1181. CM unveils ₹241-crore projects in Mauganj, pitches tourism and rural development
- On september 07, 2025, Madhya Pradesh CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth ₹241.33 crore in Mauganj, aiming to boost infrastructure, welfare, and tourism.
- The Bahuti Waterfall is set for enhancement under a Rs10 crore tourism project, and the Ashtbhuja Mata Temple will receive beautification works. An 11 km road linking Teepa Bador to Garhwa Road in the tribal region will also be constructed.
- Over 64,000 households have received LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, and 44,000 poor families in rural and urban Mauganj have been provided permanent housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
1182. AstraZeneca announces Rs 176 crore investments in India to expand Chennai GITC
- On September 8, 2025, It was reported, Swedish company AstraZeneca has announced fresh investments of Rs 176 crore in India, reinforcing its commitment to healthcare innovation and technology. The announcement was made during the Tamil Nadu government’s “TN Rising” campaign in London
- The investment will expand the Global Innovation and Technology Centre’s infrastructure and capabilities to strengthen its position as a leader in healthcare innovation both globally and in India.
- According to company It is the third investment by AstraZeneca after it announced investments of Rs 166 crore in June, 2025, towards the establishment of a state-of-the-art Global Hub in Bengaluru.
1183. India, Israel ink bilateral investment treaty, says finance ministry
- On September 8, 2025, the finance ministry India and Israel have inked a bilateral investment treaty (BIT) which would help promote investments between the two countries.
- During April 2000 and June 2025, India has received USD 337.77 million foreign direct investment (FDI) from Israel. Signing of the pact is important as both countries are also negotiating a free trade pact.
- Cumulative investment from India to Israel during 2000-2025 was USD 443 million and Israel's contribution to India's foreign direct investment (FDI) during April 2000 – March 2025 was USD 334.2 million

1184. NPCI approves Viyona Fintech as third party UPI app provider
- On September 8, 025, Viyona Fintech, one of India’s emerging digital payments platforms, has been granted approval by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to operate as a Third Party Application Provider (TPAP).
- The approval will enable the company to offer Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in collaboration with partner banks, further strengthening the country’s digital payments system.
- The flagship product, GRAAMPAY, is designed to support farmers, small merchants and local communities with digital collections, payouts and UPI transactions.

1185. AIIMS Raipur becomes first govt hospital in central India to get robotic surgery facility
- On September 07, 2025, the first robotic surgery system facility in a government health institution in central India was inaugurated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur,by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.
- The first dry lab dissection on the system, named 'Dev Hast', formally launching it. Robotic surgery is a new dimension in the development of healthcare facilities in Chhattisgarh.

1186. EU ban impact: India’s diesel exports to Europe skyrocket; 137% surge in August shipm
- On September 7,, 2025, India's diesel shipments to Europe jumped 137% year-on-year, reaching 242,000 barrels per day (bpd) in August 2025, as customers prepared for the European Union's upcoming restrictions starting January 2026 on fuels processed from Russian crude.
- Vortexa, another energy shipment monitoring firm, reported Indian diesel exports to Europe in August at 228,316 bpd, showing a 166% increase year-on-year and 36% growth from July. Different shipping data monitors often provide varying export figures.
- India's diesel exports witnessed a significant increase, reaching 603,000 bpd in August, showing an approximate 17% rise compared to both July and the previous year's figures, as reported by Kpler, primarily due to increased European shipments.

1187. DRDO organises conclave for capacity building of MSMEs for development of UP Defence Industrial Corridor
- On September 07, 2025, DRDO's Defence Technology and Test Centre (DTTC), Lucknow, conducted a conclave at Amausi Campus to apprise and collaborate with MSMEs and start-ups for Defence R&D and production to further develop the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, according to a release by the Ministry of Defence.
- More than 100 participants from various MSMEs, Start-Ups, and Laghu Udhyog Bharti deliberated on aspects of Skill Development, Funding for R&D, Technical Consultancy, and technology development and transfer by DRDO.

- On September 6, 2025, during the TN Rising London campaign held as part of CM of Tamil Nadu UK visit, AstraZeneca announced a ₹176 crore investment in Chennai to expand its Global Innovation & Technology Centre (GITC).
- AstraZeneca India MD Siva Padmanabhan said the expansion will boost AI, ML, and data-driven healthcare. CM Stalin welcomed the investment, calling it a testament to Tamil Nadu’s global innovation excellence and appeal for forward-looking industries.
- The GITC expansion will accelerate next-gen medicine delivery, create skilled jobs, and support digital healthcare ecosystems. AstraZeneca employs 5,000+ people in India, focusing on oncology, cardiovascular, respiratory, and rare diseases, while Chennai grows as a global innovation hub.
1189. Meghalaya signs MoU with Japan’s Asean One to create overseas career pathways for youth
- On September 5, 2025, Meghalaya CM signed an MoU in Tokyo with Japan’s Asean One Co. Ltd. through MSSDS, to train and place youth in global careers across healthcare, hospitality, IT, and allied sectors, starting with 500 candidates.
- Chief Minister initiated talks during his April 2025 Japan visit, leading to the MoU. Labour Minister Shakliar Warjri said the programme, including Japanese language and cultural training, aims to ensure long-term employability and deepen Meghalaya–Japan ties.
- The initiative will scale to 5,000 placements in five years. Asean One CEO Toshiaki Nishikawa, aligned with India’s Global Skill Hub vision, met PM Modi at the Aug 2025 India–Japan Summit, highlighting the synergy in workforce mobility collaboration.

1190. India’s first telecom system with indigenous chips gets TEC certification
- On 6 September 2025, According to IT Minister India achieved a milestone as a telecom system powered by domestically manufactured chips received TEC certification from the Department of Telecommunications, confirming quality and performance standards under the ‘Make in India’ semiconductor initiative.
- IT Minister hailed the TEC approval as a “big leap” for India’s semiconductor journey. Analysts noted India’s focus on 28nm–65nm mature-node manufacturing for telecom, automotive, and industrial electronics, showing capability to meet global standards through innovation and talent.
