51. Sibling Deities Of Jagannath Temple In Puri Appear In ‘Hati Besha’ On Snana Purnima
- Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra of Puri in Odisha appeared as “Hati Besha” in the bathing mandap of the Jagannath temple on the occasion of Snaan Purnima on 22 June 2024.
- Water was brought in 108 pitchers to be poured on the three deities of Lord Sudarshan. 35 pitchers were used on Lord Jagannath, 33 on Lord Balabhadra and 18 on Goddess Subhadra.
- The deities took bath with fragrant water brought from the “Suna Kua” (Golden Well) in the temple premises. The water of the well is purified before it is taken to the bathing mandap for bathing the deities.

52. Assam news: Devotees throng to Guwahati to offer prayers in Maa Kamakhya temple amid ongoing Ambubachi Mela
- Devotees from across the country are thronging the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, Assam for the start of the annual Ambubachi Mela. The main gate of the temple will remain closed for three days. Ambubachi Mela is an annual Hindu fair held at the Kamakhya temple. The festival marks the celebration of the annual menstrual cycle of Goddess Kamakhya.
- The festival is organised by the Government of Assam and the Kamakhya Temple Management Committee. Kamakhya Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of India located on the Nilachal Hills.
- The state government will not issue VIP passes for darshan at the temple on June 26, 2024 and June 27, 2024.

53. Abhishek Kumar Tripathi Initiates Distribution of Religious Books Across State Temples
- Abhishek Kumar Tripathi, the respected founder of MG Constructions of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh, has embarked on a mission to distribute religious books to temples across Uttar Pradesh, with the aim of enriching spiritual knowledge and preserving cultural heritage.
- This initiative by Abhishek Kumar Tripathi is a testament to his deep commitment to promoting spiritual education and fostering a sense of unity within the community. The project, which began in early June 2024, involves the donation of sacred texts, commentaries and devotional literature and a variety of religious texts to temples across the state.
- Temple officials and devotees have expressed gratitude to Tripathi for his generous contribution. This initiative started by him will play an important role in preserving religious teachings and encouraging more people to connect with their spiritual roots.

54. Idols stolen from Krishna temple near Vijayawada
- Unknown thieves stole the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha from the Sri Krishna temple in Ramavarappadu, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on the night of 22 June 2024.
- The thieves also damaged the car parked in the temple premises.
- Based on the complaint of the temple management, a case was registered by the Patamata police and investigation was started.

55. PETA India gifts robotic elephant to Kerala temple: ‘Lifelike
- PETA India has donated a life-size mechanical elephant to the Purnamaikavu Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, which will be used in all the temple ceremonies.Three life-size mechanical elephants are already in use. They include Irinjadappilly Raman at the Irinjadappilly Sree Krishna Temple in Thrissur, Mahadevan at the Thrikkayil Mahadeva Temple in Kochi, and Shiva at the Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math in Mysuru.
- A fourth robotic elephant, Shankara Hariharan, was donated to the Sree Sankaran temple in Gudalur by the founding executive director of Voices for Asian Elephants, PETA India's statement said.
- PETA India encouraged other venues to adopt mechanical elephants to prevent cruelty against live elephants, who often suffer in captivity due to harsh training and poor living conditions.

56. Siliguri ISKCON temple celebrates traditional bathing rituals of Lord Jagannath
- Preparations for the traditional bathing ritual of Lord Jagannath in anticipation of the 15-day Rath Yatra began at the ISKCON temple in Siliguri in West Bengal from June 22, 2024.
- The bathing ceremony, known as "Snaan Yatra", involves Lord Jagannath, Balram and Subhadra bathing with water collected from various pilgrimage sites, including the Ganges river, along with milk and curd.
- According to tradition, Lord Jagannath is believed to fall ill after the bathing ritual, and the doors of the temple remain closed.

57. सुलतानपुर-श्रीकृष्ण प्रणामी मंदिर का होगा सौन्दर्यीकरण
- उत्तर प्रदेश में सुलतानपुर के ग्राम पंचायत गोविन्दपुर के श्रीकृष्ण प्रणामी मंदिर व गोविंदपुर झील पर्यटन विकास के लिए शासन द्वारा एक करोड़ छह लाख रुपये की स्वीकृत दे दी गयी।
- मंदिर के सौंदर्यीकरण के अंतर्गत यात्रियों के रुकने के लिए हाल प्रसाधन ब्लाक, इन्टरलाकिंग, कोटा स्टोन सहित अन्य कार्य को शामिल किया गया।
- पर्यटन उपनिदेशक द्वारा 21 जून 2024 को श्री कृष्ण प्रणामी मंदिर प्रागण में सौंदयीकरण हेतु भूमि पूजन किया गया।

58. 50 लाख रुपये से होगा घुग्घर नाला शिव मंदिर का सौंदर्यकरण
- हिमाचल प्रदेश में कांगड़ा के पालमपुर नगर निगम द्वारा नाले मंदिर के सौंदर्यीकरण व श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधा हेतु 50 लाख रुपये व्यय करने का प्रावधान रखा गया।
- पालमपुर निगम क्षेत्र के शहीद स्थलों और धार्मिक स्थानों के चरणबद्ध तरीके से जीर्णोद्धार करने का फैसला लिया गया, और क्षेत्र में जनसुविधाओं और मूलभूत सुविधाओं के सृजन विशेष प्राथमिकता पर बल दिया गया।
- पालमपुर नगर निगम क्षेत्र में आने वाले शौचालयों के सुधारीकरण व लावारिश पशुओं को सड़कों से हटाने सौरव वन विहार के कचरा प्रबंधन को भी इनमें शामिल किया गया।

59. ठाल गांव के नवनिर्मित मंदिर में की गई मां काली की मूर्ति की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा
- उत्तराखण्ड में टिहरी गढ़वाल के जौनपुर के ग्राम पंचायत ठाल में नवनिर्मित मां काली मंदिर में काली माता की मूर्ति की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा की गयी।
- मंदिर में कुल पुरोहित द्वारा मां काली माता की मूर्ति का जलाभिषेक और वैदिक मंत्रोचार के साथ स्थापना की गयी, और ग्रामीणों ने मां काली की पूजा-अर्चना कर सुख समृद्धि की कामना की।

60. बजरंग बली की मूर्ति को किया खंडित, मंदिर के आसपास तोड़फोड़
- छत्तीसगढ़ में जांजगीर चांपा के पोड़ीदलहा पहाड़ में विराजित बजरंगी बली की मूर्ति को असामाजिक तत्वों द्वारा खंडित कर दिया गया।
- पोड़ीदलहा पहाड़ पर 2 साल पहले ग्रामीणों द्वारा भगवान हनुमान की मूर्ति स्थापित की गयी। जहाँ रोजाना श्रद्धालु पूजा-अर्चना के लिए पहुंचते है। 18 जून 2024 की सुबह श्रद्धालु पूजा करने पहुंचे तो उन्होंने बजरंग बली की मूर्ति को खंडित पाय़ा।
- ग्रामीण मामले की जांच की मांग को लेकर अकलतरा थाना पहुंचे। ग्रामीणों ने चेतावनी दी कि 7 दिन के अंदर कार्रवाई नहीं होने पर उग्र आंदोलन किया जाएगा, और जिसकी जिम्मेदारी शासन-प्रशासन की होगी।
