23041. Honda to begin battery swap for electric 3-wheelers in Bengaluru by June: Report
- Japanese automaker Honda Motors will roll out its battery-swapping services for electric three-wheelers in Bengaluru from June this year. the company aims to analyse the market in India's tech capital before extending the service to other regions and the two-wheeler segment.
- The 2017 EV policy in India aims to draw Rs 31,000 crore in R&D and manufacturing investments. Several states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu have announced their state policies since then.
- A battery-swapping station is a place where a drained electric vehicle battery can be exchanged with a fully charged one. These stations act as battery aggregators, offering the infrastructure for charging a large number of batteries and making charged batteries available to EVs.

23042. Look who's riding electric bikes in Bengaluru
- Yulu co-founders, including its CEO Amit Gupta, had visualized their MMVs to “decongest the infamous Bengaluru traffic and improve its air quality” when they started the company in 2018; their intention was to change the mindset of the white-collar commuters who wouldn’t leave their cars for cycles.
- The first stand of rental bikes appeared in Bellandur, a neighbourhood with several special economic zones housing MNCs. The electric cycles were aimed at the professionals living in the vicinity.
- Yulu estimates that 17,000 gig workers have used their electric cycles in 2021. The company even designed an electric vehicle with a goods carrier that can carry about 10 kg load. And ever since the pandemic, Gupta told me the company’s journey has widened from ‘moving people’ to ‘moving goods’ for the last mile. “Using Yulu is expected to reduce the operating costs of delivery executives by almost 35-40%, increasing their earning potential.”
23043. कोरोना संकट काल में मदद के लिए आगे आ रहीं महिलाएं, घर के काम के बाद कोरोना वॉरियर्स को खुद सिलकर बांट रहीं मास्क
- 'जीवनम' नाम की एक संस्था ने मास्क बनाने का बीड़ा उठाया है। यह संस्था पहले कपड़ों से थैला बनाती थी। लेकिन अब इन महिलाओं ने ऑनलाइन वीडियो ट्यूटोरियल देखकर कोरोना से लड़ाई के लिए मास्क बनाने का काम शुरू कर दिया है।
- यहां करीब तीस महिलाएं रोजाना लगभग 200-300 मास्क बनाती हैं। इस संगठन से जुड़ी करीब 169 महिलाओं ने कोरोना वॉरियर्स के तौर पर खुद कमान संभाल ली है
- इन्हें कुल 40 हजार मास्क बनाने का लक्ष्य सौंपा गया है।

23044. SHG women make 13 lakh masks in Gujarat
- Women of self help groups (SHGs) across the state have made over 13 lakh masks during the lockdown, of which over 12 lakh have already been distributed among cops, sanitation workers and other frontline staff involved in battling the Covid-19 pandemic. Even as means of livelihood of women of SHGs was affected because of the lockdown, the Gujarat Urban Livelihood Mission (GULM) engaged the services of urban SHGs to make homemade masks.
- GULM has been collecting these masks and distributing them among frontline staff who are working to control spread of the pandemic. “We engaged the services of women in 129 cities and towns of the state for making masks. Our staff collects the masks and these are then distributed among those battling the Covid-19 pandemic,” the official said.
- With the demand for masks being high, each woman has been able to earn around Rs 300 a day by making masks,” the official said. The official said that GULM expects to produce another 15 lakh masks in the next fortnight through SHG women

23045. NGOs come together to make masks; Kolkata youths raise funds for needy neighbours
- Project Karuna, an initiative by SwitchON Foundation, Active Citizens Together for Sustainability (ACTS) and JITO, focuses on ensuring that everyone in the city has access to two cotton masks each. In collaboration with the district rural development cells, the project started ‘Women Cotton Mask Ventures’ where over 200 women entrepreneurs from various self-help groups (SHG) are making masks across the districts.
- The target is to train 1,000 women to make 10,00,000 masks. Till date, 45,000 masks have been made. And locals on Sukeas Street have set up a kitchen and have been feeding around 200 daily wagers and pavement dwellers in the area over the past 20 days.
- Each woman can make up to Rs 15,000 a month from stitching masks. The products are being sold at Rs 20 in retail and Rs 15 in bulk,” Jaju said. In Kolkata, NSIC, Howrah, employee Sujit Kumar Shaha has distributed more than 2,500 masks among the needy around Dum Dum Cantonment. A group of college and high school students in Metiabruz have raised funds for more than 13,000 poor neighbours over the past 15 days.

