20041. Over Rs 754 Crores Earned During Last 3 Yrs From Coal & Key Minerals : Meghalaya’s Commerce & Industry Minister
- The Commerce & Industry minister of Meghalaya – Sniawbhalang Dhar, during the Budget Session of the Meghalaya Assembly informed that over Rs 754 Crores in revenue from coal and other key minerals had been collected during the previous three years.
- The revenue share for coal is 75% for the state government and 25% for ADCs, while the revenue share for other important minerals is 40% for the state government and 60% for ADCs.
- The state government has given the three ADCs a total of Rs 209.39 crore. This outstanding sum to be paid is Rs 21.01 crore,” Dhar said, noting that Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) is owed Rs 2 crore and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) is owed Rs 18.18 crore.

20042. First Ethanol Refinery to Produce 30000 Litres of Ethanol to Set Up in India
- This will not only provide ethanol at competitive prices, but it will also provide employment opportunities for farmers who can grow bamboo for the plant. In addition, the Centre has committed to blending 20% ethanol with gasoline by 2025. This opens up a lot of possibilities for using bamboo-based ethanol.
- The project is the culmination of four years of work to promote bamboo as a key resource for farmer livelihood security and global climate resilience.
- The technology developed in collaboration by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and Nagarjuna Industries allows for the establishment of medium-scale bamboo-based ethanol plants in the country for an investment of Rs 65 crore each.

20043. 41 Innovative Farmers Awarded During Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela 2022
- Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela, organised by IARI, New Delhi, on the theme “Self-reliant farmer with technical knowledge” during March 9-11, 2022, has been concluded. In the valedictory session, 36 farmers from all corners of India were awarded with IARI innovative farmer award of 2022.
- 40,000 farmers from different regions of the country participated and learned about varieties and technologies of IARI and 100 ICAR institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
- IARI gave live exhibition on drone technology, precision farming, wheat varieties, fruits, vegetables, flowers, different agricultural models and farmer advisory services. The major attractions of the fair were: Smart/Digital Agriculture, Agri Startups and Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), innovative technologies of IARI, such as the solar powered ‘Pusa-Farm Sun Fridge; Pusa Decomposer, Pusa Complete Bio-Fertilizer (unique liquid formulation providing Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium).About 1500 quintals of Pusa seeds were purchased by the farmers.
20044. Government Seeks to Expedite Drone Application & Acceptance In The Agriculture Sector
- The central government has increased its efforts to boost drone usage in agriculture. The strategy calls on the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) to expedite drone applications and acceptance.
- The amount of drone startups operating in the country is a strong indication of this. There are just 180 drone startups in India, which have raised a total of $27 million over the years.
- Drones spraying pesticides might alleviate a number of difficulties for the industry. It has the potential to alleviate the sector's workforce deficit, particularly during peak crop seasons. Drones might also aid in agricultural evaluation and land record digitization, as well as provide a new source of employment in the country.
20045. IIT Delhi's tech innovation hub ties up with US' National Science Foundation for cobotics, AI research
- I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) of IIT Delhi has collaborated with the National Science Foundation (NSF), USA to expand frontiers in research and development work related to Cobotics and associated technologies especially Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
- I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the TIH of IIT Delhi, as per a latest development will provide an additional INR 50,00,000/- towards the funding of the cobotics projects for research and development
- The IHFC will fund researchers working in the area of medical simulations, drone technology and applications, healthcare robotics, rehabilitation robotics, human-robot interactions, intelligent sensing and secured communications, and industry 4.0 & beyond
20046. IIT Madras innovation lab to showcase students’ projects at Open House 2022
- The Centre for Innovation (CFI) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has opened registration to witness Open House 2022, an event where the recent projects and accomplishments of the student innovators of the institute will be showcased.
- CFI will be hosting Open House as a hybrid event from the Terrace Hall on the campus on March 13 from 12.45 pm. The event will serve as a platform for students to connect with experts and prominent industrialists.
- CFI, a student lab established in 2008, was set up with a vision to encourage engineers to apply knowledge from their academic pursuits to innovate and propose solutions to real-world problems.

- केके झुनझुनवाला उत्तर प्रदेश में अयोध्या के खरोंच में एक पेपर मिल का निर्माण करते थे। 1981 में Yash Pakkaनाम की कंपनी के साथ गन्ने की खोई से रैपिंग पेपर बनाने का व्यापार की शुरुआत की गई थी।
- वर्ष 1981 में उत्तर प्रदेश के अयोध्या में यश पक्का लिमिटेड की शुरुआत हुई थी। समय की कसौटी पर खरा उतरते हुए और मजबूत होकर कंपनी अब गन्ने के कचरे से टिकाऊ कागज और टेबलवेयर बनाकर 300 करोड़ रुपये का कारोबार करती है। कंपनी का अगला लक्ष्य 2025 तक 1,400 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंचना है।

20048. LG stresses on OFC-based connectivity for all hamlets in Ladakh
- Ladakh Lieutenant Governor (LG) R K Mathur has stressed on connectivity based on optical fibre cables (OFC) for all hamlets in the Union Territory. He has assured the service providers of all necessary support from his administration for providing mobile towers and digital connectivity across Ladakh.
- The LG reviewed the progress on the National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) scheme for connecting all the 193 gram panchayats through fibre as the gram panchayats are currently on VSAT-based systems.
- the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) has shared that Ladakh may be considered for connecting villages based on the PPP (public-private partnership) model and the work may be allotted in this fiscal, while Jio officials have informed that all their cell phone towers on VSATs are being upgraded to OFC-based connectivity, thereby upgrading those to the 4G platform.

- कॉर्पोरेट साझेदारी के तहत IIT मद्रास के विद्यार्थी और वॉलमार्ट के कार्मिक मिल कर शोध प्रोजेक्ट पर काम करेंगे। साझेदारी में प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रमों पर जोर देकर प्रतिभा विकास और रिटेल एवं ईकामर्स उद्योग को अत्याधुनिक तकनीक देने का लक्ष्य है।
- कॉर्पोरेट साझेदारी के तहत IITM के विद्यार्थी और WGT के कार्मिक मिल कर IITM के सेंटर फॉर इंडस्ट्रियल कंसल्टेंसी एंड स्पांसर्ड रिसर्च (IC&SR) के शोध प्रोजेक्ट पर काम करेंगे।

- कंपनी ने सेलम में कई स्थानीय हल्दी किसानों के साथ करार किया है। हम जैविक हल्दी का सख्ती से उपयोग करते हैं क्योंकि हम इसे इसके शुद्धतम रूप में चाहते थे। इसलिए हम हल्दी को सीधे स्थानीय किसानों से मंगवा रहे हैं, जिससे उन्हें बाजार खोजने में मदद मिल रही है
