21671. क्या आपको प्लाज्मा डोनर की ज़रूरत है? IIT छात्रों और AIIMS के डॉक्टरों ने निकाला हल
- कोरोना से लड़ने के लिए देश में हर रोज नई-नई तैयारियाँ हो रही है। गंभीर हालत में पहुँच चुके कोरोना मरीज को प्लाज्मा की जरूरत हो तो उसके लिए डोनर ढूंढ़ने में काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ती है, इसके बाद भी कोई गारंटी नहीं होती कि डोनर मिल ही जाए। ऐसे मरीजों के लिए COPAL-19 नाम का एक एप तैयार किया गया है।
- कोविड-19 के इलाज में प्लाज्मा ट्रांसफ्यूजन से बहुत से मरीज़ों को मदद मिली है। प्लाज्मा ब्लड का एक तत्व है। इस प्रक्रिया में डोनर के शरीर से ब्लड लिया जाता है, जिसमें उस इन्फेक्शन के लिए एंटीबॉडी होती है, जिससे वह अभी अभी ठीक हुआ है।
- इस ब्लड में से प्लाज्मा को अलग किया जाता है, क्योंकि प्लाज्मा में ही वह एंटीबॉडी होती है और इसे डॉक्टर उस मरीज़ के शरीर में डालते हैं जो अभी भी उसी बीमारी/वायरस से जूझ रहा है।यह प्रक्रिया कारगर है लेकिन सबसे ज्यादा मुश्किल है डोनर्स का सही समय पर मरीज़ और डॉक्टरों के पास पहुँच पाना। इसलिए कुछ छात्रों और डॉक्टरों की एक टीम ने मिलकर एक एप्लीकेशन- COPAL-19 बनाई है, जिसे ज़रिए सही समय पर डोनर्स मरीज़ों की मदद के लिए पहुँच सकते हैं।

- The monotony of their 9-5 jobs made three friends launch Trekmunk, a travel company that organizes offbeat treks and mountaineering expeditions.

21673. [Startup Bharat] Lucknow-based Dectrocel Healthcare and Research’s AI tool can screen COVID-19 for just Rs 100
- The startup has developed an AI screening tool that can detect COVID-19 through real-time chest X-ray images and can diagnose conditions like COVID-19 induced pneumonia and other related problems.
- The startup aims to bring personalised medicine and evidence-based medicine to India, and is also looking to minimise the doctor-patient ratio in the country.
- The startup has developed a range of solutions to provide speciality healthcare for the bottom of the pyramid at just Rs 100.
- For COVID-19, the team has developed an AI screening tool, which can detect COVID-19 through real time chest X-ray images. It can diagnose conditions like COVID-19 induced pneumonia, round glass opacities and consolidation, lesion localisation in the lung parenchyma with COVID-19 risk and affected area estimate without the intervention of a human being.
21674. Bengaluru startup Meta16Labs is helping semi-urban and rural areas get access to healthcare services
- Meta16Labs’ core product MyTeleOPD is a digital clinic and telemedicine service platform, which connects doctors from across the country with patients from the rural and/or semi urban areas.
- Tapping into the growing segment, Bengaluru-based Meta16Labs Healthcare and Analytics Private Limited (m16labs) is looking to make healthcare solutions accessible to everyone, especially in semi-urban and rural areas.
- “PHCs generally do not have specialist doctors and consist of only general physicians or healthcare workers or pharmacists who provide basic diagnosis. However, with the help of MyTeleOPD platform, patients can connect with specialist doctors and receive specific treatment depending on their ailment,” he adds.
21675. Government approves purchase of fighter jets, missile systems, weapons worth Rs 38,900 crore
- The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) on approved a proposal for procurement of armament, including Russian fighter jets, indigenous missile systems and radars, worth Rs 38,900 crore. Focused on indigenous design and development these approvals include acquisitions from Indian defence industry of Rs 31,130 crore.
- The decisions were taken at a meeting of the DAC chaired by defence minister Rajnath Singh. Twenty-one MiG-29 fighter jets are being bought from Russia while 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft will be procured from Russia.
- The ministry has also approved a separate proposal to upgrade existing 59 MiG-29 aircraft.

21676. India needs Rs 50-60 lakh crore foreign investments to bolster coronavirus-hit economy: Gadkari
- India needs foreign direct investments (FDI) worth Rs 50 to 60 lakh crore and the money can be tapped mainly through infrastructure projects as well as MSME sector to accelerate the wheels of coronavirus-hit economy, according to Union minister Nitin Gadkari.
- Emphasising that at this juncture FDI is the need of the hour, the senior minister said such funds would benefit the country as there is a need for pumping in liquidity into the market. Economic activities have been significantly disrupted in the wake of the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns that were in place to curb spreading of infections.
- Country at this juncture needs liquidity. Without liquidity our economy's wheel will not accelerate... Rs 50-60 lakh crore foreign investment is needed in the country under present circumstances to boost the economy," the road transport, highways and MSME minister told PTI in an interview. 21677. First set of private trains to be introduced by 2023, all 151 such services by 2027
- The Indian Railways confirmed that the first set of 12 private trains will be introduced in 2023, followed by 45 more in the next fiscal, according to an initial timeline drawn by the railways which plans to roll out all 151 such train services by 2027. The railways earlier this month invited proposals from companies to run 151 modern passenger trains on 109 pairs of routes across the country. The project would entail a private sector investment of about Rs 30,000 crore.
- As part of the plan for private trains, the railways has planned to introduce 12 trains in 2022-23, 45 in 2023-2024, 50 in 2025-26 and 44 more in the next fiscal, taking the total number of trains to 151 by the end of FY 2026-2027, news agency PTI reported.
- The railways has said that 70 per cent of the private trains will be manufactured in India which will be designed for a maximum speed of 160 kmph. There would be a reduction in journey time by around 10-15 per cent at 130 kmph and around 30 per cent at 160 kmph.
21678. Amazon to export USD 10 billion Make in India products by 2025: Jeff Bezos
- Amazon chief and World’s richest man, Jeff Bezos has said that the e-commerce giant will export Make in India products worth $10 billion by 2025 as the company released 3rd edition of its annual e-commerce exports report .
- “We are going to use Amazons global footprint to export $10 billion Make in India goods by 2025,” Bezos said in a statement.
- Amazon’s cumulative export sales in 2019 grew by 100% touching $2 billion ( Rs 8,000 crore), the e-tailer’s country head, India and Senior-Vice President, Amit Agarwal said.

- Direct selling FMCG firm Amway India is looking to invest an additional Rs 100 crore over the next two years to fuel its future growth plans in the country, a top company official has said.
- Amway has committed an investment of ₹1,000 crore in India, which includes an investment of ₹600 crore to set up its manufacturing facility in Nilakotai, Tamil Nadu.

- The UK India Business Council signed a (MoU) with Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), Industries and Mines Department, Government of Gujarat, the premier agency focused on accelerating industrial development in the state.
