- चीन का विरोध होने के बाद भारत अमेरिकी कंपनियों की पहली पसंद बन गया है। व्हाइट वेस्टिंगहाउस ने भारतीय बाजार में वॉशिंग मशीन की लॉन्चिंग के साथ एंट्री की है। इसके लिए कंपनी ने भारतीय मैन्युफैक्चरिंग फर्म सुपरप्लास्ट्रोनिक्स प्राइवेट लिमिटेड (एसपीपीएल) के साथ साझेदारी की है जो 300 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश कर रहा है।
- एसपीपीएल इस लॉन्च के साथ अपने ऑपरेशन को आगे विस्तार देगा। इसके लिए नोएडा में 300,000 वर्ग फुट में फैली एक नई मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट स्थापित करने की योजना है।
- व्हाइट वेस्टिंगहाउस 100 साल पुरानी कंपनी है। वर्तमान में ट्रेडमार्क ओनर वेस्टिंगहाउस इलेक्ट्रिक कॉरपोरेशन द्वारा लाइसेंस के तहत उपयोग की जाती है।

- Kodak TV India on Tuesday said it will invest over ₹500 crore in the next three years to set up a fully-automated television manufacturing plant in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL), the brand licensee in India for Kodak TV, said the first phase of the plant would be operational by the end of 2021.
- The manufacturing plant will be used to develop and test Android TV products within India and reduce dependency on imports from other countries, SPPL said in a statement.
- With this new plant we will generate more than 2000 jobs, the local value addition in TV manufacturing will go up to 50-60%" SSPL founder and CEO Avneet Singh Marwah said.

- Serum Institute of India (SII) said it has entered into a new partnership with international vaccine alliance Gavi and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to accelerate manufacturing and delivery of up to 100 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines for India as well as other low and middle-income countries (LMICs).
- The funding will support at-risk manufacturing by SII for candidate vaccines from AstraZeneca and Novavax, which will be available for procurement if they are successful in attaining full licensure and WHO pre-qualification, the statement said.
- The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, via its Strategic Investment Fund, will provide at-risk funding of $150 million to Gavi, which will be used to support the SII to manufacture the potential vaccine candidates and for future procurement of vaccines for low- and middle-income countries via Gavi's COVAX Advance Market Commitment (AMC), the statement said.

- PepsiCo India has decided to increase its investment from Rs 500 crore to Rs 800 crore in Uttar Pradesh. This would provide direct and indirect employment to over 1500 people in the state.

- NYSE-listed data centre company Equinix has acquired the India operations of GPX Global Systems for $161 million (1,200 crore) in cash. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.
- The acquisition will help extend Equinix’s presence to India with two data-centre campuses in Mumbai.
- Equinix will get access to customers such as Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud and Amazon Direct Connect and another over 200 international and local companies
