20011. Ather Energy enters North-East India: Opens first retail outlet in Guwahati
- Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has marked its entry in the northeastern part of the country. The company has inaugurated its first experience centre of North-East India in the capital city of Assam.
- Ather Energy’s new retail outlet, Ather Space is located at JKON Building, opposite Sonaram Field, Bharalumukh, Guwahati – 781009, Assam. The Ather Space will provide a unique ownership experience along with complete service and support for the owners.
- Moreover, Ather Energy has installed 2 fast-charging points currently at Ather Space, Guwahati, and it plans to add more charging points in the city in the coming months.

20012. FlyBig launches maiden flight service from Hyderabad to Gondia
- FlyBig Airlines launched its maiden flight service from Hyderabad to Gondia in Maharashtra to boost transport connectivity.
- The service is a UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) initiative, which is aimed to bolster the regional connectivity to travelers to Tier-II and Tier-III cities.

20013. North Eastern Development Finance Corporation
- North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), has organized a Startup Investment Festival, 2022 from 15.02.2022 to 15.03.2022. This event will provide a platform to local entrepreneurs to showcase their business ideas and to pitch for investment through access to capital for scaling up their businesses. It will also help them avail other facilities like handholding support, advisor network, investor network, marketing support etc.
- The reason for organizing this event is to reach out to start-ups and first generation entrepreneurs of North Eastern Region (NER) and boost the start-up ecosystem in the region.
- North East Venture Fund (NEVF) is a dedicated venture fund for the NER promoted by NEDFi, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) and Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). It was launched in September, 2017 with a corpus of Rs. 100 crore, with contributions of Rs. 45 crore as interest free loan from MDoNER, Rs. 30 croreby NEDFi itself and Rs. 25 crore from SIDBI. It is registered with Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) under SEBI (AIF) Regulations, 2012, as a sector agnostic fund. Till date, a total of 36 proposals have been given in-principle commitment (sanction) of Rs. 74.77 crore under NEVF - in Healthcare, Edutech, Agri&Agri Allied, Tourism, Food Processing, IT&ITES etc. sectors.

20014. Integrating Sheep Development Scheme to Give Boost to Animal Husbandry Sector in J&K
- The Jammu and Kashmir government started the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme in 2020 with an aim to promote the establishment of sheep and goat units in the union territory. A budget of around Rs.10 crore has also been set aside for the initiative.
- Animal husbandry, a sector of agriculture, has become an enticing industry in Jammu and Kashmir due to its high-profit potential and low investments. The Jammu and Kashmir government started the Integrated Sheep Development Scheme in 2020 with an aim to promote the establishment of sheep and goat units in the union territory.
- A budget of around Rs.10 crore has also been set aside for the initiative. The residents of Chhapar village in Udhampur's Jaganoo block have already begun to reap the benefits of the scheme and are reaping huge profits.

- Natural Battery Technologies, a Lithium-Ion Battery manufacturer in India, located out of Rajasthan, is actively developing high-performance batteries with increased safety parameters.
- The Battery packs are weatherproof and made of strong external closures. The battery is also built with shockproof material to withstand strong impacts at high speeds.
- The company with the long-range batteries can enable mileage of two-wheelers with more than 250km as compared to average scooter batteries which are 75-150Kms.
20016. Tata Motors to sharpen focus on electric, CNG

20017. Indian Army engineers build first-of-its-kind 3D printed house for jawans
- In a journey towards widening the horizons of digitized construction, the Indian Army's Military Engineering Services (MES) constructed two houses within three weeks using 3D Rapid Construction Technology,
- The 3D-printed houses, constructed in South-Western Air Command in Gandhinagar, are the first-of-its-kind structures in India.
- The defence services said that the 3D printed houses are symbolic of the modern-day rapid construction efforts to cater faster to the growing accommodation requirements of the Indian Armed Forces.
- The MES recently constructed India’s first 3D Printed sanitary blocks with a total built area of about 600 sq ft at Jaisalmer, marking a new beginning for the possibilities of Construction 3D printing in Defense applications.
20018. Mumbai becomes first South Asian city to aim for carbon neutrality by 2050
- From achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 to increase in and equal access to green spaces to improving air quality monitoring, Mumbai has announced many measures in its Climate Action Plan (MCAP) unveiled
- The city has set a target of achieving total carbon neutrality/net zero emissions by 2050, two decades ahead of the Government of India's promised deadline set at the Glasgow CO Summit in 2021.
- India has committed to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2070. This makes it the first city in South Asia to set such a timeline

20019. MCL becomes largest coal producing company in India
- Coal India unit, the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has become the largest coal-producing company in the country. The company said it has crossed 157 million tonnes in coal production in the financial year 2021-22. And, on March 12, the company produced 7.62 lakh tonne of dry fuel.
- MCL has despatched over 166 MT dry fuel to the consumers, registering 22% growth over a previous financial year
- it has also removed 195 MCuM (million cubic meters) of over burden registering 19 per cent growth over the last financial year

20020. BrahMos missile's air-launched version to hit targets 800 km away: Sources
- The air-launched version of the BrahMos missile will be capable of reaching targets up to 800 kilometres away
- India has enhanced the range of the tactical missile recently, and it can go beyond 500 kilometres with just an upgrade in its software.
- The Indian Air Force has equipped around 40 of its Su-30 combat aircraft with the BrahMos cruise missiles, which can cause heavy destruction in enemy camps.
