2. More than a dozen new charges filed against Palmetto pastor
- USA's Manatee County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children detectives arrested a Palmetto pastor on June 21, 2024 for possession of child pornography.
- On 25 June 2024, 14 more charges were filed against the pastor Jonathan Edward Elwing .
- Jonathan Edward Elwing was the senior pastor of Palm View Baptist Church. He resigned from his position as pastor of the church before being arrested.

3. Man convicted of multiple counts of child sexual assault in Langlade County gets 25 years prison
- A former pastor Travis Huse, 44, and his father, Scott Huse, 66 charged with multiple sexual child sexual assaults was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
- Pastor Travis was previously convicted of 12 counts, including first-degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement for incidents dating back to 1996.
- Travis Huse must register as a sex offender for life. Travis Huse agreed to the terms of a plea agreement in May 2024. He pleaded no contest to 12 of his 31 counts. Scott Huse is charged with 12 felony counts of child sexual assault and child enticement.
