23601. कभी कॉलेज नहीं गया यह युवक, पर बना दिए 35 तरह के Farming Tools, विदेशों तक है मांग
- वह कहते हैं न, आवश्यकता ही आविष्कार की जननी होती है। ऐसा ही कुछ गुजरात के हिरेन पांचाल (Hiren Panchal) के साथ भी हुआ। मूल रूप से गुजरात के राजपीपला शहर के रहने वाले हिरेन पंचाल धरमपुर में रहकर खेती और बागवानी से जुड़े कई तरह के टूल्स (Farming Tools) बना रहे हैं।
- हिरेन ने खेती और बागवानी के काम को आसान बनाने के लिए तक़रीबन 35 तरह के छोटे-छोटे हैंडटूल्स बनाए हैं। केवल तीन साल में उनके बनाए उपकरण इतने लोकप्रिय हो गए कि देश ही नहीं, विदेश से भी लोग उनके टूल्स (Farming Tools) मंगवा रहे हैं।
- हिरेन ने अपने सभी आविष्कार, युवाओं और पिछड़े किसानों को ध्यान में रखकर ही किये थे। वहीं अब उन्हें अमेरिका और जर्मनी जैसे देशों से भी ऑर्डर्स मिल रहे हैं।

- केंद्रीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग, कपड़ा और उपभोक्ता कार्य व खाद्य एवं सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री पीयूष गोयल देश में प्लास्टिक उद्योग के कामकाज की समीक्षा कर रहे थे। उन्होंने इस क्षेत्र के प्रदर्शन और क्षमता को बेहतर करने के लिए उद्योग के हितधारकों के विचारों और सुझावों को भी सुना।
- केंद्रीय मंत्री ने कहा कि प्लास्टिक उद्योग देश में रोजगार का सबसे बड़ा उत्पादक क्षेत्र है। इसलिए उसे अगले पांच साल के दौरान अपने कुल कारोबार में अपेक्षित वृद्धि के साथ-साथ अब रोजगार को भी दोगुना करने का लक्ष्य रखना चाहिए।
- बीआईएस प्लास्टिक सामग्री की हर संभव बेहतरीन जांच सुनिश्चित करने के लिए जहां भी आवश्यक होगा वहां प्रयोगशालाएं स्थापित करेगा।

23609. India to send 5 lakh Covid-19 vaccines to Sri Lanka as part of ‘Vaccine Maitri’
- India will despatch 500,000 doses of Covishield vaccines to Sri Lanka as grant assistance under its “Vaccine Maitri” initiative, which has already delivered nearly five million doses to seven countries in the neighbourhood.
- The Sri Lankan government has finalised its priority list of vulnerable groups, including healthcare workers and armed forces personnel, who will be first to receive the vaccine. Sri Lanka approved the emergency use of Covishield, which is the AstraZeneca vaccine, on January 23.
- Since the launch of the Vaccine Maitri (Vaccine Friendship) initiative on January 20, India has provided vaccines to Bhutan (150,000 doses), the Maldives (100,000 doses), Bangladesh (two million doses), Nepal (one million doses), Myanmar (1.5 million doses), Seychelles (50,000 doses), and Mauritius (100,000 doses).
