761. India, Saudi Arabia sign MoU to boost cultural cooperation
- On November 09,2025, in Riyadh, India and Saudi Arabia signed an MoU to expand cultural cooperation across arts, heritage, literature, music, tourism and creative sectors under the Strategic Partnership Council.
- India’s Culture and Tourism Minister and Saudi Arabia’s Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud co-chaired bilateral talks and formalised the MoU, enabling institutional exchanges and festival participation.
- This was the first meeting of both Culture Ministers since the Ministerial Committee was created after PM Modi’s April 2025 Jeddah visit, and the agreement will accelerate broader cultural linkages beyond trade and investment.

762. India’s Defence Production Hits Worth Of Rs 1.51 Lakh Cr: Rajnath Singh
- On November 10, 2025 in New Delhi, Defence Minister reviewed DPSUs and confirmed India’s defence production reached a record Rs 1.51 lakh crore in FY 2024-25, with exports touching Rs 6,695 crore.
- Defence Minister praised all 16 DPSUs for their contribution to self-reliance and directed them to set measurable R&D and indigenisation targets, while four DPSUs were felicitated with Miniratna Category-I status for efficiency and proven operational capability.
- HAL and BDL signed MoUs with Yantra India to build a 10,000-ton forging press and modernise facilities, another MoU formed a Metal Bank at MIDHANI, and two DPSUs achieved 100% renewable energy usage under the SWAYAM green defence manufacturing mission.
763. ISRO Develops Advanced Lunar Data Products From Chandrayaan-2, Enhancing Future Moon Exploration
- On November 08, 2025, ISRO announced that Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter, currently circling the Moon since 2019, has generated advanced radar data products from the lunar polar regions to improve future global exploration and scientific understanding.
- ISRO scientists at the Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, used nearly 1,400 DFSAR datasets and indigenously developed full-polarimetric algorithms to extract detailed parameters of surface ice, roughness, and dielectric properties.
- The DFSAR instrument is the first L-band full-polarimetric mapper at 25-meter resolution, enabling first-order insights into Moon’s preserved early solar system chemistry and complementing existing hyperspectral mineral mapping, while ISRO also recently launched CMS-03 using LVM3-M5 rocket.

764. DDA launches second phase of Jan Sadharan Awaas Yojana housing scheme
- The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) launched the second phase of the Jan Sadharan Awaas Yojana housing scheme, offering around 1,500 affordable flats across well-connected areas of the city, officials said on 8 Novemebr 2025.
- The scheme, launched on November 7, offers flats under the low-income group and economically weaker section (EWS) categories, located across key areas of Delhi like Shivaji Marg, Ramgarh Colony, Rohini, and Narela.
- "All flats in Rohini, Ramgarh Colony, and Shivaji Marg were booked on the first day itself," the DDA said in a statement.
765. Modi Unveils Projects Worth Rs 8,260 Crore in Uttarakhand Nation
- Prime Minister on 9 November 2025 inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 8,260 crore in Uttarakhand. These projects cater to several key sectors, including drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports, and skill development.
- The projects inaugurated by the prime minister include Dehradun water supply coverage for 23 zones under AMRUT scheme, electrical substation in Pithoragarh district, solar power plants in government buildings, AstroTurf Hockey Ground at Haldwani Stadium in Nainital, among others.
- Prime Minister was there to attend the celebrations to mark 25 years of the formation of Uttarakhand.
766. Union government earns about Rs 800 crore from scrap material in nationwide cleanliness drive
- On October 31, 2025, the Centre’s month-long Swachhta campaign concluded, generating over ₹800 crore by selling scrap and obsolete materials from various ministries and departments.
- The drive, led by DAR&PG and supervised by three Union ministers, cleared 29 lakh files, freed 232 lakh sq. ft. office space, and covered 11.58 lakh sites nationwide.
- Since its launch in 2021, the campaign has earned ₹4,100 crore, cleaned 23.62 lakh offices, and become a key administrative reform promoting cleanliness and efficiency.

767. Rs 21,000 crore invested in Northeast education in 11 years: Nirmala Sitharaman
- On 8 November 2025, Union Finance Minister informed that the Centre had invested ₹21,000 crore in the education sector of the Northeast over the past 11 years.
- During her visit to Assam, Finance Minister laid the foundation stone for Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University in Gohpur, a ₹415 crore project focused on technical and vocational education. 768. America emerges as India's biggest export market for organic honey
- The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has released data indicating that the United States has become the largest market for organic honey exported from India. The data shows that 80% of India's organic honey exports are sent to the United States.
- Until February of FY 2022/23, the manufacturers earned around Rs 1,293.96 crore by exporting 58,471.80 tons of honey to America. Besides America, UAE (Rs 69.72 cr), Saudi Arabia (Rs 30.63 cr), Libya and Morocco are other favourable export destinations for organic honey from India.
- Meanwhile, recent years witnessed a growing appeal for organic honey produced in the country, with an export of 73,51.97 tons and a 25 per cent increase in revenue generation recorded last financial year. Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Punjab and Bihar are the largest producers of honey in the country.

769. Rice exports cross record $11 bn in FY23
- India’s rice exports have crossed a record $11 billion in 2022-23, an increase of 16% from FY22. The volume of shipment, however, remained around the same level as last year at 21 million tonne (MT).
- Officials attribute the spike in rice exports to factors such as robust global demand, especially from West Asian countries, Africa and Europe, and flood that hit a large chunk of paddy crop in Pakistan, a major grain exporter.
- In FY22, India, which has an around 45% share in global rice trade, exported more than 21 MT of rice valued at $9.6 billion. The increased realisation in rice exports has been achieved despite India last year banning broken rice shipment and the imposition of exports tax of 20% on white rice.
- In terms of volume, Bangladesh, China, Benin, Nepal and Iran are five major export destinations for rice. Geographical Indication (GI) tagged basmati rice is a premium variety cultivated in the Himalayan foothills, mostly in Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

770. Indian oilmeal exports increase 167% in January 2023
- Indian oilmeals exports are reported to have increased 167% in January following an increase in the export of mustard seed meal, soya bean meal and other oilmeals.
- The total oilmeals exports recorded a growth of 69.6 per cent during the first several months of the fiscal year 2023. The growth in the exports of the oilmeal is estimated to be a record as the country has managed to become one of the major exporters of oilmeals in the world.
- Based on the data from the Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA), the country has exported around 4.72 lakh tonnes of oilmeals in the month of January 2023 as against the exports in January 2022 which was barely around 1.76 lakh tonnes.
- At present, India is the most competitive exporter of mustard seed meal to Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and certain Far East Countries.
