23121. किसान ने आम को बनाया बिज़नेस मॉडल, लोकल ग्राहकों से लेकर देशभर तक है पहुँच
- मिलिए नवसारी (गुजरात) स्थित गणदेवा गांव के संजय नायक और उनकी पत्नी अजिता नायक से, जिन्होंने अपने आम के बागीचे में एक बेहतरीन बिज़नेस मॉडल तैयार किया है और 15 से ज्यादा प्रोडक्ट्स बनाकर करोड़ों का मुनाफा कमा रहे हैं। गुजरात के नवसारी के संजय नायक के साथ उनकी पत्नी, बेटा और बहू भी खेती के बिज़नेस (Fruit Pulp Business) से जुड़ गए हैं।
- संजय ने साल 2007 में अपने खेत में ही एक बेहतरीन प्रॉसेसिंग यूनिट की शुरुआत की थी, जिससे वह सालाना तक़रीबन एक करोड़ का मुनाफा कमा रहे हैं। वह आम सहित 15 दूसरे फलों का पल्प (Fruit Pulp Business) तैयार करते हैं और उसे देशभर में बेचते हैं।
- साल 2007 में उन्होंने खुद का एक प्रॉसेसिंग यूनिट शुरू किया, जिसमें 70 लाख रुपये का खर्च आया। उन्होंने अपने इस यूनिट का नाम “Deep Fresh Frozen Products” रखा है। इस काम के लिए उन्होंने बैंक से लोन भी लिया। इस यूनिट में वे फ्रोज़ेन फ्रूट पल्प (Fruit Pulp Business) तैयार करते हैं। खेती से जुड़ा काम संजय संभालते हैं, जबकि फैक्ट्री का पूरा काम अजिता और उनके बेटे संभालते हैं।
- साल 2014 में अजिता नायक को राज्य के ‘सर्वश्रेष्ठ महिला किसान’ का अवॉर्ड मिला था। जिसके बाद साल 2019 में उन्हें राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर ‘प्रगतिशील किसान’ के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। इसके अलावा, वह ‘आत्मा’ प्रोजेक्ट के तहत 30 हजार से ज्यादा लोगों को प्रॉसेसिंग की ट्रेनिंग भी दे चुकीं हैं।
23122. Doctor Converts Car Into Mobile Clinic, Treats Over 1.2 Lakh Patients For Free
- Dr Sunil Kumar Hebbi from Bengaluru is a messiah for those who cannot afford quality health care. For over a decade he has organised 800 medical camps and treated 1.2 lakh patients from his savings. It was just another busy day for Dr Sunil as he was travelling via the Hosur-Chennai highway, in Tamil Nadu, when he encountered an accident victim on the road and rushed to administer first aid. He then proceeded to go with the victim to the nearest hospital to ensure that proper medical treatment was given.
- In 2011 after he quit his job at the hospital he started spending all his time driving from one location to another, treating patients.
- Dr Sunil has organised over 800 medical camps and provided treatment for over 1,20,000 outpatients from in and around Bengaluru. He is a recipient of many awards including one he received from Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India in 2018 for the outstanding work done by his NGO in the field of healthcare.
23123. एपीडा की मदद से उत्तर प्रदेश का पूर्वांचल क्षेत्र देश में नए निर्यात हब के रूप में उभर रहा
- पिछले छह महीनों में उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्वांचल क्षेत्र के वाराणसी, मिर्जापुर, आजमगढ़, प्रयागराज, बस्ती, गाजीपुर, जौनपुर, चंदौली और संत रवि दास नगर जैसे जिलों से लगभग 20,000 मीट्रिक टन कृषि उत्पादों का निर्यात किया गया।
- इन निर्यातों में से लगभग 5,000 मीट्रिक टन ताजे फल और सब्जियां और 15,000 मीट्रिक टन मोटे अनाज वियतनाम, खाड़ी देशों, नेपाल और बांग्लादेश को परिवहन के सभी माध्यमों के उपयोग के जरिये निर्यात किए जा चुके हैं।
- एपीडा ने पूरे वाराणसी क्षेत्र में 30 से अधिक क्षमता निर्माण कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया है जिसके बाद आठ अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रेता-विक्रेता बैठकों का आयोजन किया गया है जिसने निर्यातकों को वैश्विक बाजारों में अपने खाद्य उत्पादों के विपणन के लिए एक मंच उपलब्ध कराया है।

