151. Himachal Pradesh Government signs MoU to harness geothermal energy potential in the state
- On February 5, 2026, Himachal Pradesh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s Geotropy India Pvt. Ltd. to explore geothermal energy potential in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India.
- Chief Minister along with Revenue Minister and Iceland’s Ambassador witnessed the MoU signing, where DP Gupt and Tomos Otto Hansson signed on behalf of the state and company, respectively, and exploration was ordered to start promptly.
- The Chief Minister stated geothermal energy’s round-the-clock availability and significant potential to reduce reliance on conventional power, with the exploration slated to proceed without state financial burden. Sukhu also dedicated development works worth ₹16.26 cr in Una district.
152. Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects In Lower Siang District
