- सेंट्रल काउंसिल फॉर रिसर्च में बतौर रिसर्च असिस्टेंट रिटायर हुए 65 वर्षीय मुनीबाबु रेड्डी को गार्डनिंग का काफी शौक है। इसके साथ ही, वह प्रकृति के साथ समन्वय से जीने में भरोसा रखते हैं।उन्होंने लगभग 7500 रुपये खर्च करके अपने घर में रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग सिस्टम बनवाया और आज वह इसकी मदद से इतना पानी इकट्ठा कर लेते हैं, जो लगभग 3 महीने तक उनकी दैनिक ज़रूरतों को पूरा करता है। इससे उन्हें पानी की समस्या नहीं होती और साथ ही, उन्होंने अपने घर के गार्डन में ही एक सोखता गड्ढा बनवाया हुआ है जो भूजल को रिचार्ज करने में मदद करता है।
- मुनीबाबु बताते हैं कि उनका घर दो मंजिला है और वह दोनों ही फ्लोर पर पानी को इकट्ठा करते हैं। पहले फ्लोर से आने वाले पानी को गार्डनिंग और भूजल रिचार्ज के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है और दूसरे फ्लोर के पानी को घर और किचन के कामों में इस्तेमाल में लिया जाता है।
- पहले फ्लोर पर उनका गार्डन है। उन्होंने अपने गार्डन को इस तरह से बनाया है ताकि जब वह पेड़-पौधों को पानी दें तो गमले और ग्रो बैग आदि से ड्रेनेज होने वाला पानी भी एक जगह इकट्ठा हो जाए। इस पानी को वह बड़े बर्तनों में इकट्ठा करके, एक मोटर पंप की मदद से ऊपर रखे एक टैंक में पहुंचाते हैं। इस पानी में कुछ ताजा पानी मिलाकर वापस पेड़-पौधों की सिंचाई के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

- साल 2017 से जब पीयूष इंद्रप्रस्थ इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज गाजियाबाद से बीटेक फाइनल ईयर की पढ़ाई कर रहे थे। इस दौरान कॉलेज में कंस्ट्रक्शन का काम हो रहा था। वहाँ मज़दूर सुबह से शाम तक काम में लगे रहते थे और उनके छोटे-छोटे बच्चे इधर-उधर घूम कर अपना समय यूँ ही गँवाते रहते थे। पीयूष इस दौरान कॉलेज के हॉस्टल में ही रहते थे और रोज़ाना यह सब करीब से देखा करते थे। पीयूष को इन बच्चों को पढ़ाने का ख़याल आया। फिर क्या था पीयूष पहुँच गए इन मजदूरों के पास।
- कुछ मज़दूरों ने अपने बच्चों को पढ़ाने में बिलकुल भी रूचि नहीं दिखाई, वहीं ये बच्चे खुद भी पढ़ना नहीं चाहते थे। हालाँकि बाद में बातचीत के बाद शिक्षा के मायने समझा बुझा कर बच्चे पढ़ाई के लिए आने लगे। धीरे-धीरे इनमें लड़कियों की भी संख्या बढ़ने लगी फिर पीयूष ने एक खुले ग्राउंड में शाम को बच्चों को पढ़ाना शुरू किया। पीयूष ने अपने स्कूल को ‘संस्कृति स्कूल ऑफ़ एक्सीलेंस’ नाम दिया।
- कुछ मुश्किलें ज़रूर सामने आईं जैसे कि बच्चों के पास किताबें नहीं हुआ करती थीं। हालाँकि ये जरुरतें बाद में फंडिंग से पूरी होने लगीं। धीरे-धीरे जब इन बच्चों की संख्या बढ़ने लगी तब पीयूष के दोस्त भी शाम में बच्चों को पढ़ाने के लिए उनका साथ देने लगे I एक छोटा सा स्कूल अब खुले मैदान में शुरू हो गया था।

- To help artisans, the founders of Craft Village — Somesh Singh and his wife Iti Tyagi — decided to create ‘concrete’ PPE suits for COVID warriors, as well as help artisans, earn their income.
- The Founder researched and found that the PPE kits need to be airtight or have highly-filtered protection from the infected air. Further, they also need to be de-infected while a person is wearing the attire, so the fabric has to be waterproof.
- The founders of Craft Village decided to build these ‘concrete’ suits called CoValor -21. These suits are available in the price range between Rs 3,500-Rs 5,000, depending on the quality of the fabric.

