20461. Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim aim to achieve Har Ghar Jal in 2022: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat!
- Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim aim to achieve Har Ghar Jal in 2022.
- Union government is committed towards the development of Northeast and its impact is visible in the lives of the people of the region.
- Shekhawat appreciated the efforts of North Eastern states for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in their region. He further informed that Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim aim to achieve Har Ghar Jal in 2022. The deadline set by Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland is 2023; Assam aims to meet the goal in 2024.
20462. `Energy Statistics India’: J&K ranks second in solar power potential; can generate 1.11 lakh MWs
- Jammu and Kashmir has the second-highest potential to harness renewable solar energy in India.
- Energy Statistics India report 2022 has revealed that Jammu and Kashmir can generate 111050 megawatts of solar energy.
- The report said the installed capacity of grid-interactive renewable solar power in the Union territory is 20.73 Megawatts. Rajasthan as per the report has the highest potential to harness 142310 Megawatts of solar energy.
- To promote this new source of energy, the J&K government has started the scheme of providing Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic Plant at subsidized rates.
- This scheme is being implemented by JAKEDA. Under this scheme, a 40% subsidy is being provided to consumers for installing Solar Photovoltaic rooftops. The solar rooftops are available from 1 KW to 10 KW capacities and five years of free maintenance is also provided to the consumers.
20463. MoHUA to move Cabinet memo for Jammu, Srinagar MetroLite projects in March.
- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has submitted Rs 10,599 crore worth proposal for Jammu and Srinagar MetroLite projects which is now being given final touch by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and is likely to be cleared by the Union Cabinet in the month of March.
- Jammu will have 23 kilometers MetroLite while Srinagar will have 25 kilometers. Deadline for completion of both the MetroLites has been fixed as March 2026.
- Jammu will have 23 kilometers MetroLite from Bantalab to Bari Brahmana with 22 stations enroute while Srinagar will have 25 kilometers MetroLite in two corridors—each spanning over 12.5 kilometers. The first corridor will be from Indira Nagar to HMT junction while second corridor will be from Hazuri Bagh to Osmanabad.
- Srinagar will have 24 stations—12 on each corridor. “The MetroLite will run in Jammu for 17 hours and in Kashmir for 14 hours,” sources said, adding the MetroLite will have elevated corridors and not underground tunnels.
20464. One Day Workshop on cultivation of Pulses, Oil Seeds held at Kissan Kendra
- A one Day Sensitization Workshop for farmers and field functionaries on the cultivation of Pulses and Oil Seeds under National Food Security Mission (NFSM) was organized today by Department of Agriculture Production & Farmers welfare.
- objective of this workshop is to promote the strategies for enhancing production / Productivity of the crops development programme under the NFSM scheme and to ensure efficient use of resources by farmers besides shift from Production Centric to Income Centric approach for stabilising farmer income.
- The focus of the department is on area expansion under Pulses and Oil Seeds by promoting cultivation of pure crops as well as intercropping with other major crops.
20465. Srinagar boy designs drone for disaster relief.
- Abaan Habib, a Class XII student from Srinagar, has designed a drone that can offer relief to people during a disaster. His creation was showcased at a design event near Ahmedabad.
- Abaan has been a drone enthusiast since he was in Class VIII. The tragedy inspired him to build a drone that can help those stranded seek basic medical aid and food.
- A working prototype of his drone was shown at the defence exhibition at Ahmedabad Design Week (ADW) 3.0 organized by a private university near Ahmedabad.
- I’ve developed a mobile app which has a panic button that people can press during an emergency,” Abaan said. “The location will be traced by the drone and within minutes, it can bring in disaster relief material such as medicines, first aid, and life jackets” Abaan’s startup, Sky Robo Drones, is currently being incubated at NIT Srinagar as well as Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute.
20466. Lavender Revolution in Jammu and Kashmir
- Cultivation of lavender has changed fortunes of farmers in Jammu and Kashmir farmers who quit maize crop cultivation to take up the new crop.
- More than 800 progressive farmers of Doda adopted aromatic cultivation which is now proved out to be more profitable to them than maize. The farmers, who are growing lavender under the Union Government’s Aroma Mission, said that they are happy while adopting farming of unconventional aromatic plants under Aroma Mission.
- Here Main product is Lavender oil which sells for at least Rs. 10,000 per litre. o Lavender water, which separates from lavender oil, is used to make incense sticks. Hydrosol, which is formed after distillation from the flowers, is used to make soaps and room fresheners.
- It is in sync with the government policy of doubling farm incomes by 2022. It will help in providing means of livelihood to budding farmers and agri-entrepreneurs and give a boost to the Start-Up India campaign and promote a spirit of entrepreneurship in the region. Over 500 youth had taken benefit from the purple revolution and augmented their income many-fold.