23124. Over 10 lakh 50 thousand beneficiaries receive precautionary dose of Covid vaccine on the first day of roll-out
- Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that over ten lakh 50 thousand beneficiaries have received precaution dose of Covid vaccine on the first day of roll-out.
- The administration of precaution dose began across the country yesterday for healthcare and frontline workers and those over 60 years of age with co-morbidities.
- Prioritisation and sequencing of the precaution dose for the beneficiaries is based on the completion of nine months from the date of administration of the second dose, which is 39 weeks. All citizens irrespective of their income status are being given free COVID-19 vaccination at Government Vaccination Centers.
23125. India’s Enhanced LCA Tejas Fighter Jets ‘Roaring To Soar’; Aircraft Carrier Vikrant Set To Become ‘Action Ready’
- The year 2022 is expected to be eventful for India as the country’s armed forces are set to induct the first indigenously developed aircraft carrier (IAC-I) while the MK-1A variant of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) will take to the skies by June.
- The Navy said the IAC-I Vikrant has set sail for the third phase of sea trials, which will include complex maneuvers to establish detailed readings of how the ship performs in various conditions. Additionally, all LCA Tejas jets, which are in the Final Operational Clearance (FOC) stage, will be delivered to the Indian Air Force (IAF) in 2022, while the LCA MK-1A, with specific enhancements, will fly by the middle of this year, R. Madhavan, CMD of the state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
- The Defense Ministry had struck a Rs 48,000 crore deal with HAL in February last year to provide 83 LCA MK-1A to the IAF. The first three aircraft will be delivered in 2024, followed by 16 aircraft per year for the next five years, according to the Ministry.
23126. India Successfully Test-fires BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile Off Western Coast
- India conducted a successful testfire of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from Indian Navy destroyer Indian Navy Ship (INS) Vishakhapatnam.
- The sea to sea variant of the missile was testfired at the maximum range and hit the target ship with utmost accuracy, informed Indian Navy sources.
- The latest testfire of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile comes a month after the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) informed in December of successful testing of an air version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.
- The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile can cover a range of 290 km reaching the Mach 2.8 to 3 Mach speed. Meanwhile, the BrahMos - II Hypersonic cruise missile can be deployed to hit the target within a range of 450 – 600 km in a Mach 7 velocity.
23127. India’s dairy exports may grow significantly next decade: Report
- Developed markets to buy more value-added items India may see dairy exports growing significantly in the next decade.
- A latest research report by an independent consulting player Wazir Advisors stated that India is uniquely positioned to capitalise on the emerging opportunities in dairy products in the international markets.
- Large international markets such as the US, Canada, and New Zealand are witnessing a stagnation in dairy production, while the consumption is likely to grow - thus, there is an increased export opportunity, noted the report for December 2021. Further, Japan, the Russian Federation, Mexico, West Asia, and North Africa will continue to be important net importers.

23128. Soybean meal export takes a hit
- High prices of soyabean meal in the international market have hit overseas shipment, denting exporters missing out on the peak export season.
- Soyabean meal exports in December are estimated at 90,000 ton as against 3.4 lakh ton in the corresponding period a year ago, according to Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA).
- in the current oil year until December 3.8 lakh ton soyabean meal is exported from the country as against 6.9 lakh ton in the same period.
- SOPA had estimated soyabean output at 119 lakh ton, up 14 per cent from the previous year. In Madhya Pradesh, soyabean production was estimated at 52 lakh ton as against 41.7 lakh ton last year.

23129. To promote Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Modi government to shelve multiple defence import projects
- In a major push towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat in the military sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government is going to shelve a number of defence import projects being acquired through the Buy (Global) route.
- A high-level meeting of the Defence Ministry will take place virtually on Wednesday in which all the import projects under Buy (Global) category would be reviewed and are likely to be scrapped or put on hold by the government, government sources told ANI.

23130. Sri Lanka inaugurates luxury train with help from India, connects Jaffna to Colombo
- India and Sri Lanka crossed another significant landmark in bilateral ties as the island country launched a luxury train service with the help of a Line of Credit offered by India. The luxury train service connects the country's Tamil-dominated Jaffna district to the capital city, Colombo.
- The intercity rail service with all facilities was launched on Sunday, where India provided AC Diesel Multiple Units (AC DMUs) under the loan facility. The luxury train will travel from Colombo's Mount Lavinia suburb to Jaffna's Kankesanthurai port suburb in the north, covering a distance of approximately 386 km.
- India's total development portfolio in Sri Lanka is over USD 3.5 billion, of which around USD 570 million are purely grant projects," the Indian High Commission said in a statement.
