23791. IIT Madras incubated startup has developed a head-mounted wearable device to operate computers, smart devices.
- Chennai-based Dextroware Devices has developed a head-mounted wearable device called ‘Mouseware’ that enables hands-free operation of computers and smartphones.
- The project got recognised through various tech fests like IEEE SS’12, IIT-M Shaastra, and Google - Build for Digital India, where it won accolades. “This validation motivated me to scale it up,”
- out of the 40,000 people who lose their upper limbs (hands), 85 percent live without any assistive devices due to the prohibitively high costs of such arm prosthetics.
23792. Union Minister Piyush Goyal to inaugurate 40th edition of IITF on 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'
- Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2021 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday.
- The 40th edition of IITF, a magnum of the India Trade Promotion Organization represents India in totality as an ideal destination for numerous business and investment opportunities.
- The fair is being organized including at the New Exhibition Complex at Pragati Maidan. 23793. More than 120 crore vaccine doses provided to States, UTs for free, says Centre
- over 120 crores eight lakh vaccine doses have been provided to States and UTs so far through the Centre's free of cost channel and through the direct state procurement category.
- Health Ministry said, more than 16 crores 74 lakh balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
- the Centre has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalization of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply free of cost 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.
23794. King Chilli ‘Raja Mircha’ from Nagaland exported to London for the first time
- In a major boost to exports of Geographical Indications (GI) products from the north-eastern region, a consignment of ‘Raja Mircha’ also referred as king chilli from Nagaland was today exported to London via Guwahati by air for the first time.
- The consignment of King Chilli also considered as world’s hottest based on the Scoville Heat Units (SHUs). The consignment was sourced from Tening, part of Peren district, Nagaland and was packed at APEDA assisted packhouse at Guwahati.
- The chilli from Nagaland is also referred as Bhoot Jolokia and Ghost pepper. It got GI certification in 2008. APEDA in collaboration with the Nagaland State Agricultural Marketing Board (NSAMB), coordinated the first export consignment of fresh King Chilli.

- 2019-20 में 10,114 करोड़ रुपये के बराबर के निर्यात की तुलना में 2020-21 में भारत ने 11,019 करोड़ रुपये के बराबर के फलों एवं सब्जियों का निर्यात किया
- उत्तराखंड से कृषि उत्पादों के निर्यात को मिले एक बड़े प्रोत्साहन में हरिद्वार के किसानों से प्राप्त करी पत्ता, भिंडी, नाशपाती और करेला सहित सब्जियों की पहली खेप आज संयुक्त अरब अमीरात के दुबईको निर्यात की गईं।
- सब्जियों का निर्यात उत्तराखंड में उगाए गए बाजरा की एक खेप के मई, 2021 में डेनमार्क को निर्यात किए जाने के बाद हुआ है।
- उत्तराखंड कृषि उत्पाद विपणन बोर्ड (यूकेएपीएमबी)तथा एक निर्यातक जस्ट ऑर्गेनिक, के सहयोग से एपीडा ने निर्यात के लिए उत्तराखंड के किसानों से रागी, और झिंगोरा प्राप्त एवं प्रसंस्कृत किया, जो यूरोपीय संघ के जैविक प्रमाणन मानकों को पूरा करता है।

23796. Raksha Mantri inaugurates Kalpana Chawla Centre for Research in Space Science & Technology at Chandigarh University
- Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated Kalpana Chawla Centre for Research in Space Science & Technology (KCCRSST) at Chandigarh University on January 03, 2022. He also launched a Scholarship Scheme, worth Rs 10 crore, for the wards of Defence Personnel of the three Services.

- The CUSat will be among the 75 student-built satellites to be launched into space on the eve of the 75thIndependence Day in 2022. The Chandigarh University has joined the list of 13 institutes like Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, IIT Bombay and became the first university in North India to design and develop its own satellite. For the project, 75 students of the University have been working on the Chandigarh University Student Satellite Project under the guidance of eminent Indian scientists.
