23831. INS विशाखापत्तनम पर दैनिक भास्कर:ब्रह्मोस-बराक जैसी विध्वंसक मिसाइल से लैस है देश का पहला स्टेल्थ डिस्ट्रॉयर, इससे कई गुना बढ़ेगी नेवी की ताकत
- भारतीय नौसेना के बेडे़ में 21 नवंबर को 'INS विशाखापट्टनम' और 25 नवंबर को सबमरीन 'वेला' को शामिल किया जाएगा। इसके बाद दिसंबर महीने की शुरुआत में सर्वे वैसल 'संध्याक' तैनात हो जाएगा। इससे पहले, आज (शनिवार) दैनिक भास्कर 'INS विशाखापट्टनम' पर पहुंचा
- 30 नॉटिकल माइल्स की स्पीड से चलने में सक्षम इस वॉर शिप की लंबाई 164 मीटर और वजन 7500 टन है।
- इस योद्धपोत का डिजाइन नेवी के नौसेना डिजाइन निदेशालय ने बनाया है। जिसका निर्माण मुंबई स्थित मझगांव डॉक शिपबिल्डर्स लिमिटेड (एमडीएल) में किया गया है। यह देश का पहला पी-15बी क्लास का स्टेल्थ गाइडेड मिसाइल विध्वंसक है।
23832. Indian EV market set to lead globally; may peak USD 200 billion by 2030
- The electric vehicle market in India is poised to emerge as the leading market in the world, and it might be over $200 billion by 2030. Electric vehicle manufacturers and experts in the field said that the country needs to focus on renewable energy, charging stations and strengthening its supply chain.
- Experts pointed out the country’s renewable energy capacity stands at 100 GW and it has plans to add 400 GW by 2030. Ather Energy, which is planning for an IPO in two years, has set up over 20 fast-charging points, and is growing rapidly.
- A report by India Energy Storage Alliance estimated that the EV market in India is likely to increase at a CAGR of 36% until 2026. Also, the EV battery market is forecast to expand at a CAGR of 30% during the same period
23833. 110 countries recognize India's Covishield, Covaxin
- As of now as many as 110 countries have recognized India’s Covid vaccines – Covishield and Covaxin – and have agreed to mutual recognition of Covid-19 vaccination certificates with India, said official sources in the Union Health Ministry.
- Ministry said that at present, 110 countries have agreed to mutual recognition of vaccination certificates and those who recognize Indian vaccination certificates of travellers fully vaccinated with Covishield or World Health Organisation(WHO)-approved Covid vaccines
- Of eight WHO-approved vaccines against Covid-19 in emergency use listing, two vaccines — Covaxin and Covishield — are from India
23834. भास्कर इंटरव्यू:आने वाले पांच साल में 50 हजार करोड़ रुपए की हो जाएगी देश की ड्रोन इंडस्ट्री: स्मित शाह
- भारत में ड्रोन यानी अनमैन्ड एयरक्राफ्ट सिस्टम की इंडस्ट्री अगले 5 वर्षों में 10 गुना तक बढ़कर 50 हजार करोड़ रुपए की हो सकती है। इससे अगले 3 वर्षों में 10 हजार और 5 वर्षों में लगभग 20 हजार लोगों को रोजगार मिलने की उम्मीद है।
- सरकार का अनुमान है कि 3 साल के भीतर लगभग 10,000 नई नौकरियां पैदा होंगी
- भारत सरकार ने ड्रोन और ड्रोन कंपोनेंट्स मैन्युफैक्चरिंग के लिए पीएलआई स्कीम मंजूर की है। इससे इस सेक्टर में अगले 3 वर्षों में 5 से 10 हजार करोड़ का निवेश होने की उम्मीद है।
23835. Improving connectivity in rural India: Government approves Rs 33,822 crore to construct 32,152 km roads
- To boost connectivity in rural areas and far-flung regions, like in the Northeast, the Modi Cabinet on November 17, 2021, approved Rs 33,822 crore to construct 32,152 km of roads.
