24011. भारत का निर्यात मई में बढ़कर पहुंचा 32.21 अरब डॉलर
- वाणिज्य मंत्रालय (Commerce Ministry) के प्रारंभिक आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, इस दौरान इंजीनियरिंग, दवा, पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों और रसायनों के निर्यात में खासतौर से तेजी देखी गई.
- पिछले साल मई में निर्यात 19.24 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर और मई 2019 में 29.85 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर था. बयान के मुताबिक, मई 2021 में आयात (Import) 68.54 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 38.53 अरब डॉलर हो गया, जो मई 2020 में 22.86 अरब डॉलर और मई 2019 में 46.68 अरब डॉलर था.
- मंत्रालय ने कहा, ‘‘भारत इस तरह मई 2021 में 6.32 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के व्यापार घाटे के साथ एक शुद्ध आयातक है. मई 2020 में व्यापार घाटा (Trade Deficit) 3.62 अरब डॉलर था। व्यापार घाटे में मई 2020 के मुकाबले 74.69 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई.’’

24012. रोबोट की तरह इस्तेमाल हो सकता है यह EV, आएगा भारतीय सेना के काम
- चेन्नई स्थित स्टार्टअप Torus Robotics भारतीय सेना के लिए मानव-रहित जमीनी वाहन (Unmanned Ground Vehicles) तैयार कर रहा है। इन वाहनों को रोबोट्स की तरह चलाया जा सकता है और इन्हें एक सुरक्षित दूरी से इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। इस स्टार्टअप के फाउंडर विग्नेश कंडासामी, कार्तिकेयन बी और विभाकर सेंथिल हैं।
- साल 2018 के अंत तक एक सरकारी संगठन, आर्मी डिज़ाइन ब्यूरो से संपर्क हो गया। इस संगठन को भारतीय सेना की तत्काल जरूरतों को समझने और स्टार्टअप्स या निजी कंपनियों के माध्यम से समाधान तैयार कराने के लिए बनाया गया है।

24013. इंजिनियरिंग ने निर्यात में कृषि को पछाड़ा, अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार के रुख में तेजी से हो रहा है बदलाव
- पिछले वित्त वर्ष में दवा और कृषि पदार्थो की वैश्विक मांग से ही भारतीय निर्यात की साख बच पाई थी। इस वर्ष अक्टूबर में इंजीनिय¨रग गुड्स के निर्यात में पिछले साल अक्टूबर के मुकाबले 50.70 प्रतिशत और और जेम्स व ज्वैलरी के निर्यात में 44.24 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी रही।
- वाणिज्य व उद्योग मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक पिछले वित्त वर्ष में दवा के निर्यात में 23.52 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी रही थी
- चालू वित्त वर्ष की पहली छमाही (अप्रैल-सितंबर, 2021) में दवा के निर्यात में मात्र 1.30 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी रही जबकि इस अवधि में वस्तुओं का कुल निर्यात 57 प्रतिशत तक बढ़ा। चालू वित्त वर्ष की पहली छमाही में चावल के निर्यात में 12.27 प्रतिशत का इजाफा रहा, जो पिछले वित्त वर्ष में की समान अवधि में 37 प्रतिशत रहा था।

24014. MSME Export In Uttar Pradesh: उत्तर प्रदेश में एमएसएमई का निर्यात 38 फीसदी बढ़ा, 3 अरब डॉलर के पार पहुंचा एक्सपोर्ट
- उत्तर प्रदेश में सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (MSME) ने निर्यात में 38 प्रतिशत की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की है, क्योंकि सरकार ने उन्हें ई-कॉमर्स वेबसाइटों पर एक प्लेटफॉर्म दिया है. अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव (MSME) नवनीत सहगल ने कहा कि राज्य में देश के लगभग 15 प्रतिशत एमएसएमई और 1,000 से अधिक सूक्ष्म इकाइयां विभिन्न ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म पर हैं, जिसके कारण राज्य से एमएसएमई का निर्यात 38 प्रतिशत बढ़ा है.

