23611. DRONE TECHNOLOGY से खाद छिड़काव का नया तरीका, किसानों का काम होगा आसान
- ऑयल एंड नेचुरल गैस कॉरपोरेशन ने किसानों को आश्वासन दिया है कि वह एक डीम्ड यूनिवर्सिटी सस्त्र की सहायता से किसानों की समस्याओं का समाधान कर सकता है।
- यह आश्वासन ONGC और सस्त्र-प्रौद्योगिकी बिजनेस इनक्यूबेशन केंद्र के साथ हाल ही में चार दिवसीय मुफ्त प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। बता दें कि इसका उद्देश्य जैविक खेती के लाभों को प्रेरित करना, शिक्षित करना, उपज में सुधार के लिए प्रौद्योगिकी के उपयोग और इस तरह कृषि कार्यों से अधिक आय प्राप्त करना है।
- ड्रोन से खेतों में पानी और फ़र्टिलाइज़र का छिड़काव कर सकते हैं, जिससे कृषि में काफी मदद मिल सकती है और उत्पादन की मात्रा बढ़ सकती है। कृषि में ड्रोन के जरिये फसलों, पशुधन की निगरानी, सिंचाई प्रबंधन और अन्य चीज़ें शामिल हैं। वहीं ड्रोनफ्लाई का अनुमान है कि ड्रोन मैन्युअल रूप से 40-60 गुना तेजी से उर्वरक स्प्रे कर सकते हैं।
23612. India will export 3 million doses of vaccine to Saudi Arabia
- India will be exporting 3 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Saudi Arabia in about a week or ten days on behalf of the British pharmaceutical major which is facing production issues at its own factory in Belgium, as reported by Times of India.
- It is to be noted that India produces 60% of the world’s vaccines and countries wait with bated breath to receive it.
- Serum Institute of India Ltd. and Bharat Biotech International Ltd are all set to supply the vaccines.
23613. Saudi Arabia to get AstraZeneca shots in about a week from India
- The Serum Institute of India (SII) will supply Saudi Arabia with 3 million AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine doses priced at $5.25 each in about a week on behalf of the British drugmaker, its chief executive told Reuters
- SII, the world's biggest vaccine manufacturer, has partnered with AstraZeneca, the Gates Foundation and the Gavi vaccine alliance to make up to a billion doses for poorer countries.
- SII has no immediate plans, however, to divert supplies to Europe, even though AstraZeneca has come under pressure from the EU to deliver more shots after announcing a big cut in shipments due to production problems at a Belgian factory.
23614. Bangladesh Supplied COVID-19 vaccines to nine countries, will gradually send to COVAX facility: India at UN
- Bangladesh India has informed the UN Security Council that it will gradually supply vaccines to the COVAX facility of the World Health Organisation and undertake contractual supplies to various countries in a phased manner, as more than six million doses have been airlifted to nine countries under New Delhi’s “vaccine diplomacy.”
- India has assisted more than 150 countries through urgent health and medical supplies. New Delhi has pledged $15 million for GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, and operationalised the COVID-19 Emergency Fund for its neighbours with an initial contribution of $10 million.
- Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives have received India’s COVID-19 vaccines under grant assistance in sync with its “Neighbourhood First” policy. India has begun commercial exports of COVID-19 vaccines and sent two million doses each to Brazil and Morocco.
23615. South Africa to get 1st batch of vaccine from India
- South Africa’s president Monday confirmed his country will soon receive its first consignment of COVID-19 vaccines from the Serum Institute in India, the world’s largest vaccine producer.

- The second phase will include essential workers, teachers, the elderly and those with comorbidities, Ramaphosa said, adding: “The third phase will include other adults in the population.”

- India’s Mahinda Rajapaksa said India would be sending 500,000 vaccines to Sri Lanka and they will arrive on January 28
- Sri Lanka on Tuesday expressed appreciation and gratitude to India for sending 500,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to the island country.
- Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa told the Cabinet that the Indian High Commissioner in Colombo informed that India would be sending 500,000 vaccines to Sri Lanka and they will arrive here on January 28.

- India has supplied COVID-19 vaccines made in the country, under the initiative of Vaccine Maitri programme, to neighbouring countries including Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Myanmar and Bangladesh

23618. Maldives Lauds PM Modi’s Gesture in Providing COVID Vaccine
- Honourable President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, its Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and Honorary Consul (Mumbai) of the Republic of Maldives Bobby Mohanty have expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation and have praised the Hon. Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi for providing COVID-19 vaccine to their country.

23619. भारत ने ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल के आकाश से मार करने वाले संस्करण का सफल परीक्षण किया
- भारत ने बुधवार को ओडिशा के तट पर चांदीपुर के एकीकृत परीक्षण रेंज से सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल ब्रह्मोस का आकाश से मार करने वाले संस्करण का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया।
- इस अभियान को ब्रह्मोस के विकास में ‘‘प्रमुख मील का पत्थर’’ बताते हुए सूत्रों ने कहा कि मिसाइल के आकाश से मार करने वाले संस्करण का सुबह साढ़े 10 बजे सुपरसोनिक लड़ाकू विमान सुखोई 30 एमके-आई से परीक्षण किया गया।
- इस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज मिसाइल के विकास, उत्पादन और विपणन के लिए ब्रह्मोस भारत (डीआरडीओ) और रूस (एनपीओएम) के बीच एक संयुक्त उपक्रम है। आक्रामक मिसाइल हथियार प्रणाली को सशस्त्र बलों में शामिल किया गया है।
23620. ताजीज और रिलायंस का 2 अरब डॉलर का रणनीतिक संयुक्त उद्यम
- अबू धाबी केमिकल्स डेरिवेटिव्स कंपनी आरएससी लिमिटेड (ताजीज) और रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड ने दो अरब डॉलर के निवेश से विश्व स्तर पर रासायनिक उत्पादन साझेदारी 'ताजीज ईडीसी एंड पीवीसी ' लॉन्च करने के लिए समझौता किया है।
- नए संयुक्त उद्यम 2 अरब डॉलर से अधिक का निवेश किया जाएगा। संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में इन रसायनों का पहली बार उत्पादन किया जाएगा। यह परियोजना वैश्विक स्तर पर इन रसायनों की बढ़ती मांग को पूरा करने के साथ-साथ आयात को भी कम करेगी।
- यह परियोजना एडीएनओसी और रिलायंस की दीर्घकालिक रणनीतिक साझेदारी पर आधारित है। इस क्षेत्र में रिलायंस का यह पहला निवेश है।
