2431. India’s coffee exports surge 40 pc to surpass $1.54 billion in April-Feb
- On 20 march 2025, It was reported that, India’s coffee exports have recorded a robust 40 per cent rise during April-Feb in the current financial year to surpass the $1.54 billion mark compared with the corresponding figure of $1.10 billion for the same period of the previous year, according to data compiled by the Ministry of Commerce.
- In Rupee terms, the exports increased 43.37 per cent to Rs 13004.75 crore during April-Feb 2024-25 from Rs 9,070 crore in the same 11-month period last
- Karnataka leads in production, contributing 248,020 MT in 2022-23, followed by Kerala and Tamil Nadu (NSE:TNNP).

2432. NPCI partners HitPay to enable UPI payments at 12,000-plus merchants in Singapore
- On 20 march 2025 UPI is set to expand its reach worldwide as nearly 12,000 merchants in Singapore are preparing to accept payments through the platform .
- The Development follows an announcement by NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international arm of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
- The collaboration intends to offer a better payment experience for Indian tourists visiting Singapore as over 1.2 million Indians visited the country in 2024. Through this partnership, Indian tourists will be able to use QR codes to make payments at various locations, including tourist spots, restaurants and retail stores..

2433. Cabinet approves revised ₹2,790 crore dairy development scheme to boost infrastructure
- On 19 March, 2025, The Union Cabinet approved the Revised National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD), aimed at modernizing India’s dairy sector and ensuring its long-term growth.
- The scheme, classified as a Central Sector initiative, has been allocated an additional ₹1,000 crore, taking the total budget outlay to ₹2,790 crore for the duration of the 15th Finance Commission period from 2021-22 to 2025-26.
- Since its inception, the NPDD has had a considerable socio-economic impact. The scheme has benefited over 18.74 lakh farmers and generated more than 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. It has increased milk procurement capacity by an additional 100.95 lakh litres per day.
2434. Cabinet approves Rs 7,000 crore deal for Indigenous ATAGS acquisition
- On 20 march 2025 Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved the acquisition of 307 advanced towed artillery gun systems (ATAGS) for the Indian Army.
- "In a significant milestone for India's defence sector, the CCS approved acquisition of Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System (ATAGS) worth nearly Rs 7000 crore, marking a major step towards self-reliance in artillery gun manufacturing,
- ATAGS, the first indigenously designed, developed, and manufactured 155 mm artillery gun, is set to enhance the operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces with its cutting-edge technology and superior firepower.
- The ATAGS is an advanced towed artillery gun system featuring a long 52-calibre barrel, allowing for extended firing ranges of up to 40 km.
2435. India-made electrolysers shipped for Kandla Port's green hydrogen plant
- Union Minister Of India initiated the dispatch of India-made electrolysers for a green hydrogen plant at Kandla Port on 18 March,2025, According to ANI, the 1 MW plant, slated for completion by July 2025, will initially produce 18 kg of green hydrogen per hour, eventually scaling up to a 10 MW capacity.
- The project aims to provide practical experience in green hydrogen production and usage, with Kandla Port becoming the first in India to operate such a plant using domestically produced electrolysers.
- The project also includes plans to integrate green ammonia production. This initiative aligns with the National Green Hydrogen Mission, promoting sustainable practices in the maritime sector.

2437. Adani Green's arm commissions 250 MW solar power project in Rajasthan
- On 20 march 2025 Adani Green Energy Ltd. on Thursday, March 20, announced the successful commissioning of a 250 MW solar power project in Rajasthan's Bhimsar.
