20451. Over 96 lakh healthcare, 78 lakh frontline workers registered for vaccination
- The expenditure to be incurred as operational cost for the vaccination of an estimated three crore healthcare and frontline workers is about ₹480 crore, Vardhan said in a written reply.
- The disbursement of funds for meeting the operational cost to the states and Union Territories is being done as per the beneficiaries registered on Co-WIN portal.
- The disbursement of the first tranche of operational cost is ₹1,23,49,14,720, he said.

- India has no concern over the efficacy of the AstraZeneca vaccine that is being used in the country's massive inoculation campaign, Vinod Kumar Paul said
- The world's biggest vaccine-making company had earlier supplied 11 million doses to the government's inoculation campaign that began on Jan. 16.

- Enphase Energy Inc. global energy management technology company and the world’s leading supplier of microinverter-based solar-plus-storage systems, showcased its India manufacturing unit, set up in partnership with Salcomp—a world-leading company in high precision manufacturing.
- The Enphase-Salcomp unit has emerged as India’s largest solar inverter manufacturer by numbers with an annual capacity of more than 6 million units. Based at Salcomp SEZ in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, it produces the Enphase IQ Microinverters, which are currently being exported, thus making the unit one of the largest solar equipment exporters in India by the number of units.

20454. Two solar parks to come up in Jaisalmer, Bikaner dists
- Rajasthan has got another big success in solar energy sector. Two new solar parks of 1,800MW capacity will be developed in Jaisalmer and Bikaner.
- At present, the credit of developing the world’s largest solar park of 2,245MW capacity in Bhadla of Jodhpur district goes to Rajasthan
- a solar park of 925MW capacity is being developed by Renewable Energy Corporation at Nokh in Jaisalmer district. 800MW solar parks will be developed in Jaisalmer by Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam and 1,000MW capacity in Bikaner by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation in the first phase.
20455. Kia India ramps up Anantapur plant's production capacity to produce 3 lakh units annually
- Kia India has announced that in light of growing demand, the automaker has added a third shift to the Anantapur plant to help it realise its annual production capacity of 3 lakh units.
- Kia currently manufactures the Seltos, Sonet, Carnival and Carens in India. Kia India has been successful in India having surpassed production of 5 lakh units manufactured by the plant since production started in August 2019.
- Out of these, 4 lakh units have been sold in India while the rest have been exported. Kia exports cars to 91 countries covering the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and Asia. It also holds the majority share in the utility vehicle exports space against other manufacturers
20456. Maruti Suzuki Sells 1.4 Lakh Units In Feb 2022, Records Highest Ever Monthly Exports
- Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 1,64,056 units in February 2022. Total sales in the month include domestic sales of 1,37,607 units, sales to other OEM of 2,428 units and its highest ever monthly exports of 24,021 units.
- , Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,64,469 units during the same time last year, of which 1,44,761 units accounted for domestic sales, 5,500 to other OEMs, and 11,486 units we accounted for exports.
- The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles that are primarily sold in the domestic market.

20457. 75 Vande Bharat Trains, 220 Tejas And 70 Vistadome Coaches In Indian Railways' Revised Coach Production Programme For FY23
- The Indian Railways plans to manufacture 8,429 train coaches and rakes in 2022-23, including including 75 Vande Bharat Express trains, 220 Tejas and 70 Vistadome coaches, according to the Ministry of Railways's revised coach production programme for FY23.
- A target of 8,115 units was earlier set for the financial year 2021-22. The revised plan for the next financial year, 2022-23, raises year-on-year production targets by 3.9 per cent to 8,429, reports RailPost.
- In total, 75 Vande Bharat rakes have been targeted to be produced by March 2023. Further, the ministry has made several other changes to the original plan including reduction in the production target for First Class AC Sleeper coaches, Two Tier AC Sleeper coaches and standard Three Tier AC Sleeper coaches by 190 units.
20458. India's exports of electronics goods jumped 88% since 2013-14
- The government's initiatives to give a boost to domestic manufacturing is reaping fruitful results as India's exports of electronics goods has witnessed a jump of 88 per cent since 2013-14.
- India's export of electronic goods rose from $6600 million in 2013-14 to $12,400 million in 2021-22 with mobile phones, IT hardware (laptops, tablets), consumer electronics (TV and audio), industrial electronics and auto electronics being the key exports in this sector.
- The government also claims that support is also being extended to exporters through various exporters-oriented schemes. Efforts are being made to reducing compliance burden through rationalization and decriminalization and several initiatives are being undertaken to improve the ease of doing business.

20459. Central Railway earns Rs 443.35 crore from disposal of scrap
- PUNE: Central Railway launched “Zero Scrap Mission” to ensure each division, workshop and shed in Central Railway is free from scrap materials. These scrap materials include scrap rails, permanent-way materials, condemned coaches, wagons and locomotives etc, officials said.
- Central Railway has registered earnings of Rs 443.35 crore for the financial year 2021-22 up to February-2022 from the disposal of scrap. This is Rs 106.57 crore more than the earnings for the corresponding period of last year which is an increase of 31.65%. The earnings for the corresponding period last year were Rs.336.78 crore,
- Central Railway said that sale of scrap is not only helping in generating revenue but also maintaining premises in better upkeep. He also said that Central Railway will work in a mission mode to sell all the identified scrap material at various locations in railways.

20460. Delhi airport signs agreement with IIT to improve operational efficiency | Details here
- The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates the Delhi International Airport i.e. Indira Gandhi International airport, has signed a 5-year agreement with IIT-Delhi on February 21 to improve its operational efficiency.
- With the agreement, the premier academic institution of the country will help the airport authorities with artificial intelligence-based data analytics in improving their operational efficiency as well as create better resource allocation modules to cater the need of flyers.