23046. घर-घर मास्क-राशन बांट रही दिव्यांगों की 'दिव्य' टीम, पीएम मोदी भी सलमान के जज्बे को कर चुके हैं सलाम
- दिव्यांगों की एक दिव्य टोली घर-घर मास्क और राशन पहुंचाने में जुटी है. शारीरिक रूप से सक्षम लोगों को मानवीयता की नई इबारत पढ़ाने में जुटी यह टीम, मुरादाबाद के हमीरपुर गांव के दिव्यांग सलमान खान की अगुवाई में लगातार आगे बढ़ रही है. उत्तर प्रदेश के मुरादाबाद में हमीरपुर गांव निवासी सलमान खान की चप्पल और डिटर्जेट बनाने की फैक्ट्री है.
- कोरोना संकट के कारण काम बंद है और दिव्यांग मजदूर भी खाली पड़े हैं. ऐसे में इस नेक कार्य को परवान चढ़ाने का निर्णय लिया गया. यहां कार्य करने वाले 30 दिव्यांग खुद मास्क बना रहे हैं और उन्हें घर-घर पहुंचाने में जुटे हैं.
- राशन का वितरण करीब 150 लोगों में हो चुका है. सलमान का कहना है कि वह बचपन से ही दिव्यांग हैं. इस वजह से बहुत सी दुश्वारियां भी झेलीं हैं. जब भी किसी दिव्यांग को देखते हैं, तो उसमें हिम्मत पैदा करने का प्रयास करते हैं. शायद यही वजह भी है कि उन्होंने अपनी फैक्ट्री डाली और दिव्यांगों में छिपे हुनर को उभारने का प्रयास किया

23047. मां बना रही घर पर मास्क, बेटा घूम घूम कर बांट रहा पूरे गांव में नि:शुल्क
- देवेंद्र सेठिया जो स्थानीय शहीद गुंडाधूर स्नाकोत्तर महाविद्यालय में बीएएससी प्रथम वर्ष के छात्र है और राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना के वालीटियर हैं।
- उसकी मॉ रूक्मणी घर पर कपड़ा आदि सिलने का काम करती है। उसने अपने काम छोडक़र कपड़ों की कतरन व कुछ कपड़ों को जोड़तोड कर माक्स बनाना शूरू किया।
- देवेंद्र ने बताया किए उसकी मॉ रोजाना सुबह माक्स बनाती है और फिर मैं उसे लेकर गांव में बॉटने के लिए निकल जाता हूॅ।

