991. ‘Responsible for death of thousands of civilians’: India slams Pakistan at UNHRC
- India has used its right of reply at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) to respond to Pakistan on issues of religious minorities and terrorism. “No religious minority can freely live or practice its religion in Pakistan on 4 March 2023.
- The Ahmadiya community continues to be persecuted by the state for simply practising their faith… Pakistan's policies are directly responsible for the death of thousands of civilians around the world,” India's representative Seema Pujani slammed her Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar.
- India responded to Pakistan’s accusations of human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. India accused Pakistan of being responsible for the deaths of thousands of civilians globally and highlighted its persecution of religious minorities, including Ahmadi’s, Christians, Hindus and Sikhs.
- “In the last decade, Pakistan’s own Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances has received 8,463 complaints. The Baloch people have borne the brunt of this cruel policy. Students, doctors, engineers, teachers and community leaders are regularly disappeared by the state" Pujani, said.

992. Rajnath Singh inaugurates TASL's defence manufacturing facility in Morocco
- On Sep 23, 2025, Defence Minister of India and Morocco’s Defence Minister Abdelatif Loudyi inaugurated Tata Advanced Systems Limited’s 20,000 sq m defence manufacturing facility in Berrechid, Morocco, to produce the indigenously developed WhAP 8x8 combat vehicles.
- Developed jointly by TASL and DRDO, the WhAP features modular configurations like infantry carriers, reconnaissance vehicles, and ambulances, with advanced protection, high mobility, and remote weapon options. Production began three months early, with initial deliveries due next month.
- The facility, Morocco’s largest defence plant and India’s first private defence unit in Africa, will source up to 50% components locally, generate significant jobs, enhance Morocco’s defence base, and serve as a hub for exports across Africa and Europe.

993. "Futile Propaganda": India Slams Pakistan Over Kashmir Remark At UN
- India has slammed Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Council during its right of reply where it warned Islamabad against spreading propaganda and attempts to foment communal disharmony in India.
- The statement comes after Pakistan during the General Debate under Agenda item 4 at the UNHRC spoke about Jammu and Kashmir.
- India called on Pakistan to focus on the safety, security and well-being of its minority communities instead of engaging in "futile propaganda" to create communal disharmony in India, PR Thulasidhass, Under Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Permanent Mission of India at the United Nations Human Rights Council.

994. Modi lays foundation stones of hydel projects in Arunachal district bordering China
- On 22 September, 2025 PM visited Arunachal Pradesh to remotely lay the foundation stones for the Heo (240 MW) and Tato-I (186 MW) hydropower projects in the Siyom sub-basin, worth over ₹3,700 crore.
- PM highlighted Arunachal’s contribution to India’s 500 GW renewable energy target by 2030 and praised the Vibrant Villages Programme, transforming border hamlets into aspirational districts and tourism hubs.
- PM later inaugurated the renovated 16th-century Tripureswari temple in Tripura (₹52 crore under PRASAD scheme) and emphasized self-reliance and reforms benefiting farmers, women, youth, MSMEs, and all regions, aiming for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

995. Uber partners with Indian Railways at Ahmedabad, Howrah stations
- On September 23, 2025, Uber partnered with Indian Railways at Ahmedabad and Howrah stations to improve passenger connectivity and integrate ride-hailing services with major railway transportation hubs in India.

996. India, Morocco sign defence cooperation MoU to boost strategic partnership
- On September 22, 2025 India and Morocco signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation in Rabat, with Defence Minister of India also announcing the opening of a new Defence Wing at the Embassy of India in the Moroccan capital.
- According to Ministry of Defence, the MoU establishes a robust institutional framework for expanding ties, paving the way for collaboration in defence industry, joint exercises, military training, and capacity building.
- To give momentum to these initiatives, Defence Minister announced the opening of a new Defence Wing at the Embassy of India in Rabat.
- The meeting marks a significant milestone in the growing strategic convergence between India and Morocco, reinforcing their long-standing friendship and shared commitment to peace and stability.

997. Goa Approves Rs 2500 Crore PPP Projects to Transform State Infrastructure
- On 23 September 2025, It was reported that, Goa’s state cabinet approved seven high-value development projects worth ₹2,500 crore across Panaji and Vasco to modernize public infrastructure under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
- The state government, in collaboration with the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), will execute these projects using private sector expertise, advanced construction methods, and modern project management to accelerate development efficiently.
- Projects include redevelopment of government buildings, transport hubs, and civic facilities, incorporating energy-efficient designs, low-carbon materials, and gender-neutral spaces. Construction will start within 10–15 days, generating employment and promoting sustainable, smart-city-aligned urban infrastructure.
998. "World's Worst Human Rights Records": India's Sharp Dig At Pakistan
- India has reiterated that matters pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are "purely internal" and Pakistan cannot comment on its domestic matters. The strong remarks came a day after Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar raised the Kashmir bogey at the 78th session of the United Nations.
- "Pakistan has become a habitual offender when it comes to misusing this August forum to peddle baseless and malicious propaganda against India," Petal Gahlot, First Secretary for second committee of General Assembly, said on 23 Sep 2023. It does so to deflect the world's attention away from its own "abysmal record" on human rights.
- India tore into Pakistan for having the "world's worst human rights records", especially those of the minority and women. "Pakistan would do well to put its own house in order before venturing to point a finger at the world's largest democracy," Ms Gahlot said.
- She sought to remind Pakistan its "glaring example of systemic violence against minorities" - the incident in August in which several churches and Christian houses were burnt down in Faisalabad district.

999. Cochin Shipyard inks pact with HD KSOE to build large vessels in India
- On 20 September 2025, in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering to collaborate on the construction of large vessels during the event 'Samudra se Samriddhi,' the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said in a statement on, September 23, 2025.
- CSL and HD KSOE will jointly build vessels, using CSL’s 310-metre dry dock and existing facilities, while exploring greenfield shipyards, new business areas, and skill development to strengthen India’s shipbuilding capabilities.
- CSL plans an 80-acre Block Fabrication Facility in Kochi (₹3,700 crore) and a ₹15,000 crore greenfield shipyard in Tamil Nadu, generating 12,000+ jobs, constructing Suezmax tankers, container ships, and Capesize bulk carriers, aligned with Maritime India Vision 2030.
1000. India slams Pakistan for ‘baseless and deceitful narratives’ on Kashmir at UN General Assembly
- India has slammed Pakistan for its “baseless and deceitful narratives” as Islamabad’s envoy here made references to Kashmir in the UN General Assembly. “Earlier in the day, one delegation misused this forum to spread baseless and deceitful narratives, which is not a surprise,” Minister in India’s Permanent Mission to the UN Pratik Mathur said.
- Mathur was delivering India’s statement at the UN General Assembly debate on the Annual Report of the UN Security Council. His retort came after Pakistan’s UN envoy Munir Akram made references to Kashmir in his remarks from the General Assembly podium during the debate.
- Pakistan regularly raises the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at various UN platforms, irrespective of the subject matter being discussed or the theme of the forum and fails to get any support or traction.
- India has previously rejected Pakistan’s attempts to raise the Kashmir issue at international forums, asserting that the “Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Ladakh have been, are and will always remain integral and inalienable parts of India.”
