221. NLC India commissions 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan, Boosts Renewable Capacity to 1.77 GW
- On January 25, 2026, in Bikaner district, Rajasthan, NLC India Limited commissioned the entire 300 MW Barsingsar Solar Power Project under the MNRE’s CPSU Scheme.
- NLC India Limited completed the project using domestically manufactured high-efficiency solar PV modules, supplying all generated power to Rajasthan, and expanding capacity in phases since August and November 2025.
- The project raised NLCIL’s renewable capacity to 1,766 MW and total power capacity to 7,726 MW; CMD Prasanna Kumar Motupalli and Minister G. Kishan Reddy hailed it as a step toward 500 GW non-fossil capacity by 2030.
222. Guwahati: MERD, CSRBOX sign MoU to boost healthcare initiatives in Assam

225. PM Modi distributes appointment letters to more than 61,000 newly recruites at 18th Rozgar Mela

226. India’s textile industry hits ₹16 lakh crore as exports jump 25%
- On January 24, 2026, it was reported that the textiles sector in India has seen tremendous growth in the last decade - from Rs 8.4 lakh crore in 2014 to around Rs 16 lakh crore today, becoming one of the biggest platforms for generating employment, according to the government.
- The domestic market also increased from Rs 6 lakh crore to Rs 13 lakh crore in 2025, while the country’s exports also witnessed over 25 per cent rise post-pandemic.
- The minister further informed that in Argentina, we grew by 77 per cent, Egypt by 30 per cent, Poland and Japan by 20 per cent and Sweden and France by 10 per cent, which is a very encouraging sign.