23048. गांव की महिलाओं ने दो महीने में बेचे 1 लाख के मास्क
- ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन के तहत लिया लोन - गांव में रहने वाली पूनम सिसोदिया ग्रैजुएट हैं, लेकिन घर के कामों में ही बिजी रहती थीं। लॉकडाउन में रोजगार जाने की बातें हो रही थीं। इसी दौरान पूनम ने कुछ अलग करने की सोची। परिवार ने भी साथ दिया। उन्होंने गांव की कमलेश, संगीता, शीतल, उर्मिला, रामेश्वरी, रश्मि, प्रियंका, बिमलेश और रामवती के साथ मिलकर साईं बाबा स्वयं सहायता समूह के नाम से ग्रुप बनाया। जिला प्रशासन के पास इसका रजिस्ट्रेशन कराया। राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण आजीविका मिशन के तहत प्रशासन ने उनको एक लाख रुपये का लोन भी दिलाया। उसके बाद पिलखवा और दादरी से कपड़ा आदि कच्चा माल लेकर मास्क बनाना शुरू कर दिया। गांव में ही महिलाओं ने सिलाई मशीनों से मास्क बनाए।500 मास्क रोज कर रहीं तैयार
- 4 हजार से ज्यादा मास्क खरीदे NTPC ने - एनटीपीसी ने इस समूह से 4030 फेस मास्क खरीदे। ज़िला प्रशासन, पुलिस प्रशासन एवं अन्य संस्थाओं को भी उन्होंने मास्क दिए हैं। पिछले दो माह में उन्होंने एक लाख रुपये से ज्यादा के मास्क बेच दिए हैं। गांव से सटे एनटीपीसी ने इनको सबसे अधिक ऑर्डर दिया।
- "गांव की महिलाओं ने स्वयं सहायता समूह बनाकर बेहतरीन काम किया है। एनटीपीसी ने अपने दायित्वों का पालन करते हुए गांव की इन महिलाओं को ट्रेनिंग भी कराई थी। मास्क खरीद कर हमने महिला सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में सहयोग दिया है।" -पंकज सक्सेना, प्रबंधक कॉरपोरेट कम्युनिकेशन
23049. नहीं है एक हाथ, फिर भी बच्ची ने लोगों के लिए सिले मास्क
- मामला कर्नाटक से है जहां एक 10 वर्षीय बच्ची ने अपने एक हाथ से मास्क सिले और कुछ छात्रों में बाटें। सोशल मीडिया पर बच्ची के जज्बे की खूब तारीफ हो रही है| ’10 वर्षीय सिंधुरी उडुपी की रहने हैं। वह दिव्यांग है। इसके बावजूद उन्होंने अपने एक हाथ से मास्क सिलकर जरुरतमंदों में बाटें। दरअसल, सिंधुरी ने गुरुवार को यह मास्क एसएसएलसी की परीक्षा देने आए छात्रों को दिए।’
- रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, सिंधुरी कई मास्क सिल चुकी हैं। वो भी सिर्फ अपने एक हाथ से। दरअसल, जब सिंधुरी का जन्म हुआ तो उनके बाएं हाथ की कोहनी के नीचे का हिस्सा नहीं था। लेकिन उन्होंने इसे अपनी कमजोरी नहीं बनने दिया। कोरोना संकट के दौरान भी उन्होंने लोगों के लिए मास्क बनाए।
- सिंधुरी छठी कक्षा में पढ़ती हैं और एक स्काउट एंड गाइड हैं जिनका लक्ष्य, एक लाख लोगों के लिए मास्क बनाना है।
23050. 'आत्मनिर्भर भारत' की मिसाल हैं काशी के जितेंद्र, जानिए रियल हीरो के जीवन की कहानी
- सारनाथ के हीरामनपुर गांव में रहने वाले जितेंद्र वर्मा के शरीर के नीचे का हिस्सा काम न करने के बावजूद भी जितेंद्र ने कभी हौसला नहीं हारा और पिछले 17 सालों से बिस्तर पर लेट कर ही सिलाई का काम करते आ रहे हैं, और अपने परिवार का भरण-पोषण कर रहे हैं।
- 23 फरवरी 2003 को जितेंद्र की ज़िंदगी से खुशियां चली गई थीं। एक अच्छे टेलर मास्टर की जिंदगी में उस मनहूस दिन ने वो भूचाल ला दिया कि अब वो बैठने के लायक भी नहीं रहे। आपको बता दें कि 2003 में हुए एक एक्सीडेंट में जितेंद्र के शरीर के निचले हिस्से ने काम करना बंद कर दिया था। उनकी रीढ़ की हड्डी में चोट लगने की वजह से अब वह कभी भी चल फिर नहीं सकते और न ही बैठ सकते हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने कभी भी अपना हौसला नहीं हारा और अपनी उम्मीद को बांधे रखा।
- जितेंद्र ने दोबारा अपने सिलाई के काम को शुरू किया और अपने हुनर की अपनी पहचान बनाई। जितेंद्र बेड पर ही लेटे-लेटे लोगों के लिए कपड़े सिलते हैं। वहीं वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना वायरस के चलते इन दिनों मास्क सिलकर अपने आसपास के मोहल्लों में मुफ्त में वितरण कर रहे हैं ताकि इस कोरोना वायरस से लड़ा जा सके। इसके साथ ही वो और लोगों को आत्मनिर्भर होने के गुर भी सिखाते हैं।
