- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), is working under the pilot project 'Parivartan' to establish an electric vehicle zone in an upscale area of Gurugram.
- Diesel autos will not be allowed in this zone.
- Under the project, a plan is proposed to make an Electric Vehicle zone from Cyber City to Golf Course Road, MG Road Metro Station, IFFCO Chowk, HUDA City Centre, Galleria Market, Cyber Park and Subhash Chowk etc.

- These alloys are already being used by many developed nations in recent times as beneficial substitute for the relatively heavier traditional Ni-Cr-Mo structural steels to achieve weight savings.
- The excellent forgeability of high strength-to-weight ratio Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy facilitates manufacture of intricately configured components for aerospace applications with potential for significant weight savings.
- Some of the components which may be forged from this alloy include slat/flap tracks, landing gear, and drop link in landing gear – among several others.

- डीआरडीओ ने आज स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित कम वजन, फायर एंड फॉरगेट Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया।
- मिसाइल को थर्मल साइट के साथ एकीकृत मानव-पोर्टेबल लांचर से लॉन्च किया गया था। मिसाइल ने सीधे हमले मोड में लक्ष्य को मारा और इसे सटीक रूप से नष्ट कर दिया।परीक्षण ने न्यूनतम सीमा को सफलतापूर्वक सत्यापित किया है।
- नई जनरेशन की आकाश मिसाइल (आकाश-एनजी) जो कि सतह से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल है, उसका भी आज ओडिशा के तट पर एकीकृत परीक्षण रेंज (आईटीआर) से डीआरडीओ द्वारा सफलतापूर्वक उड़ान परीक्षण किया गया।

- VegEase, a cart-at-home e-grocery startup, is deploying Electric Vehicles (EV) in its last-mile logistics.
- The startup has a dedicated fleet of company-owned vehicles manned by cart captains and supported by a modern, state-of-the-art warehouse facility.
- VegEase has just completed an initial pilot for EV shift this month, and will move completely to an electric fleet by 2024. It has also partnered with electric vehicle OEM, OBA for their three-wheeler eVikas light commercial vehicles under a long-term leasing model.

- Magenta has inaugurated and set up India’s largest public EV charging station in Navi Mumbai.
- The first of its kind public charging station will be functional 24*7 with 21 AC/ DC chargers for 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers. Depending on the chargers can charge a vehicle in 45 mins.
- For vehicles which require AC slow charging, a parking bay has been developed which allows for overnight charging as well.

- Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed state-of-art platforms and weapon systems and sensors to improve the combat capabilities and technological edge to armed forces.
- These products, systems and technology domains include Missile systems, airborne early warning and surveillance, fighter aircrafts, bridging and mining systems, guided munitions, advanced torpedoes and Advanced Sonar suite, electronic warfare, long range radars and artificial intelligence-based systems.
- Mr Ajay Bhatt said, over one lakh eleven thousand 463 crore rupees are allocated, for the financial year 2021-22, for modernization of defence services with an increase of 21 thousand 415 crore rupees from previous year.

- डीआरडीओ की शाखा एयरोनॉटिकल डेवलपमेंट एजेंसी (ADA) इस समय 4 प्रोजेक्ट्स पर काम कर रही है एडीए वही संगठन है जो वायुसेना और नौसेना के लिए तेजस जैसे लाइट फाइटर जेट्स पर काम कर रहा है।
- डीआरडीओ इस समय फिक्की की तरफ से शुरू किए गए Accelerated Technology Assessment Commercialization (ATAC) के साथ भी जुड़ा है
- तीन सालों में डीआरडीओ ने 91 ऐसे समझौतों को पूरा किया है जो उद्योगों के साथ ट्रांसफर ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी से जुड़े थे।

- Vikrant, built at a cost of around ₹23,000 crore, successfully accomplished its maiden sea voyage on Sunday, it had sailed on August 4 from Kochi.
- Trials which were reviewed by Vice Admiral AK Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Southern Naval Command on the last day, have progressed as planned and system parameters have been proved satisfactory.
- The warship will operate MiG-29K fighter jets, Kamov-31 helicopters, MH-60R multi-role helicopters. It has over 2,300 compartments, designed for a crew of around 1700 people, including specialised cabins to accommodate women officers

- India’s successfully tested the Nirbhay subsonic cruise missile, powered by an indigenous engine, for a range of 150 kilometers off the coast of Odisha on August 11.
- The missile engine called ‘Manik’ was developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under its Indigenous Technology Cruise Missile (ITCM) program.
- India had moved a limited number of Nirbhay missiles to the Line of Actual Control where the Indian Army is locked in a standoff with China’s PLA, Hindustan Times reported in December last year.
