21321. 45 सालों से जंगल में आदिवासियों के बीच रहकर उनकी ज़िन्दगी सँवार रहे हैं यह पूर्व वायु सेना कर्मी
- विलास मनोहर आज से 45 साल पहले जब आदिवासियों के गाँव हेमकलसा पहुंचे थे तब वहाँ मिट्टी की दो-तीन झोपड़ियाँ ही थीं लेकिन आज उनकी मेहनत से वहाँ अस्पताल, पक्के घर व पशुओं के लिए एक अनाथालय खुल चुका है।
- विलास मनोहर का संबंध पुणे से है। 1944 में इनका जन्म हुआ। ग्यारहवीं तक पढ़ाई की, जो उस समय काफी मानी जाती थी। इसके बाद वायरलेस ऑपरेटर के रूप में वायुसेना से जुड़े और भारत-चीन युद्ध (1962) में सेवाएँ भी दीं। वायुसेना से दिल ऊब गया तो अपने घर पुणे लौट आए और एयर कंडीशनर बनाने वाली एक कम्पनी में काम करने लगे। कुछ साल बाद इन्होंने खुद का रेफ्रीजरेशन का व्यवसाय शुरु किया। इस दौरान दोस्तों के साथ शिकार पर जाना और ग्लाइडिंग करना इनके शौक थे। बाद में वह रायफल शूटिंग क्लब से जुड़े और 1973 में नेशनल शूटिंग कम्पटीशन में महाराष्ट्र का प्रतिनिधित्व भी किया था।
- बात तब की है विलास मनोहर लगभग 25 साल के थे। सब कुछ ठीक चल रहा था। एक दिन अकस्मात कुछ ऐसा घटा कि उनका जीवन हमेशा के लिए बदल गया। पुणे के नज़दीक एक प्रसिद्ध तीर्थस्थान है आलंदी। वहाँ वह अपने दोस्तों के साथ जाया करते थे। लेकिन यह उपक्रम सिर्फ भगवत दर्शन के लिए नहीं था। वह अपने दोस्तों के साथ घर से 13 किमी दूर आलंदी तक पैदल जाते, वहाँ कुछ वक्त बिताते, दर्शन करते और फिर बस से वापस आते।
21322. Nagaland : Mini-Soil Testing Laboratory Inaugurated In Noklak
- The Agriculture Production Commissioner of Nagaland – Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS today inaugurated the Mini Soil Testing Laboratory at SDO (Soil) Office, Noklak. During the inauguration programme, Sema informed the gathering that he was glad to yet again inaugurate another Mini labaratory for the people of Noklak and the state as well.
- He informed the people that a more sophisticated Soil Testing Laboratory with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) is in the pipeline and that the Mini lab is being commissioned for creating awareness among the farming community and for the benefit of the general public of the district.
- Meanwhile, over the telephonic conversation with the Deputy Director-General of India Meteorological Department-North East (IMD-NE) – Dr. K. N. Mohan, Sema was assured that the meteorology infrastructure at Tuensang and Noklak districts will be installed with Agro-met AWS having a range of 50 kms radius.
- He observed that there is a price list for all imported commodities like rice, dal, chilli, potatoes, tomatoes etc. but the price list for organic local products is not available. Thus making it difficult for farmers to sell their produce at a fair price. Therefore, he requested the district administration Noklak to initiate and bring out the price list for all the agriculture produce in the district and set an example for the other districts.

21323. मिजोरम के आईएएस कपल शशांका और भूपेश ने कुपोषण के खिलाफ उठाई आवाज, अपने प्रयासों से शिक्षा का स्तर सुधारने की दिशा में दिन-रात कर रहे मेहनत
- शशांका के प्रयासों से कई स्कूलों में सुंदर बगीचे बने और कुपोषण का शिकार हुए बच्चों को आंगनवाड़ी में भरपेट खाना मिलने लगा
- इस कपल को 15 अगस्त यानी स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर मिजोरम सरकार ने मुख्यमंत्री पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया
- जब आइएएस शशांका अला ने मिजोरम के लाईवंग्टलाई जिले में जिला मजिस्ट्रेट के रूप में पदभार संभाला, तो राजधानी आइजोल से लगभग 290 किलोमीटर दूर एक दूरदराज और पिछड़े इलाके में उन्होंने अपने बेटे को आंगनवाड़ी में भर्ती कराया।
21324. After losing their son to drug abuse, this couple from Punjab is fighting against the social evil
- Mukhtiar and Bhupinder Singh’s son passed away due to drug addiction in 2016. From then on, the couple has been going door-to-door to spread awareness about the deadly habit among the community.
