्त 12 कंपनियां जुड़ गई थीं, जो हर मरीज़ को एक महीने की निःशुल्क दवाई देती थी। इस प्रकार एक दवा कंपनी जो दवाई बांटती थी, उसका नम्बर दुबारा एक साल बाद ही आता था।
- 2000 से 2005 तक उन्हें शिविरों के संचालन में कई दिक्कतें आईं। सबसे बड़ी दिक्कत यह महसूस हुई कि मिर्गी से ग्रस्त महिला रोगी कभी माँ नहीं बन पाएंगी या उन्हें कभी माँ बनने की कोशिश भी नहीं करनी चाहिए क्यूंकि ऐसा करने से या तो बच्चा मर जाएगा या वे खुद भी मर सकती हैं।
- निःशुल्क शिविरों के आयोजन के पूरे 21 साल में अब तक 260 कैम्प हुए हैं। इस दौरान 90,000 से अधिक मरीज़ मिर्गी जैसी बीमारी से पूर्ण रूप से स्वस्थ हुए हैं। अतिनिर्धन को आज भी एक माह की निःशुल्क दवा दी जा रही है। कुछ को 15 दिन की दवाई निःशुल्क दी जाती है। जो लोग मोटर साइकिल/कार से आते हैं, उन्हें दवा खरीदने को कहा जाता है। 400 में से हर महीने 100 नए मरीज़ों को इलाज के लिए शामिल किया जाता है।
