22591. मणिपुर: 12वीं पास युवक ने बनाया बांस का मोबाइल ट्राईपॉड, मिला अवॉर्ड
- 1. इम्फाल के एक कस्बे के रहने वाले कोंसम रोमेश सिंह ने बांस का मोबाइल ट्राईपॉड बनाकर सबको हैरान कर दिया। जी हाँ, मोबाइल ट्राईपॉड- यूट्यूब और अलग-अलग वीडियो एप पर वीडियो ब्लॉगिंग करने वाले लोगों के लिए ज़रूरी चीज़।
- 2. 12वीं कक्षा तक पढ़े रोमेश को बांस का क्राफ्ट करने का शौक है और वह बांस से तरह -तरह की खूबसूरत चीजें बनाते रहते हैं। साथ ही, वह अपने क्राफ्ट की वीडियो अपने यूट्यूब चैनल पर अपलोड करते हैं। उन्हें अपनी वीडियो आदि बनाने के लिए ही एक ट्राईपॉड की ज़रूरत थी। लेकिन जब वह ऑनलाइन ऑर्डर करने लगे तो उस दौरान लॉकडाउन था, सभी जगह डिलीवरी बंद थी।
- 3. बांस का यह ट्राईपॉड प्लास्टिक और मेटल के ट्राईपॉड का इको-फ्रेंडली विकल्प है। रोमेश अलग-अलग हाइट के ट्राईपॉड लोगों के लिए बना रहे हैं। वह बताते हैं कि बांस के क्राफ्ट का काम बहुत ही मेहनत वाला है। सबसे पहले आपको सही क्वालिटी का बांस चुनना पड़ता है और फिर इसे ट्रीट करके क्राफ्ट आइटम बनाए जाते हैं। रोमेश पिछले 3 साल से बांस से क्राफ्ट बनाने का काम कर रहे हैं।
22592. Foundation laid for Meghalaya to become top 10 state in next decade: Conrad Sangma
- 1) Government has laid the foundation for the state to become one of the top 10 states in the country in the next 10 years.
- 2) Unfurling the Tricolour on the occassion of the 73rd Republic Day at the Polo ground here, he said the state with 3.8 million people need to grow together with the rest of the NE states and present to the world one North East market like the European Union.
- 3) CM Sangma said the state has mobilised Rs 7,500 crore from external agencies, a big jump from Rs 2,500 crore in 2018.

22593. The Leh airport’s journey towards carbon neutrality
- 1) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on multiple occassions, has reiterated that the union territory of Ladakh would be developed as a climate neutral region.
- 2) The Leh airport in Ladakh is being built as a carbon-neutral airport, though environmentalists such as Sonam Wangchuk have pointed modifications in the design to harness the potential of Leh’s climate and make it truly carbon neutral.

22594. 60,000 JK youth to get training, placement under GoI scheme: Admin
- 1) Chief Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, Arun Kumar Mehta has directed the Rural Development department to ensure training and placement of 60,000 unemployed youth under HIMAYAT during the next fiscal year.
- 2) The programme aims to train youth with placement assurance of trained youth. The Programme is 100 percent funded by the Government of India.
- 3) The Chief Secretary said as the Scheme will close on March 31, 2023, the department should target short-term skill-based courses spanning 3- 9 months.
- 4) Around 19,000 youth have been trained while around 4,000 youth have been given job placements up until now since the inception of the Scheme.
22595. Katra Town to get infrastructure development impetus under PRASHAD Scheme
- 1) The holy Town of Katra situated on the foothills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine will see massive infrastructure development in near future as the modalities are being finalized for taking up the preliminary works on the projects proposed under flagship Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) at a cost of Rs 50 crores.
- 2) Union Ministry of Tourism under its flagship schemes of Swadesh Darshan and National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD) is laying due emphasis on development of tourism infrastructure and facilities in renowned pilgrimages and tourism destinations.
- 3) Numerous works have been identified for providing better facilities to pilgrims, tourists and locals under pilgrim infrastructure development. The projects proposed are development of multilevel parking, Multipurpose Tourist Facilitation Centre, Development of Fountain chowk, Re development of roads, Amphitheater, water points, public convenience (public toilets) etc.
22596. Rs 70,000-Crore Investment Proposals Achieved Within A Year: J-K LG
- 1) Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said a target of investment proposals worth Rs 70,000 crore has been achieved within a year after 2019 "historic transformative" changes.
- 2) The industrial revolution started just a year ago has achieved much more than what the Union Territory had clocked in the last 72 years. After the implementation of the new industrial scheme, investment proposals worth Rs 48,000 crores have been received.
- 3) The Lt Governor assured the "land owners and farmers that all these changes have been effected with the sole aim of empowering them. There is a section in the society which has always been misleading the people about imaginary issues like demographic change, and on this pretext the most hardworking and needy class of people had been deprived of alienated their own land, or even using it as per their wishes or requirements.
22597. Assam may use Meghalaya formula to resolve border disputes with other states
- A day after meeting Chief Minister Sarma, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said in Kohima that his government was in favor of out-of-court settlement of the six-decade-old border dispute with Assam
- Government of Assam (Assam Government) border disputes with its three other neighboring states (border disputes, can use the same land swap formula agreed with Meghalaya to resolve the issue. Earlier this month, the Chief Ministers of Assam and Meghalaya met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
- Both the Chief Ministers apprised the Home Minister about the recommendations of the regional committees of both the states, in which 6 out of 12 disputed border areas were suggested to be divided between them with the help of land swap formula.

22598. Northeast Frontier Railway Launches Leased Cargo Train From Assam
- The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) as part of its Business Development Unit (BDU) initiatives from Saturday started operation of leased Parcel Cargo Express Train (PCET) from Assam to Goa.
- Goods like ready-made garments, tea, bamboo products and other handicrafts, spices, edible oil will be carried by parcel cargo express train
- More goods trains carrying other items including essential commodities will be arriving soon, providing a boost to the local economy.

22600. Centre approves construction of 500 kms road in UT of Ladakh
- n a major boost to rural infrastructure development in the Union Territory of Ladakh, the Central Government has given nod to construction of 500-kilometre rural road network there, sanctioned under the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
- “Minister of Rural Development Giriraj Singh reviewed status and progress of PMGSY of Ladakh. 195 km of roads constructed in Ladakh in two years under PMGSY I/II and another 500 km sanctioned under PMGSY-III,” a tweet by the administration of Union Territory of Ladakh today said.
- “PMGSY roads not only connecting the rural areas but also promotion green technologies like use of plastic waste in road constructions. This will help in achieving the target of carbon neutral Ladakh.