- And Manjeet Singh was one of them. On March 26, 2016, he lost his life to the deadly narcotics. Since then, his parents — Mukhtiar Singh and Bhupinder Kaur — have been fighting against drug abuse. The couple, who had offered their son’s shroud to the government demanding action against drug addiction, are now going door-to-door to spread awareness about the issue.
- Mukhtiar, an assistant linesman with the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd posted in Khem Karan, makes it a point to visit at least five families each weekend.
21325. Pledging For Safer Environment : Assam Government To Eliminate Single-Use Plastics; Check-Out Key Decisions
- Single-use plastic bags can contaminate soil and water, posing significant risks to both humans and wildlife. Given its negative impact, stakeholders and governments around the globe are undertaking decisions to prohibit its use, reducing marine and land-based plastic pollution as well as the amount of waste going to landfill, which is directly related to greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, citing the need to keep the environment safe and free of hazardous elements, the Assam Government has approved a Comprehensive Action Plan to eliminate single-use plastics.
- The decision was undertaken following a clarion call given by Prime Minister – Narendra Modi. It has also laid down a plan for development of alternatives and scientific disposal of plastic wastes.
- It will also ban earbuds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks for balloons, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice-cream sticks, polystyrene (thermocol) used for decorations, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery like forks, spoons, knives, straw, trays, wrapping or packaging films around sweet boxes, invitation cards, and cigarette packets, plastic or PVC banners less than 100 micron, stirrers.

21326. क्लास में जानवर, टूटे दरवाजे, ऐसा था यह सरकारी स्कूल, 4 महीने में एक टीचर ने की काया पलट
- सूरजपुर जिले के शासकीय प्राथमिक शाला झारपारा (पंपापुर) में अव्यवस्था का यह आलम था इस गाँव के हर शख्स को लगता था कि यहाँ पढ़ाई नहीं हो सकती है. लेकिन यहाँ के शिक्षक गौतम शर्मा के लगातार प्रयासों के चलते आज स्थितियाँ बदलने लगी हैं।
- गौतम ने स्कूल में एक समर कैम्प का आयोजन भी करवाया जिसमें बच्चो को ताइक्वांडो, हैंड राइटिंग सुधार, बैडमिंटन, स्पीकिंग स्किल्स आदि पर जोर दिया गया। शाला समिति अध्यक्ष विनोद साहू कहते हैं,
- “गौतम शर्मा ने बहुत ही कम समय में ही स्कूल का कायाकल्प ही कर दिया। उनके द्वारा किये गए कार्यो की जितनी भी प्रशंसा की जाए वो कम है। इस तरह लोगों मे सरकारी स्कूल के प्रति विश्वास का संचार हुआ।“
21327. जंगलों से 11 लाख देसी बीज इकट्ठा कर लोगों को मुफ्त बाँट चुके हैं शिक्षक पति-पत्नी
- गुजरात के इन टीचर पति-पत्नी का उद्देश्य हमारे आस-पास से लुप्त हो रहीं वनस्पतियों को सहेजकर आनेवाली पीढ़ी तक पहुँचाना है।
- भरत और जागृति ने दूसरी वनस्पतियाँ जैसे गूगल, गिलोय आदि के बीज भी इकट्ठा करना शुरू किया। उन्होंने अपने पिता को प्रेरित किया कि वह सब्जियां भी देसी बीज वाली बोयें। अब उनके पास कद्दू, करेला जैसी सब्जियों के देसी बीज भी हैं।
- अगर कोई उनसे बीज मंगवाता है तो भरत अपनी जेब से पैसे खर्च कर उन्हें कूरियर से बीज पहुंचाते हैं। अगर किसी को पौधे चाहिए तब भी वह एक न्यूनतम टोकन चार्ज लेकर इन्हें भेज देते हैं।
21328. पेड मैन के बाद मिलिये पंजाब की 'पैड वुमन' से, 12 लाख सेनेटरी पैड्स बांट चुकी हैं IRS अफसर अमनप्रीत
