- On January 4, 2025, It was reported that, The first time, the Prayagraj Railway Division will introduce digital railway tickets through QR codes printed on the jackets of railway employees.
- The initiative aims to spare devotees the inconvenience of standing in long queues for tickets while streamlining the ticketing process for railway authorities.
- The initiative, introduced by the North Central Railway, is designed to simplify the ticketing process for the millions of devotees expected to visit Prayagraj during Mahakumbh 2025.

- On 19 Jan 2025, Indian Railways establish rail connectivity across four districts of Jharkhand—Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, and Chatra—for the first time since the independence of India after 75 years.
- The Jharkhand Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (JRIDCL) conducted the survey, proposing a rail line of 55 km from Lohardaga to Gumla, 43 km from Gumla to Simdega, 20 km from Hatia to Khunti, and 42 km from Hazaribagh to Chatra.
- The Union Cabinet approved three railway projects worth nearly Rs 6,500 crore in August 2024.

- 12 मार्च 2025 , को रीवा की सीमा को पार करते हुए पहली बार ट्रेन छुक-छुक करते हुए सीधी जिले के बघवार पहले स्टेशन पहुंची
- गौरतलब है करीब 40 वर्ष पहले साल 1985 मे ललितपुर सिंगरौली रेल लाइन परियोजना की आधारशिला रखी गई. इसके बाद से यह परियोजना अधर में लटकी हुई थी. यहां से निर्वाचित होकर जनप्रतिनिधि विधानसभा, लोकसभा और राज्यसभा में पहुंचे, लेकिन इस सपने को साकार होने में फिर भी 40 साल लग गए.
- सीधी जिला मुख्यालय में अगले साल तक रेलवे की पहुंचने की उम्मीद जग गई है. रीवा से सीधी जिले पहले रेलवे स्टेशन तक हुए सफल ट्रायल ने लोगों की उम्मीद को पंख दे दिए हैं.

- On May 19, 2014, It was reported that, India's first indigenously developed Beyond Visual Range (BVR) Air-to-Air missile 'Astra' was lauched successfully. The air-launch was captured by side and forward looking high speed cameras.
- The Astra , which also finished a maximum head-on launch range of 100 kilometres, a speed of 4.5 Mach, and launch clearance up to 20 kilometres in height (66,000 ft).
- The importance of having an indigenous air-to-air BVR missile cannot be over-stated with IAF jets currently armed with very expensive Russian, French and Israeli missiles.

- On Jan 17, 2015 Thirty-two years after the project was sanctioned, the first indigenously -built Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) was handed over by Defence Minister to the Indian Air Force.
- The entire project by the DRDO and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is estimated to cost over Rs 30,000 crore. The aircraft that has been handed over has got Initial Operational Clearance-II, which signifies that Tejas is airworthy in different conditions, sources said.
- The handover signals the start of a process of induction of the fighters being built at home under a project which has already cost the exchequer nearly Rs 8,000 crore

- On 31 January 2025, India successfully test-fired its indigenously developed, intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear capable ballistic missile ‘Agni-5’, which has a strike range of over 5000 kms and can carry a nuclear warhead of over one tonne, from Wheeler’s Island off Odisha coast.
- Lot of new technologies developed indigenously were successfully tested in the first Agni-5 trial. The very high accuracy Ring Laser Gyro based Inertial Navigation System (RINS) and the most modern and accurate Micro Navigation System (MINS) had ensured the Missile reach the target point within few meters of accuracy.
- India has at present in its armoury of Agni series, Agni-1 with 700 km range, Agni-2 with 2000 km range, Agni-3 and Agni-4 with 2500 km to more than 3500 range. After a few more trials, Agni-5 will be inducted into the services.

- On August 27, 2017, The Indian Navy took delivery of the first domestically assembled long-range surface-to-air missile system (LRSAM) in Hyderabad.
- LRSAM was jointly developed by IAI and India’s state-owned DRDO in partnership with defense contractors in both India and Israel as part of Indian Prime Minister 's “Make in India” initiative.
- LRSAM is designed to deal with any incoming airborne threats and is equipped with advanced phased-array radar, command and control, mobile launchers and missiles with advanced radio frequency (RF) seekers.

- On March 29, 2018 It was reported that, India’s defence indigenisation efforts achieved a major fillip powerful BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system with an indigenous seeker was successfully flight-tested from the Pokhran test range in Rajasthan.
- The missile was fired from a Mobile Autonomous Launcher (MAL) deployed in full configuration and hit the designated target meeting all mission parameters.
- This successful test-firing of the weapon fitted with an indigenously developed seeker has enthused a fresh impetus in the ambitious “Make in India” programme initiated by the government in 2014. This is the first time India has successfully developed the seeker technology for a missile of this class and calibre.

- On 10 April 2025 In a landmark decision for railway infrastructure development, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, has approved the doubling of the Tirupati-Pakala-Katpadi railway line, a vital 104-kilometer single-line section linking Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

- On 9 April 2025 In a major development, the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) on Tuesday approved India's largest-ever fighter jet deal, clearing the purchase of 26 Rafale Marine combat aircraft for the Indian Navy. The deal, worth over Rs 63,000 crore, will be executed under a government-to-government agreement with France.
- The contract will include 22 single-seater and four twin-seater Rafale Marine jets. It also comprises a comprehensive package for fleet maintenance, logistical support, personnel training, and indigenous manufacturing components under offset obligations.
- The new Rafale Marine deal will also help enhance the IAF's capabilities, including upgrading its "buddy-buddy" aerial refuelling system. This feature will enable around 10 IAF Rafale aircraft to refuel others mid-air, thus extending their operational range.
