20311. Govt approves Rs 1,523 cr for procuring weapons, upgrading IT infra of CAPFs
- The government has approved Rs 1,523 crore for procuring state-of-the-art weapons and improve IT infrastructure of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the CRPF and BSF, in the next five years.
- The modernisation Plan-IV for CAPFs with a total financial outlay of Rs 1,523 crore is to be implemented by the MHA under the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah from February 1, 2022 to March 31, 2026, it said.
- This would bolster the government's ability to address the challenges faced along the International Border, LoC, LAC as well as in different theatres, such as areas affected by Left Wing Extremism, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and insurgency affected Northeastern states, the statement said.
20312. Transforming J&K: Yogyata Se Rozgaar; Hallmark of New J&K
- The Jammu and Kashmir government has launched a slew of measures to uphold the sanctity of this sacred tenet of our constitution. In keeping with the spirit of providing level playing field to job aspirants as guaranteed in the Constitution, the Jammu and Kashmir government has embarked on a journey of ensuring transparency and accountability in appointment of candidates to various public posts.
- The government has made necessary amendments to the recruiting process to ensure that merit and intelligence remains the sole criteria for appointment of candidates for government jobs.
- Apart from referring record number of posts to the premier recruiting agencies like JKPSC and JKSSB, the prime focus has been on ensuring transparent selections for all the referred vacancies.
- The recent appointment of nearly 10,000 candidates in first phase of the biggest ever recruitment campaign including around 8000 Class-IV posts by JKSSB is a prime example signifying the above reforms being carried out by the UT government.
20313. Chinar Corps organizes seminar on ‘Kashmir at Historic Crossroads’
- A one-day seminar, ‘Kashmir At Historic Crossroads’ was organized by Chinar Corps and Think-Tank ‘Kashmir Chapter of International Centre for Peace Studies’ at BB Cantt.
- has been impacted by geo-political maneuverings, resulting in seven exoduses of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir. “Pakistan’s continued use of Kashmir as a tool to hit at idea of India and continued propaganda to misguide youth has had severe impact on the outlook of peace-loving and progressive Kashmiri society.”
- Lt Gen DP Pandey extolled the Kashmiri society to lead the Govt efforts in bringing lasting peace in Kashmir valley. The seminar was third in the series organised to create platforms for intellectual debates on issues pertaining to Kashmir.
20314. India News | Talent Hunt for Budding Singers, Musicians Organized at J-K's Anantnag
- A singing and music talent hunt competition for budding Kashmiri artists was organised in Anantnag on Thursday.
- The audition cum talent hunt was organized by the Indian Army 108 TA battalion in collaboration with Mumbai-based AD Ventures at Khandru camp at Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
- According to the Indian Army, the prime objective of the event was to hone the skills of the selected artists and provide them with a platform to perform in concerts. Some of these concerts are planned for the later part of the year. This will help in increase the reach of our artists and their music.
20315. Improving learning outcomes through continuous feedback : Kansal
- Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department (HED) said Improvement in quality of teaching learning through a process of student feedback and continuous evaluation shall be the motto of the education department in this year.
- During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on various aspects of infrastructural development of colleges like construction of additional class rooms and laboratory blocks, establishment of skill centers of computer and electronics as well as agricultural technology, development of browsing centres, construction of student parking sheds, boundary wall and barbed wire fencing, establishment of skill centres for fine arts, music and language, construction of play grounds and boundary walls, construction of approach roads besides other significant requirements of each college were also discussed in detail.
- While reviewing progress of various developmental works going on in these colleges, the Principal Secretary directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work on these projects for timely completion. He instructed the concerned Principals of the colleges to monitor the ongoing works in their respective colleges on regular basis so that they can be completed within the given deadlines.
