21521. From zero to million downloads: How Kaagaz Scanner became an overnight success after Chinese apps ban

- The 15-day-old scanning app Kaagaz Scanner had garnered a million downloads soon after the ban on 59 Chinese apps, including CamScanner which allows devices to be used as document or image scanners.
- Ordenado Labs was started in 2019 by Snehanshu Gandhi, Gaurav Shrishrimal, and Tamanjit Bindra.
- The founders finally had their moment as their efforts were also acknowledged by the Government of India as part of the AatmaNirbhar Bharat App Challenge, where the app was given a special mention in the office apps category.

- “मैं अपने विदेशी दोस्त को गंगा किनारे घुमाने ले गया। वहाँ नदी फूलों के कचरे की वजह से दूषित थी। दोस्त ने सवाल किया, आप कुछ करते क्यों नहीं? इसके बाद से ही मैं इस विषय पर सोचने लगा और इस फूलों के कचरे के इस्तेमाल का एक स्टार्ट अप शुरू किया।” – अंकित अग्रवाल
- अंकित कहते हैं, “जब मैंने 14 लाख की नौकरी छोड़कर अपना स्टार्टअप शुरू करने का फैसला किया तो लोग तरह-तरह की बातें करने लगे। शुरू में परिवार के लोग भी इसे एक अच्छा निर्णय नहीं मान रहे थे। लेकिन मैंने किसी की नहीं सुनी। केवल अपने दिल की मानी। इसके बाद अपने दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर काम शुरू कर दिया। फैसला सही साबित हुआ। आज के वक्त सभी इस फैसले की मिसाल देते हैं। कई जगह स्टार्टअप की कामयाबी की कहानी सुनाने के लिए आमंत्रित भी किया जाता है। मैं सभी से यही कहता हूँ कि दूसरों से पहले आप खुद पर भरोसा करना सीखें।”
- अंकित ने अपने स्टार्टअप में महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता दी है। इस वक्त उन्होंने सवा सौ महिलाओं को रोजगार दिया हुआ है। इसके अतिरिक्त आवश्यकता के आधार पर भी वह लोगों को रोजगार मुहैया कराते हैं। महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता देने की वजह पर अंकित कहते हैं, “महिलाएँ अपेक्षाकृत अपने कार्य में अधिक ईमानदार होती हैं। वह अधिक लगन से कार्य करती हैं। इसके अलावा वह घर-परिवार की धुरी होती हैं। उनके हाथ में पैसा आने से पूरे परिवार को फायदा होता है। वह अपनी इस कवायद को पुख्ता तरीके से आगे बढ़ाने का इरादा रखते हैं।”

- चौधरी चरण सिंह हरियाणा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय के कृषि वैज्ञानिकों ने इस वर्ष मूंग की नई रोग प्रतिरोधी किस्म एमएच 1142 को विकसित की है।
- मूंग की इस किस्म को विश्वविद्यालय के आनुवंशिकी एवं पौध प्रजनन विभाग के दलहन अनुभाग ने विकसित किया है।
- इस किस्म को भारत सरकार के कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय के कृषि एवं सहयोग विभाग की 'फसल मानक, अधिसूचना एवं अनुमोदन केंद्रीय उप-समिति' द्वारा नई दिल्ली में आयोजित 84वीं बैठक में अधिसूचित व जारी कर दिया गया है।

- बिहार के पश्चिमी चंपारण जिले के अबुलेस अंसारी पिछले पांच साल से जम्मू-कश्मीर के अनंतनाग में बैट बनाने की फैक्ट्री में कारीगर थे। फरवरी में घर लौटे। मार्च के अंत में वापस कश्मीर जाना था। लॉकडाउन लगा तो वो यहीं फंस गए
- अब अबुलेस के पास खरीदार आने लगे। अबुलेस ने बिना संसाधन ये बैट बनाए और इन्हें 800 रुपए के रेट से बेच दिए। ऑर्डर आने पर उन्होंने अपने गांव के साथियों की मदद ली जो उनके साथ कश्मीर में बैट बनाने का ही काम करते थे।
- जिले के डीएम कुंदन कुमार ने इन हुनरमंदों को मदद का भरोसा दिया। और यहीं से इन कारीगरों के बिजनेसमैन बनने की कहानी शुरू हुई।

- डॉ. राजेंद्र भरुद बताते हैं, “महाराष्ट्र के आदिवासी इलाके में पाए जाने वाले महुआ के फूलों से वह पारंपरिक शराब बनाती थी। घर पर ही एक्सट्रैक्शन, फर्मेंटेशन और डिस्टिलेशन का काम होता था। इसे अवैध नहीं माना जाता था क्योंकि उस क्षेत्र में यह बहुत आम बात है। ब्लॉक के लोग वाइन और चखना (स्नैक्स) लेने के लिए हमारी झोपड़ी में आते थे।
- ग्राहकों को खुश रखना माई की जिम्मेदारी थी। इसलिए अगर मैं रोया करता तो माई मुझे एक चम्मच शराब पिलाकर सुला देती थी।”