24015. बिहार से जीआई प्रमाणित शाही लीची की पहली खेप ब्रिटेन को निर्यात की गई
- शाही लीची के निर्यात के लिए पादप-स्वच्छता प्रमाणन पटना में नव स्थापित प्रमाणन सुविधा से जारी किया गया। इस फल को बिहार स्थित मुजफ्फरपुर के किसानों से प्राप्त किया गया और सिरा इंटप्राइजेज इसका निर्यात कर रहा है। वहीं लीची का आयात लंदन के एचएंडजे वेज कर रहा है।
- शाही लीची के निर्यात की सुविधा के लिए एपीडा ने बिहार के कृषि विभाग सहित किसानों, निर्यातकों और आयातकों जैसे अन्य हितधारकों के साथ सहभागिता के साथ की है।
- राज्य कृषि-निर्यात योजना तैयार करने में एपीडा, बिहार सरकार को सुविधा प्रदान कर रहा है, जो राज्य से कृषि और प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य उत्पादों के निर्यात को बढ़ावा देने के लिए रोड-मैप प्रदान करेगा। राज्य कृषि-निर्यात योजना को अंतिम रूप देने के बाद मखाना, आम, लीची और अन्य फलों एवं सब्जियों की निर्यात क्षमता का उपयोग किया जा सकता है।

24016. Supply constraints, higher rupee lift Indian rice export prices to near 4-month high
- The government will buy 500,000 tonnes of rice from local farmers starting Nov. 7, crucial at a time the south Asian nation battles to contain prices of the staple grain of its 170 million people.
- Thailand exported about 3.82 million tonnes of rice between January and September, according to commerce ministry data.
- Top exporter India's 5% broken parboiled variety was quoted at $364 to $369 per tonne, their highest since July 8, up from last week's $363 to $367.

24017. At a Pune Factory, 6,000 Tonnes of ‘Ghost Nets’ Are Being Turned Into Surfing Boards (Japan)
- I recently watched a Netflix documentary Seaspiracy, which emphasised the much-ignored problem of plastic waste caused due to fishing nets. It was terrifying to learn that the great Pacific garbage patch alone consists of 86 per cent fishing nets of its overall plastic pollution.
- Over 6,40,000 tonnes of fishing gear like nets, traps, pots and lines are dumped into the ocean every year. Their weight is equivalent to over 1,00,000 buses. ‘Ghost nets’ or ‘ghost gears’ are discarded and abandoned fishing nets that often kill marine life by accidental entrapment and choking.
- To solve the massive environmental issue that affects marine life globally, a Pune- based company DSM Engineering Materials—that works in the field of nutrition, health, biosciences and sustainable living—is converting the discarded fishing nets into high-quality surfboards.
- The nets are mixed with additives and are converted into granules to turn them into fibreglass surfboards. The granules, can be used to make furniture or other useful items as well. About 2,000 tonnes of such ghost nets are processed each year.
24018. India starts exporting organic products to Germany
- In a boost to exports of organic products, a consignment of 10.2 MT of value added products of organically certified gluten free jackfruit powder & retort packed jackfruit cubes were exported to Germany from Bengaluru via sea route.
- The consignment has been processed in the pack house owned by Phalada Agro Research Foundations (PARF), Bengaluru. Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) registered PARF represents a group of 1500 farmers with a wide coverage of around 12,000 acres farms.
- These farmers grow medicinal and aromatic herbs, coconut, jackfruit, mango puree products, spices and coffee.

24019. India set to export rice to the Philippines after reduction of import duty to 35%
- India’s rice exporters are gearing up to ship the grain to the Philippines from next month as the Southeast Asian nation has reduced the import duty on rice being shipped from India to 35% from 50%.
- Philippines is the second-largest importer of the commodity in the world. In 2020-21, India’s rice exports almost doubled to an all-time high of 17.7 metric tonnes from 9.5 metric tonne in the previous financial year.
- There was an almost 4% increase in basmati exports to 4.45 metric tonnes and a 160% surge in non-basmati rice exports to 13.09 metric tonnes, according to data with Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.

24020. India doubled engineering exports to China in FY21 at $4.8 billion
- India’s engineering exports to 23 out of 25 key markets, including US, China, Germany and Italy showed positive year-on-year growth in the first month of FY21
- Out of 32 engineering goods which saw positive growth, exports of iron and steel grew 210% in April this year compared to last year.
- The non-ferrous segment which includes aluminium, zinc, nickel, lead, tin and other products grew by 110% during the period.
