20301. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announces major health sector fillip for Mizoram.
- Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (PSW) and AYUSH, Sarbananda Sonowal announced a slew of measures to boost the AYUSH sector in Mizoram.
- Sonowal, along with the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga, laid the foundation stones for six AYUSH hospitals in Mizoram. In a further boost to the healthcare infrastructure in the hill State of the North-East, as many as 24 AYUSH Health & Wellness Centres (HWC) were inaugurated across Mizoram at the event held here on Thursday.
- Three 50-bedded hospitals will be developed at Aizawl, Champai and Hnahthial in the State, while three 10-bedded hospitals will be developed at Khawzawl, Saitul and Hortoki.

20302. Arunachal Pradesh: Greenfield Airport In Hillongi To Operate From 15 August 2022.
- The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has taken forward the construction work of the Greenfield Airport in the Hollongi region of Arunachal Pradesh. The initiative has been taken to build the airport in view of air connectivity importance in the Itanagar of Arunachal Pradesh and it will also lead to the growth of economic activity in the region.
- The Greenfield Airport will be constructed with an estimated amount of Rupees 645 crore and will be built 15 kilometres from the state's capital city of Itanagar.
- The amount will include all development work, a terminal building, construction of airport pavements, airside work and city side works. The proposed airport will be operational from 15 August 2022.
- The development work will also include emergency requirements establishments like a medical centre and fire station. The Greenfield Airport is mainly designed for operating of A-320 type of planes and future extension of Runway by 500 metre length to serve A-321 flights.

20303. Tezpur University organizes science fest to observe National Science Day.
- Tezpur University (TU) celebrated inSCIgnis, one of the biggest science fests of Northeast India, on the occasion of National Science Day. National Science Day is celebrated in India each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist CV Raman on February 28.
- The fest has provided an opportunity for everyone to learn and enjoy the fun side of science.
- Dean of School of Sciences also highlighted how proper knowledge of science can improve technology and thereby the social welfare as a whole. The Registrar and Dean Students Welfare also adorned the occasion.

20304. UT Of Ladakh Announces 797 Non-gazetted Posts
- Ladakh UT Administration has announced a total of 797 non-gazetted recruitment posts for advertisement by Staff Selection Commission.
- The notice for the said posts will be published in May 2022. The name of the examination is Selection Post Recruitment/Ladakh/2022. The examination will be Computer Based Exam and the tentative date of advertisement is 10/05/2022 and the closing date is 09/06/2022.
- As informed by General Administrative Department (GAD), UT Ladakh, the examination will be held in July 2022 and the exact dates would be notified separately for various exams. The candidate/ applicant should be a resident of Ladakh and should possess a Resident Certificate issued by a competent authority in accordance with the Union Territory of Ladakh Grant of Residence Certificate (Procedure) Order, 2021.
20305. TCS Eyes $50 Billion in Revenue by 2030 with New Operational Structure
- Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is considering to divide its operational structure into four groups acquisition, relationship incubation, enterprise growth and business transformation— presenting an industry-first model that moves away from the “traditional three-dimension ( framework) of geography, vertical or services.
- Growth and transformation projects undertaken by its customers would be the key for the IT behemoth to achieve the $50 billion revenue target that they have set, says the TCS MD & CEO.
- TCS reports its businesses by industry verticals such as retail & CPG, banking financial services, communication among others. This type of business restructuring is not happening for the first time as the company created 23 smaller units of about $250 million each during 2008. Which has helped in boosting growth from $6 billion in the fiscal year 2008-09 to $19 billion by 2018-19 financial year.

20306. India gives nod for indigenous development of light tanks for mountain warfare
- India has given in-principle approval for indigenous design and development of light tanks for mountain warfare, a need for which was felt during the current stand-off with China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
- The Russians had earlier offered its Sprut light tanks to the Indian Army — a proposal that is being considered — even as private firm Larsen and Toubro was working with the DRDO to convert the tracked 155 mm howitzer Vajra into a light tank
- self-reliance and is the first defence ministry announcement since the launch of the Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020 which aimed at ‘simplifying’ project acquisition processes and involve indigenous industry in the development of such projects.
20307. Organic and Natural Farming
- To serve and empower the farming community of this region, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar, Srinagar is coming with another grand event, the ‘7th Technology Exhibition cum Seed Mela 2022, scheduled for March 6-7 with the theme of the year ‘Organic and Natural Farming’.
- The mega show, a unique event and one of its own kind will serve as a platform for the farming community, the farm women, youth, entrepreneurs, private players, NGOs, public representatives, policy makers, planners, students, technocrats, and all other relevant stakeholders engaged in the agriculture and allied sectors to learn, to create, to build and to establish new business opportunities.
- The Mela will associate with it all the farmers including those from UT of Ladakh, the orchardist, the mushroom growers, the vegetables growers, the floriculturist, the livestock rearers, the poultry farmers, the aquaculturist, the sericulturist, the input dealers, various MNCs, the farm machinery representatives and members of Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Board.
- The Mela will focus on ‘Organic and Natural Farming’. Given the thrust on natural and organic farming all across the globe and the appeal of Hon’ble Prime Minister of the country to promote natural farming, this year Technology Exhibition cum Seed Mela will specially focus on technology, demonstrating the organic inputs like biofertilisers, biocontrol agents, bio-organic nutrient management and organic waste treatment.
20308. JK government providing 173 online services: Chief Secretary Mehta
- Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta Thursday said that the Jammu and Kashmir government was providing 173 online services and would add more services soon.
- An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that Inaugurating a one-day workshop on Digilocker and UMANG here, the chief secretary said that at present 173 online services were being provided to citizens of the region and directed the IT department and officers from JaKeGA to identify more services to be rolled out in J&K.
- The chief secretary asked the JaKeGA to map out all public services and prepare detailed project reports for incorporating them on the 'universal set of citizen services'. He asked for launching 50 critical services in mobile format within three months.
20309. Army commences infra improvement project
- In continuation with the Army's efforts of contributing towards development and providing conducive learning to students,Army has undertaken ‘Infra Improvement Project' which has benefited 20-25 underprivileged girls students of village Maira under the jurisdiction of Jaurian district Jammu.
- According to a press note by PRO Defence Udampur,, the aim of this initiative on behalf of the Army is to provide a conducive learning environment to girl students who are underprivileged and belong to poor families.
- The infra improvement project was inaugurated by Sarpanch village Muthi Maira, Principle and staff of the school and representatives of Army.
- The project has helped in overall development of the students. The school was provided infra devp as well as some basic amenities for students for their hastle free education and empowerment to girl child of the village.
20310. Isha Jain honoured with ‘Best Choreographer Award’
- A popular choreographer and Zumba fitness trainer of Jammu and Kashmir, Isha Jain has been honoured with ‘Best Choreographer Award’ and Best Academy of the Year Award-2022, organised by GTown Society at New Delhi on February 26.
- Bollywood celebrity Manisha Lamba was the chief guest of the event who presented the Award of Excellence-2022 to the awardees.
- The organisers of Society said that they keep organizing such award functions so that the morale of the better performers at different levels can be boosted.