20467. North East can blaze a trail in embracing electric mobility, says Nick Low
- Nick Low, British Deputy High Commissioner to East and North East India said that North East India can blaze a trail in embracing electric mobility and enhancing its uptake, Economic Times report stated. The UK Government hosted an online summit ‘United Kingdom-Northeast India Clean Growth Summit: Clean Transport’. The virtual summit was in collaboration with FICCI.
- During the virtual summit, experts from the UK and India discussed the unique challenges and ambitions that the North Eastern region has regarding Clean Growth, Zero Emission Transport and Electric Mobility.
- The event provided a platform to celebrate the success the North Eastern region is already having in the climate space as well encouraging further UK Northeast India partnership and collaboration to work on shared priorities and common challenges, creating more green jobs whilst reducing emissions.

20468. 1600 करोड़ रुपये के बजट के साथ पांच साल के लिए मिली आयुष्मान भारत डिजिटल मिशन को मंजूरी
- भारत सरकार के स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय की केंद्रीय क्षेत्र की योजना, आयुष्मान भारत डिजिटल मिशन (ABDM) को 1600 करोड़ रुपये के बजट के साथ पांच वर्ष के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर शुरू करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य प्राधिकरण (NHA), आयुष्मान भारत डिजिटल मिशन (ABDM) की कार्यान्वयन एजेंसी होगी।
- 24 फरवरी 2022 तक, 17,33,69,087 आयुष्मान भारत स्वास्थ्य खाते बनाए गए हैं और ABDM में 10,114 डॉक्टरों और 17,319 स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं को पंजीकृत किया गया है।
- ABDM की प्रायोगिक परियोजना छह केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों लद्दाख, चंडीगढ़, दादरा और नगर हवेली, दमन और दीव, पुडुचेरी, अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह तथा लक्षद्वीप में एनएचए द्वारा विकसित प्रौद्योगिकी प्लेटफार्म के सफल प्रदर्शन के साथ पूरी की गयी है। प्रायोगिक परियोजना के दौरान, डिजिटल सैंडबॉक्स बनाया गया था जिसमें 774 से अधिक भागीदार समाधान एकीकरण के दौर से गुजर रहे हैं।

20469. पानी बोतल से कम दाम पर देंगे कोवैक्सीन, फिर 1200 रुपए कैसे हो गया
- कोवैक्सिन की शुरुआत में कंपनी के चेयरमैन डॉ. कृष्णा ऐल्ला ने कहा था कि हम पानी के बोतल से भी कम कीमत पर वैक्सीन देंगे।
- अब सवाल उठ रहा है कि आखिर ऐसा क्या हो गया कि यह पानी से कम कीमत में मिलने का दावा करने की जगह एक डोज की कीमत 1200 रुपये पहुंच गई।
- हालांकि, कंपनी का कहना है कि वह वैक्सीन की मिलने वाली कीमत का प्रयोग रिसर्च एंड इनोवेशन पर करेगी। कंपनी का कहना है कि वह अपने क्लिनिकल ट्रायल लागत व अन्य खर्च निकालने पर जोर दे रही है। इसके बार रिसर्च एंड डेवलपमेंट का खर्च आता है। कंपनी का कहना है कि इसके लिए हमें कैश की जरूरत है।
20470. लोगों की मदद के लिए शख्स ने बना डाली बाइक एम्बुलेंस, महज एक रुपये लेते हैं शुल्क
- बिहार के एक शख्स ने जुगाड़ का इस्तेमाल कर एक खास एम्बुलेंस तैयार की है, जो तंग गलियों में भी आसानी से जाकर जरूरतमंद लोगों को मेडिकल सहायता उपलब्ध करा सकेगी। इस खास बाइक एम्बुलेंस का निर्माण बिहार के पूर्णिया के रहने वाले नावेद अख्तर ने किया है। नावेद ने अपने शहर की समस्याओं को देखते हुए यह कदम उठाया है और अब वे स्थानीय लोगों को मेडिकल सहायता मुहैया करा पा रहे हैं।
- नावेद ने करीब 15 दिन पहले ही यह सेवा शुरू की है और अब तक वे करीब 10 से अधिक लोगों को अपनी बाइक एम्बुलेंस के जरिये अस्पताल पहुंचा चुके हैं।
- इस खास एम्बुलेंस का नाम नावेद ने ‘राजा एम्बुलेंस’ रखा है और इसके लिए उन्होने एक ग्लैमर बाइक का इस्तेमाल किया है। इस खास एम्बुलेंस में मरीज के लिए एक बेड दिया गया है, जिसे बाइक के बगल में लगे करीब 6 फीट के बॉक्स में तैनात किया गया है।
