23891. Sikkim expected to get rail connectivity by 2023: official
- Sikkim is expected to get rail connectivity with the rest of India by 2023 as the 44.98-km long Sevoke-Rangpo railway line is set to become operational within two years
- An official from the Indian Railway Construction Company, which is implementing the project, said that 30% of the work has been completed
- The line, which will connect West Bengal and Sikkim, was estimated to be completed at the cost of ₹1,339.48 crore. But because of the delay in the construction, the cost has escalated to more than ₹5,000 crore.
- The project includes 14 tunnels, 17 bridges, and five stations, which include one at Teesta in Kalimpong district that would be underground. At least 86% of the route will pass through 14 tunnels out of which 13 tunnels are in West Bengal.

- पहले चरण में साल 2016 और 2020 के बीच स्टार्टअप ने 52 शहरों में 4,000 स्थानों पर खुदरा विक्रेताओं और उपभोक्ताओं साथ जोड़ते हुए हाई-स्पीड इंटरनेट की समस्या को हल किया है।

- The Border Security Force (BSF) said that the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura will be totally fenced by 2022 to ensure foolproof security.

- India's merchandise exports in October rose to $35.47 billion, higher by 42.33 per cent on a year-on-year basis, preliminary data showed
- "Value of non-petroleum exports in October 2021 was $30.27 billion, registering a positive growth of 29.63 per cent over non-petroleum exports of $23.35 billion in October 2020 and a positive growth of 32.84 per cent over non-petroleum exports of $22.79 billion in October 2019."

23900. Merchandise Exports Grow 42.33 Per Cent YoY To $35.47 Billion In October 2021: Report
- The merchandise imports too grew by 62.49 per cent YoY to $55.37 billion last month from $34.07 billion in October 2020.
- Provisional data released by the central government reveals that India’s merchandise exports increased by 42.33 per cent on an year-on-year (YoY) basis to $35.47 billion in October 2021.
