- 1. Bengaluru: Internet-of-Things based startup, Kazam has raised ₹7 crore as part of its seed round of funding led by Inflection Point Ventures,
- 2. According to the company, the funds raised will be used for product development, ramping up sales, operations and marketing.

- Apple Inc. assembly partner Pegatron Corp. is making preparations for its first plant in India, adding to a large influx of foreign tech investments in the country this year. In June, the Indian government set out a $6.6 billion plan to woo the world’s top smartphone manufacturers, offering financial incentives and ready-to-use manufacturing clusters.
- Pegatron is now setting up a local subsidiary and joining fellow Taiwanese electronics assemblers Foxconn Technology Group and Wistron Corp., who have already been making some iPhone handsets in southern India.
- With a number of factories in China, Pegatron is the second-largest iPhone assembler and depends on Apple for more than half of its business

- 1. Mohammad Jawaad Khan is a 23 year old young entrepreneur from Jammu’s Bhaderwah town. Jawaad has a New Delhi-based startup, Tadpole Projects which is aimed at converting vehicles with conventional Internal Combustion Engine into electric vehicles.
- 2. Jawaad started this in September 2020 and it closely in association with Centre of Excellence for Research on Clean Air (CERCA) at IIT-Delhi.
- 3. Tadpole Projects has already converted couple of vintage cars like a 1948 Volkswagen Beetle and a 1936 Austin 10 into electric vehicles.

- Flipkart said its wholesale unit will acquire parent Walmart’s loss-ridden cash-and-carry business in India, Best Price, marking a consolidation of the American major’s entire retail portfolio in the country.
- The deal, announced on Thursday, clears the decks for Flipkart to expand its business-to-business vertical and take the fight to rivals Amazon and Reliance JioMart in the race to woo the legions of small retailers across the country.
- Bengaluru-headquartered Flipkart-- which was acquired by Walmart for $ 16 billion in 2018-- will launch its wholesale unit next month with categories like fashion and grocery.