- कमल कश्यप ने पिछले साल जून में दिल्ली की करावल नगर रोड पर करीब 30 पौधे लगाए थे और पौधों को पशु या इंसान नुकसान न पहुँचायें इसके लिए रस्सी से बैरिकेटिंग भी की थी। पौधों को भी रोज़ पानी देता था। कुछ दिन तक तो सब सही रहा, लेकिन दो दिन बाद अगली सुबह मकमल कश्यप ने देखा कि पौधों के पत्ते पूरी तरह गायब हैं और कई पौधे टूटे हुए भी हैं। कुछ के ऊपर कूड़ा पड़ा हुआ है। रस्सी तोड़ दी गईं थीं और डंडे गायब हो चुके थे। ये सारा काम साप्ताहिक बाजार लगाने वालों का था और उन लोगों का था जो रोड को पार करने के लिए डिवाइडर का सहारा लेते थे।
- सबसे पहले पेड़ों की व्यवस्था करनी थी। मकमल कश्यप ने दिल्ली सरकार की नर्सरी के बारे में पता किया, तो आईटीओ पर सरकारी नर्सरी के बारे में पता चला। वहाँ जाकर बात की तो पेड़ों के निःशुल्क मिलने की व्यवस्था हो गई।
- लोहे के जाल की फेसिंग के लिए बल्लियाँ और सिंचाई के लिए पानी का कनेक्शन अभी भी समस्या बना हुआ था। स्थानीय दुकानदारों की मदद से पांच हजार रुपये पहले ही मिल चुके थे। बाकी के काम के लिए कमल ने अपनी जेब से ही पैसा लगाने की ठानी और जून 2019 के अंतिम सप्ताह में पेड़ लगाने की योजना पर काम शुरू किया।

- पिछले कई साल से बनारस के युवा अमन यादव निःस्वार्थ भाव से लोगों की मदद और सेवा कर रहे हैं। वह अब तक हज़ारों मरीजों का प्राथमिक उपचार कर अस्पताल पहुँचा चुके हैं। साथ ही वह गुमशुदा लोगों को उनके घर तक पहुँचाने का भी नेक काम करते हैं।
- अमन ने बताया, “एक बार मैं अपने किसी काम से सरकारी अस्पताल गया हुआ था, वहाँ की स्थिति देखकर मन दुखी हो गया। इंसान की स्थिति जानवरों से बदतर थी। कोई किसी को पूछने वाला नहीं था। अस्पताल के बाहर एक महिला बेहोश पड़ी हुई थी। कोई उनकी देखभाल करने वाला नहीं था। मुझे उनके बेटे का नंबर पता चला तो मैंने उनसे संपर्क किया लेकिन उनके 5 बेटों ने अपनी माँ को पहचानने से इंकार कर दिया। मैंने उन बूढ़ी माताजी के उपचार की ज़िम्मेदारी ली, लेकिन उन्हें बचा न सका। इसके बाद पोस्टमॉर्टेम के बाद उनके बेटे उनकी हाथ की अंगूठी और सोने की चेन लेने पहुँच गए। उस क्षण मैंने समाज का सबसे वीभत्स रूप देखा। मैं सोचने लगा कि क्या दुनिया इतनी स्वार्थी हो सकती है? उसी क्षण मैंने तय किया कि अब मैं हर असहाय, गरीब और जरूरतमंद की मदद करूँगा। जिनकी कोई मदद नहीं करेगा उसकी मदद करने का हर संभव प्रयास करूँगा।”
- अमन का कहना है कि हर किसी को जरूरतमंद लोगों की मदद करनी चाहिए। वह कहते हैं, “जरूरतमंद की सहायता के लिए किसी का इंतज़ार मत करिए, जितना संभव हो उतनी मदद करिए। इस दुनिया को बेहतर बनाना है तो सभी को मिलकर काम करना होगा।”

- The group, which operates mostly on WhatsApp and social media channels, has distributed over 17,000 water bowls across India so far Sunny Jain was strolling around his neighbourhood one day when he saw a dog drink water from a dirty puddle. Moved by what he saw, he placed a spare bowl outside his house and filled it with water. Over the next couple of days, the bowl had become a watering hole for not just dogs, but goats, cats, cows, and birds of various species
- Inspired by his actions, Sunny’s neighbours started putting bowls out too. That slowly sparked a trend in his locality in Tumkur – around 70 kilometres from Bengaluru – where everyone started placing bowls of water outside their homes to quench the thirst of birds and animals.
- The group, launched nearly five years ago, has so far distributed more than 17,000 bowls across the country. Resource distribution and logistics were some of the issues Sunny and his team had to grapple with in the initial days, but as more volunteers joined the cause, they were able to iron the kinks out.
