- Texas and Mumbai native Ananta Prabhala founded Aquatein in 2019 as he wanted to offer consumers an alternative to whey powder for raising their protein intake.
- Aquatein is available on ecommerce channels in the price range of Rs 65-150 a bottle. One can also buy monthly subscriptions for packs of four, eight, or 24 with weekly deliveries.
- The products are manufactured in Mumbai and the annual capacity is around 1.1 million bottles.

- कोरोना संकट के मुश्किल दौर में भी भारत प्रत्यक्ष विदेशी निवेश (FDI) को लाने में सफल रहा है. वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 (FY21) की पहली छमाही यानी अप्रैल-सितंबर 2020 के दौरान भारत में सबसे ज्यादा एफडीआई सिंगापुर (Singapore) से आया है. इस दौरान सिंगापुर ने भारत में 8.30 अरब डॉलर का एफडीआई किया. वहीं, इस बार दूसरे और चौथे पायदान पर मौजूद रहे देशों ने इस मामले में अदला-बदली की है.
- मॉरिशस (Mauritius) 2 अरब डॉलर के निवेश के साथ चौथे नंबर पर खिसक गया है, जबकि अमेरिका (America) 7.12 अरब डॉलर के एफडीआई के साथ चौथे से दूसरे पायदान पर आ गया है. चालू वित्त वर्ष की पहली छमाही के दौरान भारत में एफडीआई के लिये अमेरिका दूसरा सबसे बड़ा देश बनकर उभरा है.
- साल भर पहले की समान अवधि में मॉरीशस भारत में एफडीआई के मामले में का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा देश था. उद्योग व आंतरिक व्यापार संवर्धन विभाग (DPIIT) के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, अप्रैल-सितंबर 2020 के दौरान भारत को केमैन आइलैंड से 2.1 अरब डॉलर का एफडीआई मिला. वहीं, नीदरलैंड्स (Netherlands) से 1.5 अरब डॉलर, ब्रिटेन (UK) से 1.35 अरब डॉलर, फ्रांस (France) से 1.13 अरब डॉलर का एफडीआई हासिल हुआ.

- (IIT) Guwahati and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has signed an agreement with Vigitrics Private Limited, a startup founded by students of IIT Guwahati and Tezpur University which aims to build technology for detecting drowsiness of drivers.
- The agreement was signed by Prof G Krishnamoorthy, Dean, Industrial Interactions and Special Initiatives, IIT Guwahati; Nikunja Borthakur, Senior Chief General Manager (Corporate affairs), NRL; and Pharvesh Salman Choudhary of Vigitrics, in presence of IIT Guwahati Director Prof TG Sitharam and other officials
- Vigitrics Private Limited,the startup company aiming to develop an Intelligent Drowsiness Detection System, will be incubated at the Technology Incubation Centre of IIT Guwahati (IITG-TIC).

- Online learning startup Elearnmarkets, founded by Vivek Bajaj, Vineet Patawari, and Vinay Pagaria, aims to spread financial literacy and saw a surge in users last year despite COVID-19.
- Elearnmarkets’ revenue stands at Rs 15 crore. Of its 730,000 registered users, 41,000 users pay for the financial learning services. Its average revenue per user is around Rs 5,000.

- DBS Bank India Limited (DBIL) announced today that it has received capital infusion of Rs2,500cr from DBS Bank Limited, Singapore, to support the India franchise, following the amalgamation of Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) with DBIL. The scheme of amalgamation came into effect on November 27, 2020.
- “DBIL is well-capitalised, and its capital adequacy ratios (CAR) remains above regulatory requirements after the amalgamation. The amalgamation provides stability and better prospects to LVB’s depositors, customers and employees following a period of uncertainty.
- Once the integration is complete, customers will be able to access a wider range of products and services, including access to the full suite of DBS digital banking services which have won multiple global accolades,” company said.

- The commerce and industry ministry last month said that India, in April-August 2020, received the highest total FDI for the first five months of a financial year stating that these trends are an endorsement of India’s status as a preferred investment destination amongst global investors.
- July-September quarter rose a massive 140% on year at $23.4 billion from $9.7 billion a year ago. Total FDI inflows including equity inflows, re-invested earnings and other capital was $28.1 billion in the second quarter compared to $14.06 billion in the September quarter of FY20.
- Mauritius was the top source of FDI in the quarter ended September 30 and the US jumped to the third position from fifth in the trailing quarter.

- एब्योम की टीम ने एयरोस्पेस पर आधारित खिलौने के मॉडल पेश किए थे. अब उस आधार पर खिलौने बनाकर उसे भेजना है. यह खिलौने सीबीएसई संचालित स्कूलों की लैब में ही बनाए जाएंगे. खिलौने बनाने में छात्रों की मदद भी ली जाएगी.
