1523. India's first hydrogen-powered train coach successfully tested at ICF Chennai:
- On July 25, 2025, Union Railway Minister announced that Indian Railways has successfully tested India's first hydrogen-powered coach at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, marking a major step toward clean and green railway technology.

1525. Ahmedabad techie builds automated grenade detonation drone, Army orders 20 units

- Drone Gati weighs 2.5 kg, flies up to 7.5 km at 500 meters altitude and automatically removes the grenade’s pin and lever midair for precise detonation. The drone then safely returns to post-strike.

1527. Boost for Make in India: Bharat Dynamics wins Rs 809 crore missile contract from Armoured Vehicles Nigam
- On 24 July,2025 Hyderabad-based defence PSU Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) announced that it has received a ₹809 crore order from Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL) for supplying anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs). The order is to be fulfilled over a three-year period and boosts India's indigenous defence capability.

1529. BEL bags order worth Rs 1640 cr from Indian Army
- On July 25, 2025, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) received Rs 1,640 crore order from the Ministry of Defence, to supply Air Defence Fire Control Radars to the Indian Army.
- The radars are indigenously designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL. The system is modular, equipped with Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) capabilities and easy to deploy, operate and maintain.
- Air Defence Fire Control radars will enhance the Indian Army’s air defence capabilities by enabling all weather, day-night surveillance, tracking of air targets and effective control of air defence guns.
1530. DRDO test-fires drone-launched missile
- On July 25, 2025, DRDO successfully test fired the UAV-Launched Precision Guided Missile (ULPGM) V3, also known as ULM-ER, at the National Open Area Range (NOAR) in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
- The flight trials took place in July 2025 and were announced by Defence Minister. The missile was designed and developed by DRDO in collaboration with MSMEs, start-ups, DcPPs, and manufactured by Adani and Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL).
- The ULPGM-V3 is a 12.5 kg fire and forget missile with imaging infrared (IR) seeker, dual thrust propulsion and two way datalink. It has a range of up to 4 km (day) and 2.5 km (night).
