22581. 'Coach To Restaurant': Indian Railways Converts Old Train Coach Into Restaurant At Jabalpur Station
- Indian Railways is going all creative to develop an additional source of revenue. To this end, the organisation is coming up with rail restaurants. One such unique restaurant inside a refurbished coach is coming shortly in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
- In addition to Jabalpur, six other stations under West Central Railway (WCR), will also have these concept restaurants.
- The first such initiative was taken by Eastern Railways in 2020, When it had set up a restaurant in an old railway coach at Asansol station in West Bengal,

22582. Exports of marine products jump 35% to $6.1 bn during Apr-Dec 2021
- Exports of marine products jumped 35 per cent to $6.1 billion during April-December 2021 as compared with $4.5 billion in the same period of the previous year, the commerce ministry said
- The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), launched in May 2020, has set a target of Rs 1 lakh crore fisheries export, additional 70 lakh tonnes fish production, and generation of 55 lakh employment in the years to come.
- Malaysia imported jaggery worth of $5.09 million and Nepal imported wafers worth of $3.5 million in 2020-21," the ministry said.Further, the major exporting destinations for RTC export in 2020-21 are the US ($18.62 million), Malaysia ($11.52 million), the UAE ($8.75 million), Indonesia ($7.52 million), and the UK ($7.33 million).

22583. Foxconn aims to manufacture Fisker's electric vehicles in India by 2024
- In the next few years, Foxconn, the Taiwanese company that makes Apple's iPhone in India, plans to start producing electric vehicles in the nation for Fisker Inc.
- Fisker Inc, led by Henrik Fisker, the renowned designer of models such as the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin DB9, will first establish a technology centre in Hyderabad, with a staff of over 300 engineers, and then, in partnership with Foxconn, produce the electric 'global vehicle' Pear in India within two years.
- Fisker Inc's first model SUV, is planned for a global introduction in November and will be imported as a CBU in India.
22584. MeitY announces AI Solution Challenge to showcase innovations of Indian tech startups
- 1. Artificial intelligence (AI) driven technology startups in India can now showcase their innovative solutions in various fields such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and more, through a new challenge initiated by the government. In order to promote and showcase such innovative AI solutions developed by entrepreneurs, an AI Solution Challenge is being organised for Indian startups in the field of Artificial Intelligence by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
- 2. This AI challenge will be open for those startups who provide innovative solutions in the areas of healthcare, education, agriculture, natural language processing, and smart mobility and transportation, among others.
- 3. The need for such a challenge has arisen as digital transformation has accelerated manifold in the last few months as COVID-19 has brought to the fore the importance of technologies including AI in addressing the healthcare crisis, restarting supply chains, enabling online education, and almost every aspect of the economy.
22585. Export of Indian 'Ready to Eat' food products registered a 26% growth
- Export of the Indian ‘Ready to Eat’ (RTE) food products industry has registered an increase of 26 % in 2020-21 while the Biscuits and confectionery category recorded 28.87 % growth, claimed the Ministry of Commerce and Industry
- In 2018-2019, the export of Indian RTE was at USD 766 million, which rose to USD 825 million in 2019-20 and USD 1043 million in 2020-21. Similarly, the export of RTC food products also increased from USD 473 million in 2018-19 to USD 368 million in 2019-20 and USD 560 million in 2020-21
- The share of each category in RTE export is 52.32% (Biscuits & Confectionery), 1.52% (Jaggery), 4.11% (breakfast cereals), 1.73% (wafers), 37.04% (Indian sweets and snacks), and 3.28% (Pan Masala and Betal nuts),

- 1. एक इनोवेशन चंडीगढ़ की अंशु शर्मा ने किया है। इन्होनें आवाज पर काम करने वाला हैण्ड सैनीटाइजर विकसित किया है। जैसे ही आप कहेंगे ‘फतेह’, बस इसमें से स्प्रे हो जाएगा, सैनीटाइजर।

"इस डिवाइस में मैने फतेह शब्द डाला है। फतेह बोलते ही यह ऑन हो जाता है। हम इसमें कोई भी शब्द डाल सकते हैं। सात तरह के विभिन्न शब्द प्रयोग किए जा सकते हैं। इस सैनीटाइजर में अलग-अलग आवाजों को रिकार्ड कर उस पर काम करने की क्षमता है। साथ ही, इस मशीन में अपने हिसाब से आवाज को बदला और डिलीट किया जा सकता है।"

