- On April 6, 2022, Saddal village in Panchari tehsil, Udhampur, received electricity for the first time in 75 years under the Untied Grants Scheme, ending a long era of dependence on candles and oil lamps.
- The Power Development Department electrified the village by installing a 25 KVA transformer, following directions from the central government and district administration, providing reliable power to nearly 25 households.
- The project cost ₹10.28 lakh and marked a historic achievement for the district’s power sector. Students celebrated improved study conditions, and elderly residents called it a long-awaited transformation for their community.

- On January 9, 2023 Residents of Tethan village in Dooru block, Anantnag, received electricity for the first time in 75 years under a centrally sponsored development scheme, bringing power to this remote tribal settlement of about 200 people.
- The district administration and Power Development Department completed fast-track electrification by installing a 63-KV transformer, HT line tapping, and full networking efforts initiated in 2022 to deliver electricity to the hilltop village.
- A 63-KV transformer, 38 HT lines, and 57 LT poles—total 95 poles—now supply electricity to 60 houses. Residents celebrated the historic moment, marking the end of decades of reliance on wood and lamps.

- On December 30, 2023, the Prime Minister virtually flagged off the second Vande Bharat train between Katra and New Delhi, further enhancing Jammu & Kashmir’s rail connectivity and marking a major milestone for the region.
- The Prime Minister conducted the virtual launch, while officials announced that the under-construction 111-km Katra–Banihal USBRL section will be completed within four months, enabling a full Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari railway link.
- Upgrades worth ₹6,003 crore for major stations, rising Vaishno Devi pilgrim footfall, introduction of Vistadome coaches, and surveys for new railway lines indicate rapid infrastructure expansion and improved travel facilities across Jammu & Kashmir.

- On January 03, 2024, Kundiyan and Patroo villages in the Keran sector of Kupwara district were electrified for the first time in 75 years through two newly installed 250-KV substations under the Samridh Seema Yojna.
- The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir inaugurated the substations, while KPDCL completed the electrification project in just two months, providing long-awaited grid connectivity to these previously isolated LoC villages.
- Two 250-KV substations brought power to the villages, ending a 75-year wait. Residents celebrated the illumination of their homes, expressing gratitude for improved infrastructure and the successful execution of the project.

- On February 20, 2024, the Prime Minister inaugurated the world’s highest single-arch Chenab bridge between Bakkal and Kauri in Reasi district, completing a crucial Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link segment after decades of construction.
- The Prime Minister opened the bridge after it passed tests for high winds, extreme temperatures, earthquakes, and hydrological impacts. Engineers built the arch over three years using massive cable cranes on both riverbanks.
- The bridge stands 1,178 feet high—35 metres taller than the Eiffel Tower—costing ₹14,000 crore within the ₹35,000-crore USBRL project. It withstands 260 km/h winds, has a 120-year lifespan, and will support tourism, defence movement, and future Vande Bharat Metro operations.

- On February 20, 2024, the Prime Minister inaugurated AIIMS Jammu, a 226.84-acre medical institute located along NH-44 in Vijaypur, Samba district, providing specialised healthcare and reducing the need for patients to travel to Delhi.
- The Prime Minister opened the institute and highlighted how new AIIMS, medical colleges, expanded MBBS and PG seats, and upcoming nursing colleges aim to strengthen Jammu & Kashmir’s healthcare capacity and improve regional medical access.
- AIIMS Jammu was built under PMSSY; medical colleges increased from 4 to 12, MBBS seats from 500 to 1300, and PG seats from 0 to 650. Thirty-five nursing and paramedic colleges are also being established to boost healthcare training.

- On February 20, 2024, the country’s longest 12.77-km T-50 tunnel and the 48.1-km Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan section were opened, enabling electrified train operations between Baramulla and Sangaldan in the Kashmir valley.
- The Prime Minister inaugurated the section and virtually flagged off two electrified trains. The project used escape tunnels, fire-safety pipelines, and multiple emergency cross-passages to ensure safe operations through challenging Himalayan terrain.
- USBRL spans 272 km with a cost of ₹41,119 crore, includes 11 tunnels in this section, and will soon offer travel across marvels like the Chenab bridge and Anji bridge, moving closer to Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari rail connectivity.

- On december 11, 2025 it was reported that In Sangaldan, Gool tehsil of Ramban district in Jammu & Kashmir, GREF completed a ₹9-crore double-lane steel bridge over Chhapar Nallah, including 0.5-km approach roads, resolving a major bottleneck on the Ramban–Gool–Mahore route.
- GREF executed the project with steel super-structure construction and approach roads, addressing long-standing public hardships; local leaders and residents highlighted how frequent flooding earlier cut off access for commuters, patients, students and employees.
- The 45-m bridge aids 1.5 lakh people, prevents vehicle damage and travel delays, and supports tourism in Gool and Sangaldan; its proximity—10 km—to Sangaldan Railway Station further enhances safe, uninterrupted travel for train passengers.

- On On december 11, 2025 in Varanasi, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways launched commercial operations of India’s first indigenous hydrogen fuel-cell vessel at Namo Ghat, advancing the government’s clean inland water transport agenda.
- Union Minister emphasised that India developed the vessel indigenously, demonstrating readiness for alternative fuels. He credited Prime Minister leadership for accelerating technological progress and integrating green energy into India’s transport systems.
- The hydrogen vessel is part of inland-waterways modernisation initiatives focused on clean transport, better connectivity and public convenience; its launch places India alongside China, Norway, the Netherlands and Japan in operating hydrogen-powered vessels.