- दिल्ली में ज्वाइंट इनकम टैक्स अफसर के तौर पर सेवाएं दे रहीं अमनप्रीत कौर अब तक देश में 12 लाख से ज्यादा सेनेटरी पैड्स बांट चुकी हैं। इसके लिए उन्होंने संगिनी सहेली नाम से ट्रस्ट बनाया है, जिसमें कई महिला अधिकारी हैं।
- लुधियाना के बाड़ेवाल में जन्मी अमनप्रीत कौर कहती हैं, ' पिता जी ने मां की मदद के लिए मुझे प्रोत्साहित किया। बाद में मुझे एहसास हुआ कि यह समस्या सिर्फ जेल में रहती महिला कैदियों की नहीं, बल्कि समाज की पचास फीसद महिलाओं की है। महिला कैदियों के साथ-साथ अन्य महिलाओं को भी मुफ्त सेनेटरी पैड्स बांटने शुरू किए।'
- ऐसा भी समय था जब एक दिन में करीब 350 महिलाएं मेरे घर पर पैड्स लेने आने लगी थीं। जब अफसर बनी तो अपनी बैच की महिलाओं को साथ लेकर इस मुहिम को आगे बढ़ाया। अब वह पूरे उत्तर भारत में संगिनी सहेली ट्रस्ट की मदद से यह काम कर रही हैं। संगरूर में तैनात आइआरएस अफसर गगन कुंद्रा थोरी और पोस्टल विभाग की अधिकारी आरती भी उनके साथ हैं। संगिनी सहेली ट्रस्ट की चेयरपर्सन प्रियल भारद्वाज हैं।
21329. Atal Tunnel Certified By World Book Of Records In London As World's Longest Highway Tunnel
- Rohtang tunnel or popularly known as Atal Tunnel which reduces the travel time and overall distance between Manali and Keylong on the way to Leh added another feather to its hat after it was officially recognised as the World's Longest Tunnel by World Books of Records in London.
- The Tunnel is built under Rohtang Pass on the Leh-Manali Highway, Himachal Pradesh, India. Afcons Infrastructure Limited (Afcons) the company which excavated the tunnel was also conferred with the prestigious CII Industrial Innovation Award in 2021. Atal tunnel is 9.02km long which makes it the world longest single tube tunnel above 10,000 ft. (3048m)
- The cost of the entire project was reported to be ₹3,200 crores. the Tunnel allows a maximum speed of 80 km/hr and the minimum bar is set to 19 km/hr.
21330. ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India expands presence to J&K; opens retail outlet
- ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) – a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel – marked the expansion of its business to Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) with the opening of its first Hypermart outlet. Located at Purmandal Morh in Jammu, the outlet will provide direct and immediate access of quality steel products to businesses operating in various segments such as infrastructure, housing, and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), according to a press statement.
- Hypermart is AM/NS India’s integrated platform for retail, trade and last-mile sales of steel grades for diverse segments involved in a range of manufacturing activities, including the production of fabricators, engineering goods and auto components. Businesses across J&K will benefit from customisation of orders and a wide range of value-added steel products available through Hypermart, it said.
- Principal Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Jammu and Kashmir inaugurated AM/NS India’s latest Hypermart outlet and said, “We are delighted that ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India marks its footprint in J&K. Over the last year, we have accelerated the economic and industrial development of the region in an unprecedented manner. We have received formal investment proposals with detailed project reports to the tune of Rs 50,000 crore. The entry of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India will surely help in fast-tracking the infrastructure and industrial development of the region, besides immensely benefitting the people.
