- मुंबई और पुणे जैसे शहरों में बतौर इंजीनियर काम करने वाले नरेंद्र पितले, नौ साल पहले शिलिम्ब गांव में आकर बस गए। यहाँ उन्होंने मिट्टी और रीसायकल चीजों से, मात्र दो लाख रूपये में एक इको फ्रेंडली घर तैयार कर लिया।
- नरेंद्र ने घर बनाने के लिए रिसर्च भी किया। दरअसल वह कम खर्च में पर्यावरण अनुकूल घर बनाना चाहते थे। यह घर ज्यादा से ज्यादा स्थानीय और रीसायकल वस्तुओं से बना है। इसमें उन्होंने पैकिंग बॉक्स की बेकार लकड़ियों का इस्तेमाल किया है। साथ ही, खिड़की और दरवाजे भी पुराने हैं, जिन्हें उन्होंने कबाड़ीवाले से ख़रीदा है। घर की छत में लगी टाइल्स भी पुरानी हैं।
- गांव में लोग पक्के मकान बनाते वक़्त पुराने घर की टाइल्स फेंक देते हैं। मैंने छत में ऐसी ही टाइल्स का इस्तेमाल किया है।” घर की दीवार के लिए उन्होंने स्थानीय कर्वी की लकड़ियों को काम में लिया, जिसमें मड मोर्टार का इस्तेमाल किया गया है। सबसे ताज्जुब की बात यह है कि इस घर में एक बोरी से भी कम सीमेंट का इस्तेमाल हुआ है, जिसे उन्होंने बाथरूम बनाने के लिए उपयोग में लिया है।
- 500 स्क्वायर फुट के इस घर में एक बेडरूम, एक किचन, एक बाथरूम और एक बरामदा है। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने 100 वाट का सोलर पैनल भी लगवाया है, जिससे उन्हें उपयोग से कहीं ज्यादा बिजली आराम से मिल जाती है।

- वी मार्ट के राम चन्द्र अग्रवाल बचपन में ही पोलियो के शिकार हो गए थे, इस वजह से वे चल नहीं पाते थे। अग्रवाल ने ग्रेजुएशन की पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद साल 1986 में कर्ज लेकर एक फोटोकॉपी की दुकान खोली।
- एक साल बाद उन्होंने बिजनेस शुरू करने का फैसला किया।कोलकाता के लाल बाजार में अग्रवाल ने कपड़े की दुकान खोली। 15 सालों तक कपड़े की दुकान चलाने के बाद उन्होंने इसे बंदकर बड़े स्तर पर रिटेल कारोबार शुरू करने की योजना बनाई।
- साल 2002 में दिल्ली में विशाल मेगामार्ट (Vishal Mega Mart) शुरू हुआ। साल 2007 में विशाल मेगामार्ट ने 2000 करोड़ का आईपीओ पेश किया। साल 2007 में शेयर बाजार में तेजी के दौरान विशाल मेगामार्ट का कारोबार बढ़ाने के लिए रामचन्द्र अग्रवाल ने बैंक से बड़ा कर्ज लेकर निवेश किया।

- बच्चों के लिए कोविड-19 टीकाकरण अभियान के पहले दिन 15-18 आयु वर्ग के 40 लाख से अधिक किशोरों को कोविड वैक्सीन की पहली खुराक मिली। इस अवसर पर पीएम मोदी ने बधाई दी।

- India’s space agency has said that three science missions are in the pipeline — a mission to the planet Venus, a twin-satellite experiment and a joint science mission with France.
- The two-satellite experiment, Disha, will study the aeronomy, the uppermost layer of Earth’s atmosphere before space. Trishna, the joint mission with CNES of France, is meant for accurate mapping of land surface temperatures.
- There is also Aditya Ll, which will travel 1.5 million km from Earth to a point where the Sun will be continuously visible, and conduct studies on the corona, chromosphere and photosphere of the nearest star.
- there was a directive to launch an unmanned mission before the 75th anniversary of India's independence. An unmanned launch is the first major step before the Big Daddy of them all: Gaganyaan, to launch Indian astronauts to space on an Indian rocket from an Indian spaceport.

- Indian Railways is planning to add four new bullet train corridors that will connect nine more cities to the high-speed rail network.
- The corridors to be proposed include a 618 km-long corridor between Hyderabad and Bangalore, an 855 km-long route between Nagpur and Varanasi, an 850 km-long way between Patna and Guwahati and a 190 km-long corridor connecting Amritsar, Pathankot and Jammu.
- Currently, the first high-speed rail corridor in India, which will run between Mumbai to Ahmedabad and cover a distance of 508 km, is under construction and may take up to 2026-27,
- The estimated cost of the project is ₹1.1 lakh crore. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited, an agency to finance, construct and manage India’s bullet train projects, has prepared a detailed project report for the Mumbai – Ahmedabad project.

- Haldia Inland Waterway Terminal: Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal announced that the contract for the Haldia inland waterway terminal has been awarded.
- soon, the jetty will be functional for sending exim and inland cargo to Pandu terminal, located in Guwahati, Assam, connecting the northeast region with Kolkata via National waterway

- India’s goods exports in December surged 37% on-year to $37.29 billion, the highest-ever monthly figure, data released by the commerce and industry ministry
- Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said that India's merchandise exports will be above $400 billion this fiscal as outbound shipments during April-December crossed $300 billion, exceeding the exports of 2020-21
- India’s merchandise export in April-December was $299.74 billion, an increase of 48.85% on-year from $201.37 billion in the year ago period and an increase of 25.8% over $238.27 billion in April-December 2019.

- 100 Zero Emission Electric Buses of 'Make in India' to ply Tirupathi - Tirumala Ghat, and Intercity under FAME - II. Olectra is the first company to deploy electric buses in Andhra Pradesh. Nellore, Kadapa, Madanapalle citizens also can now travel in these Zero Emission, noiseless buses.
- Established in 2000, Olectra Greentech Limited (a public listed company) – part of the MEIL Group, pioneered the introduction of electric buses in India in 2015. It is also the largest manufacturer in India for Silicone Rubber/Composite Insulators for power transmission and distribution networks.
- The order is to supply 100 E-buses under the FAME-II scheme of the Government of India. This 100 E-buses will be supplied on a Gross Cost Contract (GCC) /OPEX model basis for 12 years. The Value of this contract is approximately Rs.140 crores.

- The Resolute Group of Companies has become the first electronics company in Telangana to have received PLI (production-linked incentive) approval for both telecom and LED lighting from the Central government.
- The Hyderabad-based company intends to make investments and start manufacturing telecom equipment, including networking products, 4G, 5G telecommunication equipment, and fibre optic telecommunication equipment. The company will scale up volumes in addition to ensuring quality.
- A total 52 companies filed their application with committed investment of Rs 5,858 crore under the PLI scheme. After evaluation of all the applications, 42 applicants with committed investment of Rs 4,614 crore have been provisionally selected as beneficiaries under the PLI scheme.