22587. केरल: अकाउंटेंट ने बनाया सस्ता इरिगेशन सिस्टम, एक बार में 10 पौधों को मिलता है पानी
- 1. जब बगीचे या खेत को मेंटेन रखने की बात आती है तो सबसे पहले खेतों में पानी डालने की व्यवस्था करना सबसे जरूरी होता है। इसके बिना बागवानी या खेती संभव नहीं है।

- 2. पूर्वी तटीय रेलवे के खुर्दा रोड डिवीज़न ने एक खास रेल साइकिल बनाई है, जिसे रेलवे ट्रैक्स पर चलाया जा सकता है। इस रेल साइकिल की मदद से एक व्यक्ति भी बहुत ही आसानी से रेलवे ट्रैक्स की देख-रेख के लिए कहीं भी आ-जा सकता है।
- 3. डिवीज़न के प्रवक्ता कौशलेन्द्र किशोर ने बताया कि इस रेल साइकिल का निर्माण खास तौर पर रेलवे ट्रैक्स को ध्यान में रखकर किया गया है। इससे यात्रा करना आसान है और इमरजेंसी स्थिति में जल्दी से पहुंचा भी जा सकता है।

- 1. Reverse Osmosis (RO) water systems make water safe to drink. But, many do not opt for this solution as the filtration system can remove vital minerals from the water, cause excessive wastage of water during the filtration process, and consume too much electricity.
- 2. MV Ramachandrudu, a 54-year-old resident of Hyderabad, is one such person who does not depend on technology for drinking water.
- 3. The three-pot filtration system has two pots filled with sand, gravel, and charcoal to purify the water. Ram says the mixture of sand and gravel helps fight against pathogens or harmful bacteria present in impure water. The charcoal in the pot helps to remove any bad odour from the water.

- 1. बेंगलुरु में ‘बिल्डिंग रिसोर्स हब’ के नाम से अपनी आर्किटेक्चरल फर्म चलाने वाले आशीष भुवन मूल रूप से ओडिशा से हैं। उन्होंने नेशनल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नोलॉजी, त्रिची से अपनी आर्किटेक्चर की डिग्री पूरी की। इसके बाद, उन्हें कई अच्छे प्रोजेक्ट्स पर काम करने का मौका मिला। वह बताते हैं कि उन्होंने अलग-अलग फर्म के साथ काम किया और एक प्रोजेक्ट के दौरान, उन्हें सस्टेनेबल डिज़ाइन और ग्रीन बिल्डिंग कॉन्सेप्ट पर काम करने का मौका मिला।
- 2. “मैं चाहता था कि जो लोकल मिस्त्री होते हैं, उन्हें प्रकृति के अनुकूल घर बनाने की समझ आए। लोग इस पर काम करें क्योंकि ज़्यादातर लोगों के घर ये स्थानीय मिस्त्री बनाते हैं। हर कोई किसी आर्किटेक्चरल फर्म के पास अपना घर बनवाने नहीं आता है। इसलिए अगर इन्हें सिखाया जाए तो कोई बात बनें,” उन्होंने आगे बताया।
- 3. साल 2018 में उन्होंने अपनी फर्म, बिल्डिंग रिसोर्स हब की शुरुआत की। इसके ज़रिए उनके दो उद्देश्य रहे, एक तो सस्टेनेबल घरों का निर्माण और दूसरा, स्थानीय लोगों को सिखाना। उनके काम में अलग-अलग लोग उनका साथ दे रहे हैं जैसे उनकी साथी आर्किटेक्ट श्रुति मोराबाद। श्रुति कहती हैं कि वह आशीष के साथ पिछले 4 सालों से जुड़ी हुई हैं। इससे पहले वह बेंगलुरु की ही एक दूसरी आर्किटेक्चर फर्म में काम कर रही थी।
- 4. आशीष और श्रुति अपने क्लाइंट्स की ज़रूरत को समझते हैं और साथ ही, जहाँ निर्माण करना है, वहाँ के तापमान, जलवायु आदि को ध्यान में रखकर आगे बढ़ते हैं। वह क्लाइंट की ज़रूरत के हिसाब से एक डिज़ाइन तैयार करते हैं लेकिन जैसे-जैसे काम बढ़ता है तो वह साधनों की उपलब्धता के आधार पर भी डिज़ाइन में थोड़ी फेर-बदल करते हैं। अलग-अलग प्रोजेक्ट्स के लिए वह अलग-अलग तकनीक इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
