23841. PM Narendra Modi to hand over DRDO-designed electronic warfare system 'Shakti' to Indian Navy today
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally hand over Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) designed Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) system 'Shakti' for Naval ships to the Indian Navy at a ceremony in Jhansi
- Advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) System 'Shakti' has been designed and developed by Defence Electronics Research Laboratory (DLRL) Hyderabad a laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for Capital Warships of the Indian Navy for the interception, detection, classification, identification and jamming of conventional and modern Radars.
- The Shakti EW system will provide an electronic layer of defence against modern radars and anti-ship missiles to ensure electronic dominance and survivability in the maritime battlefield.

- KR Vijayan, the owner of 'Sree Balaji Coffee House' in Kerala's Kochi, who became an inspiration for many to pursue their travel dreams has passed away at the age of 71.
- Vijayan and his wife Mohana, known as Kerala's traveling couple had made headlines for their trips around the world, funded by the savings from their small tea stall in Gandhinagar. Vijayan and Mohana who had been married for more than 40 years had visited 26 countries together, with their last trip to Russia, in October.

23843. Materials used in experimental drugs against virus arrive in Israel from India
- A plane from India carrying materials used to make medicines for treating coronavirus patients has arrived in Israel.
- The five ton shipment, which the Ynet news site said arrived Tuesday, includes ingredients for the drugs hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, which are used to treat malaria.Several countries have been experimenting with hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus symptoms and US President Donald Trump has touted its potential.

- As India and Russia continue their strategic partnership in the all crucial defence sector, the latter has offered the former "new areas of work", including developing new armoured vehicles based on the T-14 Armata tank platform together.
- T-14 Armata is Russia's T-14 Armata main battle tank designed by Uralvagonzavod. It was first displayed in public during rehearsals for the 2015 Moscow Victory Day Parade.
- It is armed with a 125-mm new generation tank gun with a prospective ammunition load and a digital fire control system. Also, the T-14 is equipped with the most modern onboard complexes. The crew members' workplaces are equipped with video devices with touch-sensitive controls.

23845. Bajaj’s new EV production unit to start by June 2022 in India
- The whole R&D department of Bajaj will now be focused on developing future technologies for EVs. However, as Rajiv Bajaj’s statement mentions in the release, there’s one state-of-the-art ICE platform under development, which is certainly the result of the Bajaj-Triumph collaboration.
- The Chakan-based two-wheeler manufacturer is investing Rs 300 crore on this project. Spread over half a million square feet area, it will have an annual capacity to churn out as many as 500,000 electric vehicles per annum.

23846. This Indian firm to deliver 8,000 agro, mapping, and inspection drones to UAE, Malaysia, and Panama
- Indian drone firm Garuda Aerospace is working on fulfilling orders from foreign customers for 8,000 drones that serve purposes including agriculture (pesticide spraying), industrial inspection, and mapping.
- a single drone was able to map five villages (each measuring up to 3 sq km) in a day and that they had deployed a sizable fleet to map 1000 villages in a month. Their work involved not just aerial mapping, but also providing the final output of processed map data.
- While he does admit that delivery of all 8,000 drones by March 2022 is an aggressive target, he hopes to enable delivery of a significant portion of the order within the deadline.

23847. India's exports jump to $56.51 billion in October
- The country's overall imports in October are estimated to be $68.09 billion, a growth of 57.32% over the same period last year and 40.82$ over October 2019
- India’s overall exports jumped to $56.51 billion in October, exhibiting a positive growth of 35.16% over the same period last year and a positive growth of 29.13% over October 2019, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry said on Monday.
- India’s overall exports (merchandise and services combined) in April-October were estimated to be $369.39 billion, registering a positive growth of 39.83% over the same period last year and 19.97% over April-October 2019.

23848. इस इंजीनियर ने बनाई कम लागत वाली मशीन, जो बंजर ज़मीन को घंटों में बनाती है खेती के योग्य
- अधिकांश लोगों के लिए शिक्षा सिर्फ पैसा कमाने और आगे बढ़ने का जरिया है। लेकिन 25 साल के दीपक ऐसा नहीं सोचते। उनके अनुसार शिक्षा का फायदा तभी है, जब वह किसी जरूरतमंद के काम आ सके। अपनी इस सोच के चलते दीपक ने इंजीनियरिंग करने के बाद नौकरी की राह नहीं पकड़ी बल्कि किसानों के लिए एक ऐसी किफायती हार्वेस्टिंग मशीन बनाने में जुट गए, जिससे उनकी बंजर पड़ी सैंकड़ों एकड़ जमीन को खेती के योग्य बनाया जा सके।
- तेलंगाना के इंजीनियर दीपक रेड्डी ने एक ऐसी मल्टी हार्वेस्टिंग मशीन बनाई है, जो बंजर जमीन से पत्थरों और चट्टानों को खोदकर उन्हें बाहर निकाल फेंकती है। यह आलू, प्याज और अन्य जड़ों वाली सब्जियों की भी खुदाई कर सकती है।

- टिहरी गढ़वाल के मैड तल्ला गांव में रहनेवाले सुंदर लाल चमोली और उनकी पत्नी बिगुला चमोली पिछले 20 सालों से भी ज्यादा समय से पहाड़ों में जैविक तरीकों से खेती कर रहे हैं। यह दंपति आज अपने इलाके में बच्चों से लेकर बड़ों तक के लिए प्रेरणा बने हुए हैं। क्योंकि सुंदर लाल और बिगूला ने गांव में रहकर अपनी खेती करते हुए ही अपने परिवार को एक बेहतर जीवन दिया है। उन्होंने अपने बच्चों को अच्छी शिक्षा दी है।
- हम कृषि विभाग के सहयोग से अपनी खेती जैविक तरीकों से करते हैं। पुराने ढर्रे से हटकर हमने नए तरीके सीखे हैं और अलग-अलग फसल उगाकर अच्छी कमाई कर रहे हैं।

- आज हम आपको ओडिशा के एक ऐसे ही युवक की कहानी सुनाने जा रहे हैं, जो शरीर से तो दिव्यांग हैं, पर मन सुर हुनर में हम सबसे कई ज़्यादा सक्षम हैं। लॉकडाउन के दौरान उन्होंने अपने हुनर को तराशा और आज नारियल के खोल से एक से बढ़कर एक क्रॉफ्ट बनाकर बेच रहे हैं।
- ओडिशा के सब्यसाची पटेल पहले थर्माकॉल, फल-सब्जियों में नक्काशी का काम करते थे। वहीं लॉकडाउन में, उन्होंने नारियल के खोल से प्रोडक्ट्स बनाना शुरू किया, जिन्हें वह ऑनलाइन बेच रहे हैं। ओडिशा के बलांगीर जिला स्थित पुइंतला (Puintala) गांव के 29 वर्षीय सब्यसाची पटेल की है। सब्यसाची को बचपन से ही रीढ़ की हड्डी में दिक्क्त है, जिससे वह ज्यादा समय खड़े नहीं रह सकते हैं और न ठीक से चल पाते हैं।
- वह फेसबुक के जरिए ही अपने आर्ट-क्रॉफ्ट को बेच रहे हैं लेकिन इसके बावजूद उन्हें ऑर्डर मिल रहे हैं। उनकी कला को लोग पसंद कर रहे हैं। सब्यसाची को उम्मीद है कि आने वाले समय में जब उनकी बनाई चीजें अमेजन पर आएंगी तो उनका रोजगार बढ़ेगा और उनकी कमाई भी बढ़ेगी।