20316. You Tube से कोरोना के समय भी लोगों ने की बंपर कमाई, भारत की GDP में दिया 6,800 करोड़ रुपये का योगदान
- पॉपुलर वीडियो स्ट्रीमिंग प्लेटफॉर्म YouTube ने भारत की GDP में भी योगदान दिया है. एक नई रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत की GDP में साल 2020 में YouTube का योगदान 6,800 करोड़ रुपये का रहा. इसको लेकर एक इंडिपेंडेंट फर्म Oxford Economics ने रिपोर्ट किया है.
- भारत में 1 लाख सब्सक्राइबर्स वाले YouTube चैनल्स 40,000 हो गए हैं. ये ईयर ऑन ईयर में 45 परसेंट का ग्रोथ है. ज्यादा भारतीय YouTube क्रिएटर्स इस प्लेटफॉर्म के जरिए अवसर और ऑडियंस तक पहुंच पा रहे हैं.
- भारत में 80 परसेंट क्रिएटिव एंटरप्रेन्योर ने बताया कि इस प्लेटफॉर्म ने उनके प्रोफेशनल गोल पर पॉजिटिव इम्पैक्ट किया है. YouTube अपने क्रिएटर्स को 8 अलग-अलग तरीके कंटेंट को मॉनिटाइज करने के लिए देता है.
- YouTube चैनल्स जो 6 डिजिट या उससे ज्यादा रेवन्यू जेनरेट कर रहे हैं उनकी संख्या ईयर-ऑन-ईयर 60 परसेंट से ज्यादा बढ़ी है. कई क्रिएटर्स ने दावा किया कि YouTube से उन्हें दुनियाभर के ऑडियंस तक पहुंचने में मदद मिली.

20317. Avny Lavasa Directs To Complete Tawi River Front Project On Time
- The Jammu Smart City Limited, Chief Executive Officer, Avny Lavasa visited the construction site to review the progress of Tawi River Front Development project.
- Avny passed directions to officials and project executing agencies to expedite pace of work to complete the ambitious project in a stipulated time frame. She added that the completion of the project would add to the aesthetic value of the city of temples as well as provide business opportunities to the citizens.
- The ambitious project is being developed on the lines of the Sabarmati riverfront in Gujarat to enhance natural purifying capabilities, as well as strengthen environmental and urban infrastructure sustainability.The foundation stone of the project was laid by Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
- Under the project, 3.5 km (both side) long river front is proposed to be completed in 2 phases. The first phase starts from 4th bridge to Tawi Bridge and phase 2 from Tawi Bridge to Gujjar Nagar Bridge.The pathways would be constructed on both the banks of the river to provide easy access to the public.
20318. PM मोदी बोले- भारत ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन का केंद्र बन सकता है
- प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि इस बजट में सौर ऊर्जा की दिशा में उच्च दक्षता वाले ‘‘सोलर मॉड्यूल मैन्युफैक्चरिंग’’ को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 19,000 करोड़ रुपए की घोषणा की गई है और इस मॉड्यूल व इससे जुड़े उत्पादों के निर्माण और शोध से भारत को ‘‘वैश्विक केंद्र’’ बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।

20319. Development process to gain momentum in J&K
- In a significant development which would give further impetus to development process in J&K, the Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) Limited has entered into an agreement with the Indian Overseas Bank for availing a loan of Rs 1000 crore for funding of the languishing projects.
- JKIDFC has entered into an agreement with the Indian Overseas Bank for availing a loan of Rs 1000 crore for completion of the development projects which were at different stages.
- This is a very important step which shall pave the way for timely and smooth clearance of payments for completion of these projects in a transparent manner.
20320. India sends second convoy of 2000 MTs of wheat for Afghanistan
- The second convoy of India's humanitarian assistance carrying 2000 MTs of wheat left Attari, Amritsar for Jalalabad, Afghanistan
- This is part of India's commitment of 50,000 MTs of wheat for the Afghan people and will be distributed by United Nations' World Food Programme.
- Earlier this month, India had announced that it will send 50,000 metric tonnes (MT) of wheat to Afghanistan overland through Pakistan.