- The decision will boost rural development and be a game-changer for remote areas affected by Left Wing Extremism
- The Cabinet also approved setting up of telecom towers in 7,287 tribal villages of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha. Notably, in the last seven years, the length of national highways has gone up by 50% from 91,287 km (April 2014) to 1,37,625 km.
23836. India provided 15 tonnes of medical supplies worth Rs 2.11 crore to coronavirus-hit China: Government
- India provided 15 tonnes of medical supplies to coronavirus-hit China comprising masks, gloves and other emergency medical equipment at a cost of about Rs 2.11 crore, the government informed the Lok Sabha.
- Medical supplies included one lakh surgical masks, five lakh pairs of surgical gloves, 75 pieces of infusion pumps, 30 pieces of enteral feeding pumps, 21 pieces of defibrillator and 4,000 pieces of N-95 masks.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi had written to Chinese President Xi Jinping on February 8, 2020, in view of the coronavirus outbreak in China, conveying the solidarity of the Indian government and its people with the neighbouring nation and the readiness to provide assistance.
- These supplies were delivered by an Indian Air Force C-17 special flight which landed in Wuhan, China on February 26, 2020.
23837. Railways introduces first-ever 'Pod' retiring rooms for travellers; check out what they are
- Railways' ticketing, catering, and tourism arm IRCTC has introduced a new service by commissioning POD concept Retiring Rooms at Mumbai Central Railway Station in association with Urban Pod Pvt Ltd, Mumbai.
- It will have a Pod inventory of 48, comprising three categories, namely 30 Classic Pods, 7 Ladies only, 10 Private Pods and one for Differently Abled.
- A capsule hotel, also popularly known as a Pod hotel, was first developed in Japan, featuring small bed-sized rooms known as capsules. Pod hotels provide affordable, basic overnight accommodation for guests who do not require or who can't afford larger, more expensive rooms offered by the conventional hotels.
23838. India extends Covid assistance worth $ 1 million under SAARC emergency fund
- The supplies were coordinated by respective Indian Embassies under the guidance of Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla following consultations with local governments. For Maldives, India supplied 317 cartons weighing over 5.5 tonnes of essential medicines were supplied,
- A Rapid Response Team with testing equipment will be sent to Nepal. India has made medical supply to Bhutan consisting of Surgical Masks, Shoe covers Hand Disinfectant/ Hand Sanitizers, Digital Thermometers, Forehead sensor, Disposable Gloves, Disposable surgical caps, Surgical hoods, Gowns, Fumigation system, Glycerin (450 ml), Glutaraldehyde solution (5L), Coveralls, Safety goggles & medicines.
- With regard to Afghanistan medical supply consisting of surgical masks, gloves & sodium hydrochloride solution (disinfectant) is being provided. For Bangladesh and Sri Lanka India is extending supply consisting of surgical masks, shoe covers, hand disinfectant/ hand sanitizers, disposable gloves and disposable surgical caps.
23839. India shares measures with Indo-Pacific region states to combat Covid-19
- Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday participated in a telephonic conference call initiated by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun for discussions among some countries in the Indo-Pacific region on issues related to countering COVID-19.
- The teleconference included senior representatives from Australia, the Republic of Korea, Vietnam, New Zealand, and Japan.
- The participants are expected to continue the conference call on a weekly basis, covering issues like cooperation on vaccine development, challenges of stranded citizens, assistance to countries in need and mitigating the impact on the global economy, etc..
23840. India gifts a 10-tonne consignment of medicines to Sri Lanka
- India gifted a 10 tonne consignment of essential life saving medicines to Government of Sri Lanka, in view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
- India also pledged US$ 10 million to the SAARC COVID-19 Emergency Fund. Subsequently, a Video Conference of health professionals in SAARC countries was held on 26 March 2020.
- Ministry of Health of India has also started offering online training sessions for health professionals in SAARC countries.
