2331. Assam Assembly passes Rs 2.63 lakh crore state budget for FY'26
- On March 24, 2025, the Assam Assembly passed a Rs 2.63 lakh crore state budget for the 2025-26 fiscal through the Assam Appropriation Bill, 2025.
- The budget reflects a deficit of Rs 620.27 crore, with no new taxes for the public. It offers tax relief to 1.5 lakh salaried individuals and extends a two-year tax holiday for green tea leaves to aid the tea industry. Social and economic measures include a Rs 5,000 one-time payment to 6.8 lakh tea garden workers and a Re 1 per unit electricity rate cut for 48 lakh domestic consumers using up to 120 units monthly.

2332. Jammu Smart City project: Over Rs 800 crore invested
- On March 24, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister informed the Assembly that over Rs 800 crore has been spent on the Jammu Smart City Project over the past six years.
- Year-Wise Expenditure: 2019-20: Rs 52 crore 2020-21: Rs 75.18 crore 2021-22: Rs 128.05 crore 2022-23: Rs 196.21 crore 2023-24: Rs 225.63 crore 2024-25 (Till Date): Rs 138.30 crore

2333. 15,000 kg of GI-tagged Dalle Chilly exported from Sikkim to the Solomon Islands
- On 24 march 2025 In a boost for farmers in the northeastern region, the government on Monday said it has successfully exported the first consignment of GI-tagged Dalle Chilly from Sikkim to the Solomon Islands.
- Dalle Chilly, also known as Fire Ball Chilly or Dalle Khursani, is renowned for its intense pungency, bright red colour, and high nutritional value.
- The total quantity, 9,000 kg was dehydrated, while 6,000 kg was preserved for further processing and export.

2335. BC Jindal Group’s JIRE Secures LoA For 300 MW Solar-BESS Project From NHPC
- On 24 March, 2025, It was reported that, BC Jindal Group has achieved a significant milestone through its renewable energy arm, Jindal India Renewable Energy (JIRE). The company has secured a 300 MW solar plus storage project from NHPC, a state-owned enterprise, after receiving the Letter of Acceptance (LoA).
- The project is part of NHPC’s 1200 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power initiative, which includes 600 MW/1200 MW energy storage systems.

2336. India's tech startups clinch $2.5 billion funding in Q1 2025, fare better sequentially: Report
- On 24 March,2025, It was reported that, India's tech startups raised $2.5 billion in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 13.64% increase over the previous quarter and an 8.7% rise from the year-ago period,
- Late-stage ventures raked in total funding of $1.8 billion in Q1 2025, an increase of 38.46% compared to Q4 2024, and an increase of 114.54% when seen in the context of Q1 2024.
- A total of 38 acquisitions took place this quarter, marking a 15.15% increase from the previous quarter and a 40.74% rise over Q1 2024.
2337. Another Missile Cum Ammunition barge joins Indian Navy
- On 8 march 2025 The eighth and final Missile Cum Ammunition (MCA) barge, LSAM 11(Yard 79), was inducted into the Indian Navy on Friday at the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. Seven of these MCA barges, designed to support the operational requirements of the Navy.
- The MCA barge, constructed by SECON Engineering Projects Pvt Ltd, will facilitate the transportation, embarkation and disembarkation of articles or ammunition to Indian Navy platforms both alongside jetties and at outer harbours.
- The barges have been indigenously designed by the shipyard in collaboration with an Indian Ship Designing firm and successfully model tested at Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam to ensure their seaworthiness.
2338. Oriental Rail Infra secures Rs 43-cr Vande Bharat order from Indian Railways
- On 7 march 2025 Oriental Rail Infrastructure has secured its first significant order for the supply of seats for the Vande Bharat Express, India's first indigenous semi high speed train.
- The order, valued at Rs 42.89 crore, was awarded by Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala.
- The order entails the supply of eight sets of one rake set of "seats" without seat fixing profiles for Trainset-18, more commonly known as the Vande Bharat Express
2339. DCDC Kidney Care receives Rs 150 crore investment from ABC Impact
- On 24 March,2025, It was reported that, DCDC Health Services, which operates dialysis centres under the DCDC Kidney Care brand, announced that it has secured an investment of Rs 150 crore from Singapore-based ABC Impact, an Asia-focused impact investor backed by Temasek.
- DCDC Health currently operates more than 200 centres across India under the public-private partnerships (PPP) mode. There are company-owned standalone clinics, serving more than 20,000 patients annually.
- DCDC currently delivers nearly 100,000 dialysis sessions per month, serving the economically weaker sections in India.
