- कृष्णकांत बोहरा और निखिल बोहरा ने वर्ष 2015 में जोधपुर से Krimanshi नाम के इस स्टार्टअप की शुरुआत की, जो मुख्यत: जैविक खाद्य अपशिष्ट व कृषि अवशेषों को रिसाइकल करके प्राप्त वैकल्पिक फाइबर, प्रोटीन और वसा के आधार पर पशुओं के लिए पौष्टिक पशु चारा तैयार करता है।
- जोधपुर स्थित पशु पोषण स्टार्टअप, Krimanshi Technologies Pvt. Ltd. के संस्थापक और सीईओ निखिल बोहरा कहते हैं, “ये मिलावट विभिन्न प्रकार के पशुओं के चारे को दूषित कर सकती है और भारी आर्थिक नुकसान का कारण बन सकती है, जिससे उपभोक्ताओं के स्वास्थ्य और ग्रामीण आजीविका पर महत्वपूर्ण खतरा पैदा हो सकता है।”
- वर्तमान में राजस्थान के पश्चिमी जिलों में Krimanshi की उपस्थिति इसे अपने बाजारों को पूरा करने में सक्षम बनाती है। यह स्टार्टअप राजस्थान के जोधपुर, जयपुर, अलवर, धौलपुर, अजमेर, पाली, नागौर, भीलवाड़ा और बाड़मेर जिलों और गुजरात के पाटन, बनासकांठा जिलों में 250 से अधिक वितरकों/ खुदरा विक्रेताओं और एफपीओ व सामाजिक उद्यमों के नेटवर्क के साथ काम कर रहा है। इसके अलावा 5000 किसानों और लगभग 20,000 पशु प्रमुखों की सेवा कर रहा है।

- गुरुग्राम स्थित स्टार्टअप Hopcharge ने दुनिया की पहली ऑन-डिमांड, डोरस्टेप, फास्ट इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन चार्जिंग सर्विस शुरू की है। पिछले कुछ समय से कंपनी इस सर्विस को गुरुग्राम में पायलेट प्रोजेक्ट के रूप में टेस्ट कर रही थी।

- The Finance Ministry on Monday gave in-principle nod to sanction supply credit to Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India.
- The credit will be sanctioned to the nodal ministers in-charge for Covid-19 who will then pass it on to the two companies to ramp up vaccine production, reports said.
- The ministry has cleared a credit of Rs 3,000 crore for SII and Rs 1,500 crore for Bharat Biotech. Reports also said that the payment will be released at the earliest.

- Johnson & Johnson (J&J) has sought permission to conduct phase 3 clinical trials of its single-shot Covid-19 vaccine in India.
- J&J on Monday applied to India's drug regulator to seek a nod to hold phase 3 trials as well as an import licence.
- Unlike other vaccines, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single-dose jab and can be stored for up to three months in a temperature between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. The vaccines India has approved for administration among its citizens are double doses.

- Budget 2022 laid out a grand plan of introducing 400 semi-high speed, next generation Vande Bharat trains in the next three years. FM Sitharaman pointed out that these "new-generation" Vande Bharat trains will offer better energy efficiency and passenger riding experience.
- Indian Railways awarded a contract for self-propulsion systems and equipment for 44 Vande Bharats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address last year said that 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect different parts of the country by late 2023. After that railways floated another tender for 58 new trains, but that is yet to be awarded.
- According to the National Rail Plan 2030, passenger data from 2010-11 to 2017-18 shows that railway passengers have grown at a CAGR of 2% per annum. The maximum growth has been witnessed in the AC category; 3rd AC at 10.33%, 2nd AC at 6%, 1st AC at 6.74% and AC Chair Car and Executive class at 9% & 12% per annum respectively.

- Vaccine manufacturers in India are planning to ramp up production after the government announced liberalising of the procurement process and making everyone above the age of 18 eligible for jabs.
- By June supply of jabs in India is expected to increase upto 200 million with an increase in production from SII and Bharat Biotech and taking into account imports from Sputnik. It currently stands at 70 million.
- The government also asked states and private hospitals to negotiate prices with vaccine makers. The manufacturers in turn have requested the government to price jabs to make them globally competitive.
- Bharat Biotech on Tuesday said it will increase production to 700 million Covid-19 vials and plans to export the vaccine to 60 countries. It kept a price of $15-20 vial for the international market.

- Bharat Biotech has expanded its manufacturing capacity across multiple facilities in Hyderabad and Bangalore to produce 700 million doses of Covaxin annually. The government on Monday approved a payment of about 4,500 crore rupees as advance to vaccine makers including Bharat Biotech and Serum Institute of India (SII) that is producing AstraZeneca’s Covishield in India.
- The move came ahead of opening the vaccination drive to all citizens over 18 years of age. SII will supply 200 million doses and Bharat Biotech is set to supply another 90 million doses to the government by July at a pre-agreed rate of 150 rupees per dose.
- Bharat Biotech said manufacturing has been scaled up in a step-wise manner, and raw and packing materials, and single-use consumables have been secured adequately.
- The company said it is able to expand Covaxin’s manufacturing capacity in a short time due to the availability of new specially designed BSL-3 facilities, a first-of-its-kind for manufacturing in India.
