1541. India develops personnel sphere, completes welding on submersible after 700 trials
- In a landmark achievement for India’s Deep Ocean Mission, Isro has successfully developed the personnel sphere for the submersible vessel MATSYA-6000, designed to carry humans up to 6,000 metres (6km) below the ocean surface, by completing a critical welding process after 700 weld trials, said ISRO On 23 July, 2025.
- ‘Samudrayaan', a project under the Deep Ocean Mission of the ministry of earth sciences (MoES), aims to strengthen India’s capabilities in deep-sea exploration.
- The milestone marks a significant leap for India’s underwater exploration ambitions and brings Matsya-6000 closer to sea trials. Once complete, the vehicle will be among the very few human submersibles in the world capable of reaching such depths, opening new frontiers for deep sea science, resource exploration and technology development.
1542. BEML gains after securing Rs 294-cr defence order

1546. India’s pharma exports rise 9.3% to $30.5 billion in FY25; complex generics and global expansion drive growth
- On 23 July 2025, It was reported that, India's pharmaceutical exports reached US$30.5 billion in FY2025, marking a 9.3% increase from the FY2024, according to a new report by Rubix Data Sciences, a leading provider of risk management and monitoring solutions. The report projects that the country’s pharma exports could double to US$65 billion by 2030.
- According to Rubix, Indian pharma companies are responding by investing in US-focused manufacturing capabilities, enhancing regulatory compliance, and developing complex generics targeted at upcoming patent expiries.With a series of high-value global drug patents set to expire over the next five years, Indian players are positioning themselves to fill the resulting supply gaps.

1547. Eighth, last anti-submarine warfare ship launched for Indian Navy
- On July 21, 2025. Kolkata-based defence shipyard GRSE Ltd. launched Ajay, the eighth and final Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft for the Indian Navy.
- GRSE stated that the ships are designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines in coastal waters and can carry out joint anti-submarine operations with aircraft.
- Vice Admiral Kiran Deshmukh, AVSM, VSM, Chief of Materiel, Indian Navy, who was the chief guest at the launch, said, “I am glad to note that in addition to ASW shallow water craft, the shipyard is constructing P-17 Alpha, a large survey vessel (Large), a Next-Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel, as well as the list of large number of special projects that GRSE is steering.”

1549. India extends medical support to burn victims in Bangladesh air crash
- India has dispatched a team of burn-specialist doctors and nurses to Dhaka to treat those injured in the military jet crash in Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said On 22 July, 2025.
- The medical team will assess the condition of the injured and provide critical care to burn victims. Based on their evaluation, recommendations will be made for further treatment, including the possibility of transferring patients to India for specialised care, according to the MEA.
- The foreign ministry added that additional medical experts may also be deployed depending on the team’s preliminary assessment and treatment requirements.
1550. Agni-4 Missile Successfully Tested from Odisha
- On 06 September 2024, Bharat successfully conducted a test launch of the Agni-4 missile from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. This test was carried out by the Strategic Forces Command and confirmed that the missile met all technical and operational standards.
- Agni-4 is a nuclear-capable missile developed by DRDO. It has two stages and can strike targets as far as 4,000 kilometers. The missile is designed to carry a 1-tonne warhead, making it a powerful part of India’s defense system.
