- देश की प्रमुख इलेक्ट्रिक टू व्हीलर बनाने वाली कंपनी हीरो इलेक्ट्रिक (Hero Electric) अगले तीन साल के दौरान सड़क किनारे बैठने वाले 20,000 मैकेनिक्स (Mechanics) को इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों (Electric vehicles) को ठीक करने की ट्रेनिंग देगी.
- पीटीआई की खबर के मुताबिक, कंपनी के एक शीर्ष अधिकारी ने कहा कि इससे उपभोक्ताओं में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन खरीदने को लेकर भरोसा कायम करने में मदद मिलेगी.
- गुरुग्राम (Gurugram) की कंपनी ने बीते वित्त वर्ष में 53,000 इलेक्ट्रिक टू व्हीलर्स (Electric two wheelers) बेचे हैं. इसके अलावा कंपनी का इरादा अगले दो साल के दौरान करीब 20,000 चार्जिंग स्टेशन लगाने का भी है.

- BHUBANESWAR: The Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed Advanced Chaff Technology to safeguard Indian Navy ships from enemy missile attacks.
- The Defence Laboratory Jodhpur (DLJ), a DRDO unit, has indigenously developed three variants of the critical technology -- Long Range Chaff Rocket (LRCR), Medium Range Chaff Rocket (MRCR) and Short-Range Chaff Rocket (SRCR) -- meeting the Indian Navy’s qualitative requirements.
- The successful development of Advanced Chaff Technology by DLJ is another step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat.

- To promote the domestic defence industry, the DRDO has allowed private sector firms to both develop and produce missile systems such as vertical launched surface to air missile systems programme
- The all-weather air defence missile system is being developed to provide point and area defence against various aerial targets like jets, fighter aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles.
- The canister-based state of art weapon system would be able to identify, track, engage and destroy the target with a high kill probability. It has a strike range of about 40 km.

- Walmart-owned Flipkart has partnered with Mahindra Logistics to accelerate the use of electric vehicles in last-mile delivery and will deploy over 25,000 EVs in the fleet by 2030, according to a regulatory filing.
- Mahindra EDEL's robust multi-city presence across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, with a plan to cover the top 20 cities by year-end, will help facilitate a seamless and phased transition to EVs for Flipkart's pan-India supply chain.
- The company’s partnership with Mahindra Logistics EDEL will further propel this momentum and help in deployment at a national scale, further enhanced by infrastructure and technology support that spans charging, tracking, asset, safety, and cost

- Bengaluru: Karnataka has assured support to the US-based Triton Electric to make electric vehicles (EVs), including cars, in the state, an official said on Monday.
- "In a virtual meeting, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa assured the state government's support to Triton founder-chief executive Himanshu Patel for making EVs at Ramanagara near Bengaluru," said the official in a statement.
- The New Jersey-based Triton EV is the second electric car maker to evince interest to invest in the southern state after the world's leading EV maker Tesla announced in mid-January to set up its research and development (R&D) centre in this tech city before foraying into India with its EVs.

- टाटा मोटर्स ने जनवरी-2020 में इलेक्ट्रिक कार Nexon EV को लॉन्च किया था. महंगे पेट्रोल-डीजल से छुटकारा दिलाने के उद्देश्य से इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है.
- टाटा मोटर्स के मुताबिक लॉन्च से अब तक कंपनी को 4 हजार यूनिट्स से ज्यादा नेक्सॉन EV बेचने में कामयाबी मिली है.
- इस समय देश में इलेक्ट्रिक व्हीकल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार भी जोर दे रही है. जिस वजह से Nexon EV की बिक्री में इजाफा हुआ है.

- The Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System is set to become the nation’s first RRTS corridor. The RRTS is a rail-based high-speed regional commuter transit system, which runs on high frequency, connecting big and metropolitan cities, towns as well as urban nodes across the National Capital Region (NCR).
- Implementation of the RRTS corridors in India is an integral part of a larger strategy to address issues of pollution, congestion and is part of the ‘Comprehensive Action Plan’ for Air Pollution Control in Delhi and NCR
- The RRTS will have 1/5th fuel consumption compared with road vehicles because of reduced friction owing to steel-to-steel rolling contact.

- French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will begin his three-day visit to India tomorrow. It will be the first high-level physical interaction between India and France since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

- सरकार का लक्ष्य है कि 2030 तक देश में बिकने वाले 30% वाहन इलेक्ट्रिक हों। इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार अब इलेक्ट्रिक रोड बनाने पर भी काम कर रही है।
- सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने बताया है कि एक लाख करोड़ की लागत से बन रहे दिल्ली-मुंबई एक्सप्रेस वे पर एक लेन ई हाईवे की होगी। यह ई लेन करीब 1300 किलोमीटर लंबी होगी। इससे लॉजिस्टिक का खर्च 70 फीसद तक कम हो जाएगा।
- इन ई रोड पर उसी तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा, जिस तकनीक से जर्मनी में ई हाईवे बनाए गए हैं। जर्मनी और भारत दोनों जगहों पर सीमेंस ( Siemens) ई रोड बना रही है।

- कानपुर: डिफेंस कॉरिडोर में देसी और विदेशी कंपनियां निवेश करेंगी, जबकि करीब ढाई से तीन लाख रोजगार सृजित होंगे। देश को रक्षा उत्पादों के क्षेत्र में आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए मेक इन इंडिया के तहत बड़े पैमाने पर बुलेट प्रूफ जैकेट, ड्रोन, लड़ाकू विमान, हेलीकॉप्टर, तोप और उसके गोले, मिसाइल, विभिन्न तरह की बंदूकें आदि बनाने के लिए केंद्र सरकार के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने अलग-अलग जिलों में डिफेंस कॉरिडोर की स्थापना का फैसला दो साल पहले लिया था।
- इसके तहत राज्य सरकार अलीगढ़, आगरा, झांसी, चित्रकूट, कानपुर और लखनऊ में डिफेंस कॉरिडोर की स्थापना कर रही है। इनकी स्थापना की जिम्मेदारी उप्र एक्सप्रेस-वे औद्योगिक विकास प्राधिकरण (यूपीडा) को दी गई है।प्राधिकरण ने अलीगढ़ में 15 और कानपुर के साढ़ में एक कंपनी को भूमि आवंटित कर दी है।
- डिफेंस कॉरिडोर में निवेश के लिए सौ से अधिक कंपनियां तैयार हैं। 30 से अधिक कंपनियों से करार भी हो चुका है। ये कंपनियां 50 हजार करोड़ से ज्यादा का निवेश करेंगी।
