- In 2013, Maharashtra experienced one of the worst droughts in 40 years. Villages such as Shelkewadi, Randulabad, Satichiwadi, Muthalane, Phalakewadi and Thapewadi, faced a severe crisis as they fell in the rain shadow region of the Western Ghats.
- Pune-based Rahul Bakare launched Urdhvam Environmental Technologies Pvt Ltd to create an innovative machine — BoreCharger, which increases the quantum of rainwater entering the groundwater aquifers
- the BoreCharger technology undertakes an “angiography” of borewells, using an underwater camera system and studies the various aquifers underground. Once identified, the device creates perforations in the casing pipe at hydro-geologically appropriate depths using a patented robotic arm, allowing the water from the upper aquifer to enter and store in the deeper ones.

- मिर्च जैसी फसलों के पौधों को बचाने के लिए किसानों को असम के किसान राजिब बोरा का मुफ्त का जुगाड़ अपनाना चाहिए, जिसमें बिना किसी अतिरिक्त लागत के किसान केले के तनों की मदद से फसल बचा सकते हैं।
- मिर्च जैसी फसलों के पौधों को खेत में लगाने के बाद कुछ दिनों तक खास देखभाल की जरूरत होती है, कई किसान तो बांस लगाकर तो कई किसान लो टनल पॉली हाउस भी लगाते हैं, जो काफी खर्चीले होते हैं। ऐसे किसानों को राजिब बोरा का यह देसी जुगाड़ अपनाना चाहिए।
- असम में भूत झोलकिया मिर्च की खेती करने वाले किसान राजिब बोरा (41 वर्ष) ने मिर्च के पौधे खेत में लगाने के साथ ही पौधों के बगल में केले का तना लगा दिया है, जिससे पौधा सूरज की तेज रोशनी औरा हवाओं में भी सुरक्षित रहता है।

- 30 साल के मधुमक्खी पालक निमित सिंह शहद को कुछ इसी तरीके से प्रकृति के नजदीक रहकर तैयार करते हैं। वह कहते हैं, "शहद के अलग-अलग स्वाद की एक लंबी लिस्ट है।" निमित का उत्तर प्रदेश के लखनऊ में अपना खुद का एक ब्रांड है 'मधुमक्खीवाला'। जिसके जरिए वे अलग-अलग स्वाद और जायके वाला शहद लोगों को उपलब्ध कराते हैं।
- 30 साल के निमित आज एक सफल हनीमेकर हैं। उनका अपना खुद का एक ब्रांड है 'मधुमक्खीवाला'। इसे उन्होंने 2016 में पंजीकृत करवाया था।
- अब तक वह कन्याकुमारी के तट से लेकर कश्मीर के पहाड़ों तक, पूर्व में ओडिशा से लेकर बंगाल तक और उत्तर पूर्व में सिक्किम से लेकर नागालैंड तक की यात्रा कर चुके हैं। उन्होंने अपने इस सफर में मधुमक्खी पालन की उन बारीकियों के बारे में जाना और सीखा, जिनकी निमित को बहुत ही कम या कहें न के बराबर समझ थी।

- India has successfully launched the 41st Scientific Expedition to Antarctica with the arrival of the first batch of its contingent at the southern white continent.
- The first batch comprising of 23 scientists and support staff reached the Indian Antarctic Station Maitri last week.
- The Indian Antarctic programme, which began in 1981, has completed 40 Scientific Expeditions so far. India has built three Permanent Research Base Stations in Antarctica, named Dakshin Gangotri, Maitri and Bharati.
- The 41st expedition has two major programmes. The first programme encompasses geological exploration of the Amery ice-shelf at Bharati Station. The second programme involves reconnaissance surveys and preparatory work for drilling of 500 metres of ice core near Maitri. It will help in understanding the Antarctic climate.

- India’s Covid vaccination coverage has crossed 113 crore mark. Out of the total vaccination, more than 75 crore 50 lakh doses have been given as first dose while over 37 crore 51 lakh doses have been administered as second dose
- Around 60 lakh vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, over eight thousand new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours while around 12 thousand people recovered. One hundred ninety-seven people lost their lives during the period.
- Over 11 lakh COVID tests were conducted on 15 Nov 2021. So far, 62 crore 57 lakh tests have been conducted in the country.

- The airbases near the Kurebhar airstrip are Kanpur, Bareilly and Gorakhpur, which are front-line bases to launch against the northern neighbour
- the newly build airstrips on the UP highways are part of Indian Air Force (IAF) plans with the roads specially designed to handle the weight of fighters like Mirage-2000 H and transport planes like C-130 J Hercules.

- Sikkim is expected to get rail connectivity with the rest of India by 2023 as the 44.98-km long Sevoke-Rangpo railway line is set to become operational within two years
- An official from the Indian Railway Construction Company, which is implementing the project, said that 30% of the work has been completed
- The line, which will connect West Bengal and Sikkim, was estimated to be completed at the cost of ₹1,339.48 crore. But because of the delay in the construction, the cost has escalated to more than ₹5,000 crore.
- The project includes 14 tunnels, 17 bridges, and five stations, which include one at Teesta in Kalimpong district that would be underground. At least 86% of the route will pass through 14 tunnels out of which 13 tunnels are in West Bengal.

- राजस्थान में किशनगढ़ के पास रेनवाल के रहने वाले नरेंद्र कुमार गरवा ने 10 × 10 फीट के क्षेत्र में मोती की खेती करने के लिए 40,000 रुपये का निवेश किया था, जो उन्हें हर साल शून्य रखरखाव के साथ लगभग 4 लाख रुपये की आमदनी देता है।
- पिछले दस वर्षों से अपने पिता के साथ एक किताबों की दुकान चलाते हैं और इसके साथ ही वह मोती की खेती भी करते हैं। मेरे पास अपना खुद का कोई खेत नहीं हैं, जिस वजह से मैं खेती करने के अपने सपने को पूरा नहीं कर पा रहा था। लेकिन फिर, किसी जानकार ने मुझे एक वीडियो भेजा जिसमें कहा गया था कि खेती करने के लिए जमीन की आवश्यकता नहीं है। उस वीडियो से प्रेरित होकर, मैंने सब्जियां उगाना शुरू किया।

- गुणवत्ता के आधार पर, एक मोती 200 रुपये से 1,000 रुपये के बीच बेचा जा सकता है। इन वर्षों में, नरेंद्र ने अपने उत्पादन में सुधार किया है और हर साल लगभग 3,000 मोती का उत्पादन करता है। मसल्स की मृत्यु दर भी 70 फीसदी से घटकर 30 फीसदी रह गई है।
